@LeeAlacoque So then were are you ridding man i got to say one thing bro is that if you want a jump next time you go to that spot bring a shovel with you an make it your own man i have done that lots of times when i go out so when you see a spot pick that an make it your own.
Not too bad for the jump your hitting. You just need to find a double or tabletop. The jump your hitting doesn't have enough lip. But just make sure you have room to save it when you land if you can't get it back around!
@samy699 It's a big area with a lot more than what's in this video, and it's about 20 minutes south of Invermere on Westside road. There's lots of hill climbing
Ya man all these guys are telling you the truth if you go big for it try and get flat its not so much your handle bars as it is leaning on the face then when u get in air push down on the handle bar twoards the sky and when you take off do the motion you want with your head, bringin it back is pretty natural and if you do get out of control rev your engine and it will help. But your off 2 a good start thats how i started out and its true you do need 2 use a double or somethin step ups dnt work
i learned how do whips by accident lol i took a jump faster than i wanted to do ever since then it was getting better and better do do and i got more comfortable and started do do tricks one foot off the pegs then both feet off the pegs stuff like that and hitting step ups with major air lol
You'll have it down in no time...Now anyone want to guess how many stitches it will take to approximate the wound he'll get on his chin after casing a jump, considering he has no bar-pad ?
Instructions really dont work. With experience and being comfortable on the bike you will naturally begin to whip. If you need instructions and just cant do it you are not experienced enough. It will come with time
I need to ride in Canada it just looks so beautiful.
Instructions worked for me. I found out how to do it by reading on the internet and watching videos. then I went and tried it and it worked but they were really small. Same with scrubbing
2)when approaching the jump slowly tilt you bike to the side.
3)Once about to leave the upramp turn your hand bars (slightly at first) the way you want to whip the bike. And you can use your feet aswell to help though i dont know how to do that. One you in the air make sure that your in a nuetral position and it should come back naturally.
Oh and make sure its on a big enough jump. If you try it good luck. =-)
When I first started I just leaned over on the face of the jump. Now that I'm better I do that and try to push the bike out with my inside foot. To bring it back I pull it in with my outside foot and rev.
ahh I remember my first whip!

Build the top of them hills up, to make it into a good jump. Then you can start doing some decent whips

Cool track. You could just use a shovel and make it super steep with a real steep landing and you could probably go bigger
Jawsh98 11 months ago
@twitchkx100 No I don't have any good jumps. A little bigger than this video. If I had a bigger jump I could probably do some decent ones

you seriously need to put a lip on that jump or rebuild it cause your getting no air what so ever
mxforlife33 1 year ago
ps your whip are not bad just you dont have the air time to really whip your wheel high
mxforlife33 1 year ago
Ya I know but me and my friend might build a new bigger jump there
LeeAlacoque 1 year ago
@LeeAlacoque if you build a jump dont build a step up to whip on. build a flat ground double or triple

Looks like you're barely getting off the ground..

not saying i can do it good, but all u gotta do (say i was whipping the back end out to the right)
is lean on the left, and pull your right grip towards yu in the air, and use right foot to help bring it back
xxusdxx 2 years ago
Hope this helps but what i do is:
1) find a jump with a smooth not sharp upramp.

how do you whip??? what gear is best for small jump whipping?
LethalMX 2 years ago
When I first started I just leaned over on the face of the jump. Now that I'm better I do that and try to push the bike out with my inside foot. To bring it back I pull it in with my outside foot and rev.
I don't think it matters what gear you're in.

yeah thanks i went out on the weekend and did a whip :) i felt happy i whiped it out like 40cm :p
ill post it as a video reply if i get it on youtube.
