I think Clarkson turns his nose up at any car that normal people can afford. I've had a Biturbo for 10 yrs, and it IS reliable! As for being dangerous to drive, most Ferraris, Lambos and other sports cars are if badly driven. It seems that the motoring 'elite' just don't like the fact that a normal enthusiast like me can own an example of the most evocative marques of all time.......
Anyway you look at it, that MC 12 is hideous. Pitty, if you see what they CAN do with a car: the Maserati Granturismo and the Granturismo MC Stradale are true things of beauty!
wait i don't get why he smashed it? I liked this show until i just saw him smash a maserati like it was nothing. At one point i see him saying he knew how to say maserati before mom, and the next he is smashing a biturbo. He never said why he didn't like it though. Its ugly but the interior is beautiful, v6 with 2(bi)turbochargers that goes 150 when it is 20-30years old and a maserati. not too bad for me
And lets not forget, whatever you think about all the biturbos, it saved the Brand after all. It was just to challenging for the little marque, with all the tech innovations and gov. dictations, to be a success from the start. I have salvaged about 6 cars for parts, one with 212'000km on the clock, engine runnig better then every1 I had before. Now you show me a Ferrari with 200'000km, and then we can talk again. remember it was a Maser per tutti, was the Folks-Porsche much better? Ignorants!!!
I like the show and the boys, but Clarksson is biased about the biturbo. Its a very good sports car when only slightly modified, i.e. for road & track use. Early 911 were horrific to drive too, and later biturbos like the SI, 224 and especially the Ghibli2 were great GT cars. In the FIA WTCC the Ghiblis held their own against the Ferraris, Corvettes and 911's, sometimes even faster on certain tracks. And even as my everyday car, I make modern 911, RS4&6 pissing their pants, esp. on hillclimb...
where is part 2/3/4?

I love top gear and Jeremy Clarkson, but Maserati should sue him for destroying cool cars like that Biturbo, even if it wasn't reliable at all.

@seriousbe Oh, it was MORE than unreliable. The Biturbo was also INSANELY laggy, almost dangerously so.
