i effing love this tune, one of my favorites to sing and strum. But I got to be honest when they start this live i almost expect arlo to start singing. "There must be some kinda way out here, said the joker to the theif." 0:54
Wow--pro shot footage FINALLY of Comin into Los Angeles....thank you!! Do you have Arlos SOUNDSTAGE 1974 performance..he played Alice's restaurant on that show...never was rerun...Please post
This is really a great song. I never understood why it wasn't a bigger hit, or why someone hasn't remade it. THIS is the kind of stuff we should hear on the radio!
i'll twist one for you and me,wish you were here i dont mind sharing my kick ass bud.just came across a strain of the old gold bud,it has been years since ive seen it.now they are so tech happy the gold bud now os twice as strong.but it still has that wild flavor.got lucky and got in on a harvest.only paid 225 a z.its worth about a 100 a 1/4.this fatty is for you.peace and lets get this shit leagalized some day in the name of god, amen.
I'll never foget the first time I shoved drugs up my ass getting ready to come into to LAX on Avianca from Bogota...three large balloons of yeyo...the ace was in the hole...and Arlo played on our Sony boom box while I squated on the cold bathroom tiles loading my cargo.
I was 19 in 1976. I was failing I took the advice of another famous man. I joined the Army. For me this was a good thing. Back then you joined the New All Volunteer "Peace" time Army or you went to prison. Couldn't join the air force cause I had smoked pot more than 4 times. Today I would go to prison. Today I am wiser. Things have changed. I would take things to jury trial. Peace to you.
Iv'e seen Arlo in concert countless times and it's always such a treat. He's an amazing talent and his stories are riviting. Iff you haven't seen him, GO and take your kids too, they'll love it!!!!

@governorgilf Maybe some people have a problem with a song about drug smuggling or something...
meekrob 1 year ago
@governorgilf Good question. Probably Arlo doesn't play the game that record execs want him to play...

I think this was just before I saw Arlo touring with Pete Seeger, which was always a treat, in DC at Constitution Hall, I believe.
