I graduated high school in the early '80s. The boys had fist fights, there were no guns, knives etc or a lot of drugs (except pot and shrooms). We even had a smoking designated smoking area and during high school dances, we were allowed to smoke in a designated area in the hallway. Now, kids are overprotected and I think that is why they rebel so much, just as we did. Sure we snuck a six pack in the park at night but that was about it.

I'm living in Poland, so i can't wish to live in 80 (80s and 90s are the time of changes in Europe, especially Central Eastern Europe). Even if I would live in USA, I couldn't wish to live in 80. Imagine, that there's no computers, TV isn't so greate and clothes are funny. Pretty scary!

it is so funny that teenagers today wish they could have experienced the 80s. i get letters everyday from teenagers asking me how the 80s was. what kids need to due is take this era in which they rule now and make the best of it. thats all we did is enjoy areselves and had fun. because someday 20 years from now it could be worse than now and you along with them kids will miss right now. just like we do the eighties. but yes we did have better movies and music back then. lol god bless
