I loved reading that book when it first came out. I went to read it again a while back and couldn't find it. I think I let someone borrow it and they never gave it back. That bastard. It had a hard cover and everything.

Inspiring, indeed! My first night in NYC was in Columbia's dorms. Then I started working as a bycicle taxi driver. My grandfather lived in the corner of 104th and B'way, and my love for harmonica started when I was about 8. I started playing in 98, but I've never gone as far... Your book on Harlem, blues, NYC, harmonica and street life will be great to read this season, and I just found it in Amazon. Thanks Adam! Greetings from Mexico!

Don't know why I waited so long to Google your CV, but I am envious that you have made a career out of something that you were so passionate about from before the age of 16. You're quite right. In 2001 or so, I exchanged emails with somebody who wanted to include several of Sterling's songs on a "northern soul" anthology. It came out in 2002, I believe.
