originally jun's character didnt exist. its actually about 4 guys and their friendships. the director gave each role to whoever had the best matching characteristics for the role. nino def. is a great actor so main role for him satoshi as a painter and such. He thought they needed someone around the guys who kinda watches their friendship and thats who Jun played it also worked well for having 5ppl. Jun also was filming some other drama at the time he was too busy to play a major role, too.

The movie is pretty laid back, so don't expect too much in terms of plot, though as a fan it may not be as important. However i think it is interesting and fresh, to find out more on what i think check out my blog.
Kiiroi Namida/Yellow Tears is basically about the relationship between a number of characters with different goals in life, and their personal struggles in the pursuit of their dreams, in 1960s Tokyo.
