@NesQuikSurprise Ya I've never played a Gibson before either but for some reason the pick ups seemed to fit the guitar, I was thinking of the usual EMGs Duncans DiMarzios but I got the Gibson 500T and 496R and they sound amazing with that guitar

@golem104 Ya they're not like EMGs Duncans or DiMarzios but I'll tell ya for being passive the 500T is hella hot, and the 496R sounds amazing for solos and cleans. I've had active pickups before and the more natural sounding passive pickups just seemed to fit the guitar. And think of how many metal players play Gibsons, SGs, Les Pauls, Explorers, and most of them have the stock pickups in the guitars, so they gotta be good for something!

@WIMartha I play an Epiphone, but by choice, and I'm not knocking your choice on gibson, but I honestly think Epiphone's new EpiActives are as hot as an EMG, not 81, but maybe a 60, and they also have a natural warmth and presence to them, and to me, they are damn good pups for about $70. I like the necks on Epis better too lol
