I bought the wheel and my impression: dude, you need a solid table to play on hehe. It is fighting real strong against you. If you let a 5 year old child play with the wheel, he won't be able to hold it. It will prolly turn the kid with it xD. I only played Dirt2 with 100% force feedback settings ingame. Very very cool stuff.

@ThaDRP GT5 is good. But for the time we waited all 1000+ cars should come with cockpit view and be alble to change the wheels except on some cars like the zonda r etc etc but overall it is the best racing game out there at the moment. But obviously didn't come close to the gt1 and gt3 and gt4

He took 10 years to transform gran turismo into utter crap. Aside from online gaming I hate gt5 in 2 weeks I was done with it everything finished while in gt3 and gt4 I'm still away from the end. Yeah it has loads of cars and stuff but it just isn't the gran turismo I once knew. Mind you I play gt since day one so I know what I'm talking about.

heres my review.. only buy it if you are just going to cruise and stuff cause i've had it for about 10 months now and the brakes are fuked up because when im driving in GT the brakes just fkin come on so i have to either pull the brakes back to prevent it or pull out the wire which connects to the wheel and blow in it then the brakes stops but it still comes on my rating: 4.5/5

@robiscool09 You can use the wheel for a lot more than GT5, it works for all driving games (more or less, some advanced button features like the real time red tuning wheel may not work in some games) and for PC too! I have one and will never drive with a controller again!

Ok so I've been playing GT5P for a while but decided to pick up the DF GT wheel and can tell you all that for the past 3 weeks I haven't slept any becasue of this wheel. YOU CAN ACTUALY FEEL THE FREAKING ROAD WITH THIS THING. IT'S ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. The finish isn't cheap at all and the experience of the game is just out of this world. If you like racing games and plan on buying GT5 (Nov24th) this wheel is a must. Worth every penny!!!

The GT Driving Force is shit. As soon as you let go of the wheel, and FF kicks a bit in, it keeps kicking the wheel from left to right, and right to left. I don't see this happening with my 350z on the highway.

I bought this wheel about 9 months ago. It's a solid wheel. The force feedback is strong. The pedals are a little too lightweight and dont offer enough resistance for my lead feet. I mostly play Burnout with it, but I tried the GT time trial demo with it a few months back and it was great. I've got Prologue coming in the mail so I can practice up before the big show starts in November. I would say this is the best wheel for the price. If you buy a wheel take the time to build a stand.

i got it steering wheel and the pedals are exellent the brake is more realtisic with the feel with the pressure on the brakes it like a real car and i never stop going on it :D becareful though i may go 900-degree each way but every game is diffrent so dont force it too much lol but dont worry you know when to not too :) hoped this helped any questions let me know :)

NFS Carbon, NFS Shift, NFS Shift, GT5 Prologue, DIRT 1 & 2 i want to go on steering wheel it makes the racing game whole lot better and realitic with the feel of the road especialy on GT 5 and Undercover

plus the game be cheaper before you know it when you play on the racing games with this cause beleve me you will want to go on it everyday :D

it does come with pedals, with very flimsy ones... i had it for 6 months and the springs of the pedals have already turned shit. The wheel works really well though.

But if you;re really looking for a wheel for racing, buy G25/G27, they worth every penny.

I think u mean Traction Control System.

If you have too often spinning wheels turn it on.The higher the level the more the TC System will try to not spin the wheels while accelerating.I recommend u not to use TCS because its much more challenging if u have to put your foot on the gas pedal carfully.

But if u are a newbe u can use a little bit TCS if u want and set the TCS level lower if u can control the your car and one day u won't spin the wheels without TCS.

Never use TCS for drifting.

Basically narrowing down what you said... If increased TCS your car will receive more grip but less acceleration and more understeer. When it's off, You'll feel like the Stig!

Disagree. I always use a little TCS to prevent wheelspin in high powered cars, and I'm far from a newbie. A vast majority of high powered racing cars have some kind of TCS installed except pro-stocks, classics, and certain muscle cars. Running a prototype class car without a little TCS in real life would be suicidal, and I like to have it in sims as well.

If I'm in a really high powered car, and im just driving for fun, I'm not going to practice getting the right ammount of throttle pressure to avoid wheelspin when i could just use TCS on 1 or 2. Not everyone is going to drive a sim without TCS just because its harder, or even because its better training, which its not, because there hasn't been a sim to my knowledge that can properly simulate TCS, and driving without it in any sim is just unnecessary difficulty unless your in it for lap times.

if your used to not having it, im not saying its better, but for less hardcore racers its definately going to be more liberal, and they can always dial it down as they get more comfortable. I only use TCS in Prologue on the F1 car and the tuned american cars myself, and it 2 on the f1, and 1 on the others.

Fair enough, it is easier to regulate your throttle with pedals and I'll agree the f1 is a pain for that. Getting out of first gear on a high powered car without TCS is soo frustrating aswell. If you feel more comfortable with it on then fine but practicing without it is a great habbit to get into.

I'm quite capable of driving without TCS, I chose not to for comfort. like I said, if I was going for leaderboard, I'd have to drive with it off anyway. I just don't think telling people to crank off their TCS without them having prior experience is a good way to get more people racing, if people told me to start sim racing without TCS on, I'd about hate motorsport before I ever really got into it.

It has a 6 speed gearbox, but again.. Are you sure that this wheel isn't more precise (better fealing of the road?) in GT5 P than the G25, since it is kinda made for the game. I don't know myself, but I'm close to buying a steering wheel mainly for Gran Turismo so I would really like to know if the G25 is still woth the price..

I know that it has manual gears + cluch, better materials and paddles, but the DF GT does have better funktions on the wheel, and is probatly made for the game.. :D

If you are planing to use a steering wheel on more games than GT5 P, then the G25 would be your choice.

Specially if some of those games that you're going to play, have a clutch feature.

I bought the Driving Force GT manly because I play Gran Turismo, and I don't have that mush games with the clutch feature.

So in the end, it depends on what you're going to do with it.
