I must be a natural kabbalahist cause ive spent my life thinking and coming up with these same ideas. After being burnt by religion im afraid of believing in organized beliefs. What separates kabbalah from philosophy?
I have spend my life giving...to friend's, family, stranger's I hate seeing people struggling but ive come to realise! people will take, take, take until you have nothing left which is what has happened to me! im fortunate because I know with hard work I can get back to a comfortable position but I cant believe the people I have helped have watched me struggle recently. When I get back to how I was im going to be more carefull and learn not to fufill everyone elses need's.
Actually, I will argue that the fulfillment has little personal progression(or in this case a fulfilled desire). I admire all of your other videos, however, one does not need to make others happy in order to make oneself happy. As Rand would say, one should not be selfish with their desires but rather with their work and self. For example I can choose to be a good person because it fulfills me and not because other people are telling me to do so.Pleasure is not a good way to prove collectivism
Ego can't be removed, ever. If the ego makes me want, and I WANT to stop wanting, and I WANT to start giving instead, then that want/desire/ego is the propelent for the change in behavior. How could I ever give, without an ego? Wouldn't I have to WANT to give, a.k.a, desire to give? At the end of any enlightened giving session, it would have been done for the long lasting pleasure recieved; which of course is self satisfaction. Which of course is the definition of ego.
Because satisfaction comes from what we believe in. Our beliefs are based on what we hear, what we see and what we think. Before you can be satisfied you need to know who you are and what you want to hear, see and think. Pleasure is the act of satisfaction. Life has it's pleasures and disappointments we all need the motivation which comes from beliefs.
haha, when im fasting I feel just like he explained. First bite is pure pleasure, second bite is good, so is the third, and at last it´s nothing special anymore. Before beginning to eat, I feel like I can eat the entire kitchen :)
Yeah but. I fulfilled a lot of other people "needs" and yet after some time ego satisfaction and gratification fades a way and you are back to square one. How do you solve that ? The truth is that minds are bottomless pits and whatever you do you cant fill it up. So basically freedom comes by stopping the process all together. That means renouncing the mind all together. At least thats what I think.
Realy good presentations (In my opinion) it helps explain a bit.
Im studying a book called (The Happiness Trap) By Dr Russ Harris M.D. it explains why people can become very sad or depressed trying to chase happiness, Also how our tribe has become much larger through media etc. (Its a very good book for anyone going through hard times or just wants a bit more understanding of their own thoughts and i always look for other info like this here.
I don't feel pleasure to give to some people, I will be satisfied when the rest of humanity is satisfied. That will take a long time! It is possible though. :D
The true spiritual journey is emancipation of humanity from capitalism, a system of political economy based on wage slavery of immense humanity in a market mechanism where war, poverty, expolitation, enviornmental destruction, animal cruelty and so on are the business as usual. Capitalism is the mass mind control of many for the private gain of a few, a reality of fear, insecurity, devaluation and distortions of our true potentials for a world of harmony in cooperation to take care of our wellbeing
That is not a question, it is a presupposition that causes the people you are supposed to be enlightening into buying into your belief that we are never satisfied and is part of the reason that you are blind to the truth. Most people are satisfied and comfortably numb state of inaction. Most people don't move until fear of pain, perceived pain or pain causes them to move. Just look at society. The smallest percentage of human achievement comes from pursuit of pleasure.
the reason why we aren't satisfied because we always want what ever gets us into that feeling of being in "heaven" or pleasure. you subconsciously want to feel that heaven on earth by addictions and satisfying physical needs. the only pleasure that will last you a lifetime is to practice meditation, and stay in the present moment, that means still you mind of thoughts. im satisfied about life 90% of the time, cuz i find pleasure in being in the NOW. :)
Presenting beliefs as facts doesnt make it a fact to others though, but a theory. Belief i think can best be defined as a personally aquired explanation. Fact is many times a dangerous word to attach ones beliefs to.
Wrong ! The brain is not a empty slate but a process of making connections. We know pain and pleasure. Learning is the process of associating A to pleasure and B to pain, etc...
A baby experienced happines even before he was born. Thats what give him human quality, of course for a baby in the whomb the happines is not a ferrari, maybe is just the relaxation of his mother when she is in the shower.
Aehm.. If you're suffering, you're probably hurt physical. When kids react on pain, they cry. Thats just the way nature is. They aren't used to pain so they just let it out without controlling them selfs, i think it probably seems like the easiest way to overcome that feeling.. Like when your toe hits that nasty leg of you table and you just screams OUCH! without recognizing... Pain and pleassure are two different things, very different...
Material satisfation is temporary, everyone has got this experience,Thus trying to saitsfy the senses does not make one satisfyedScience means observation and experiment,Spiritual science means the same you do a observation and you do the experiment to find the truth, not that you blindly follow. Results must be there.trying to satisfy The soul in relationship with God is permanent satisfaction. Thus when the eternal soul is satified, you allways remain happy.go to the isckon temple, do the experi..
You don't get pleasure out of satisfying others. You should do things for people for yourself, not for them. I know it sounds selfish, but it's YOUR life and you'd still be doing the same thing, just gaining satisfaction.
you can't kill your ego, just try and persuade it to let go of the newly aquired power which it grips so tightly. We are our egos. Its the very thing that seperates us from the garden, the id.
I try to take everything I hear, dissect it, and take out the good bits for me. This is the first video re kabbalah which contained some bits that made sense. thank you.
I read somewhere a long time ago that while miracles do occur spontaneously on occasion that most of the time, they are the result of states of perturbation. You have brought that precept back to mind.
?? its not mind control techniques. its your level of understanding. a person can never have preliminary knowledge of kabbalah because it was only revealed in 1995 when people wanted real answers to real questions.
@meeeeeeee8 That's what society wants you to think. Religion teaches that "moral" is sacrificing what you've earned, to those that haven't.
"Man—every man—is an end in himself, not the means to the ends of others. He must exist for his own sake, neither sacrificing himself to others nor sacrificing others to himself. The pursuit of his own rational self-interest and of his own happiness is the highest moral purpose of his life."
@meeeeeeee8 No. What he means by bestowing to others is more complicated. He means bestowing to others for the sake of the benefit of the whole of humanity or "the Creator". He does NOT mean by fulfilling other people's EGOISTIC needs. :)
... how can you say that!? one grants that you are obsessivly self important, the other that everything is ultimatly and essentially untimportant. I see no link whatsoever. I dont even see how it could be compatible at all
There has to be a problem with those whom you are "bestowing" upon, they too will have to have "needs". You can't really "bestow" someone the spiritual pleasure of helping others. All you can "bestow" to others is the satisfaction of their lower desires. So basically you satisfy a higher desire by satisfying the lower desires of others. It is not really a good ideology.
That is to say, how can you "give" to others when no one needs anything anymore. How can you enjoy giving to others if there is no one left who needs to have anything given to them? This video is designed for selfish people who cannot contemplate cooperation, and aim towards lofty desires of being some form of "saviour" to all those miserable people around them (total ego boosting mentality focused around being "a higher being" or a "benevolant" being).
You see this video assumes that selfishness is at the core of the human psyche, but they are mistaken. Selfishness and desire for money and pleasure is a reality that is only true for certain, ahem, "types" of people.
Yeah, and about "enlightenment" - If you want pleasure and happiness then sometimes you might make the mistake of thinking that enlightenment has to do with these feelings. God does not serve petty desires for "happiness" and "pleasure" - he serves life and survival.
I don't care of if its Kabbala or not, though that's interesting, but the dude is basically right on. Egoic needs are, like he says, a whole dance of pleasure and pain that go on and on. And I think he's right, too, that the pleasure of serving others is a never-ending pleasure (as long as you still consider your own egoic needs well enough). The more simple your lifestyle, the easier that will be.
its not so much the acceptance of kabbalah, im talking about the puzzle piece of the collective whole, when the ego's desire to become the collective whole in other words 'nature' 'god' the desire is utilized corrected when the intention of filling that desire is for the whole of nature. no ones forcing you to believe in kabbalah, you believe in it to the extent that you desire to see unity so badly.
And about purpose. You seem to have adopted a belief that the sole purpose of everyone's life is exactly the purpose held by the writers of kabbala. And so you have chosen only YOUR purpose for life. Many people (I venture to say "most") move from one purpose to another. Some concede that to quell the hunger in their bellies is purpose enuf.
"you are confirming that this world was built for (certain purposes)."
Yeah, NO. And please don't infer a builder. It's so anthropomorphizing.
because when you recognize yourself as a piece to the puzzle you begin to care for all the over missing puzzle pieces around you :)
different purposes for our own lives? you are confirming that this world was built for mutual isolation, separation, suffering, and nothing but one question.
which came first, even if you knew the answer what would you do with it? nothing, because the answer to that is meaningless and you should be focusing on the one question humanity is running away from: "what is the purpose of life?"
Some people realize that the purpose of life is -wait for it- to find your purpose! Once someone is alive, it's their choice what is important. Problem is that you can't shake this idea that there's got to be a specific, all-encompassing purpose for living. What makes you believe this? The only thing the Kabbalah will tell you is what it's writers' purposes for life were. You decide whether that makes sense to you, justified or not. The real question is, why is their purpose 'more correct'?
your absolutely right! we all have different paths, different stories to tell, and at climax of these stories the characters are faced with one last question.
the thing is because of this question everyone is absolutely equal. like you implied there is no 'more correct' purpose, because there is only one purpose, and with it one question.
kabbalah has nothing to do with this world, because the answer to that one question we all have is already above this world. above our perception.
the whole world should watch this and we would grow as human beings. i cannot believe this video only has less than 15,000 views. i believe it is because the title is difficult to pass on to others. maybe change the title because no one wants to admit they are unsatisfied and that is why they watched it.
@FieldsofYaru . Water is the paint for the canvas-the canvas is conscienceness and emotion is control of the brush to create our reality. Waves of intent travel in fractal vortexes 1.618 finding their vibrational match allowing the flow of manifestation
Well, 80% of our choices are of something we don't want, because we are afraid of the consequences! This happens on a big scale on a subconscious level!
so how do we get pleassure? teach me more.. how do I do it? how how how? I wanna learn to lose my "ego" and I wanna be spiritual and learn I hunger more knowledge!!! please make more videos!!! TEACH US!!! TEACH ME!! THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE TAUGHT ME. I still beleive in jesus and what he stood for because what he stood for I think realates to the meaning of all of this. BE GOOD peace
there is no harm in believing in jesus, or any prophets. Until it becomes a fight for blood lines or land, the messages jesus had were very ground breaking for that time period... just as martin luther king was ground breaking for us... if in 500 years people doubt that martin luther king truly existed, then your silly for not realizing the point of preserving his stories is for the lessons, not to search endlessly for the tie he wore when he gave the speech!
I picked a family that had broken down, had no money, no gas, saw that they looked more broke than I did...drove them home, they said thanks...uh...i did it not to feel that warm fuzzy feeling, I did it cause I did it...I did it cause i hope someone would do it for my family...even though they probably wouldn't based on your theories here...
Yeah... that's egoistically. You did it because you want someone to help your family when they are in need. And you expect: Hmmm... if I do good deeds maybe one day I will get something out of it. Perfect example for calculation.
i see a replacement for religion. finally, a reason of to live spiritually without any doubts.. everything is explained so clearly with a good reason & I see a cure/ solution to world peace...
This is why marriage dont work

Funny,I lack the need to pleasure myself,I only wish to make someone that I love feel pleasure.
The world does not give me satisfaction for the simple reason that it does not fit my needs or wishes.
But yeah, humans do have this uncontrolled need for MORE all the time, but I'm programmed to actually want LESS,which is kinda funny.
Also,If I'm hungry,I think of Fallen leafs...and that's that.
If I'm starving-I think of olives.
But eating only counts for survival, not for pleasure.

in other words "the first step on the spiritual ladder is already above" what your ego believes, and what it can not: pure eternal pleasure.

OTVIIIClear 3 years ago
your absolutely right! we all have different paths, different stories to tell, and at climax of these stories the characters are faced with one last question.
the thing is because of this question everyone is absolutely equal. like you implied there is no 'more correct' purpose, because there is only one purpose, and with it one question.
kabbalah has nothing to do with this world, because the answer to that one question we all have is already above this world. above our perception.

Never Be satisfyed?
What'd you call Enlightenment?
spannerchops 3 years ago
What do you call enlightenment? a fulfillment that last forever, in that case, the goal of kabbalah and the answer to the purpose of our lives.

I m often satisfied and I would like to think thats a good thing....

the whole world should watch this and we would grow as human beings. i cannot believe this video only has less than 15,000 views. i believe it is because the title is difficult to pass on to others. maybe change the title because no one wants to admit they are unsatisfied and that is why they watched it.

I picked a family that had broken down, had no money, no gas, saw that they looked more broke than I did...drove them home, they said thanks...uh...i did it not to feel that warm fuzzy feeling, I did it cause I did it...I did it cause i hope someone would do it for my family...even though they probably wouldn't based on your theories here...
iolml 4 years ago
Yeah... that's egoistically. You did it because you want someone to help your family when they are in need. And you expect: Hmmm... if I do good deeds maybe one day I will get something out of it. Perfect example for calculation.

I think these videos are not bad.
I mean i wouldn't say one should buy every word and take it for truth. Just a very good starting point, and good thoughts here.
The guy presents it well.
