I was taught three simple rules:

1. A hit with a 22 is worth two misses with a 44.

2. If you can't stop' em with your first five rounds, another nine won't matter much.

3. Revolvers never, ever jam!

Sooner or later, ALL 1911's, ACP's and Semi Auto's Jam. Once; during an emergency, I had not one but two autos jam on me... Never again!

if you can't pull a concealed weapon and fire an aimed shot in under 2 seconds in most cases you will not have a chance

Don't worry, I do not hunt either, I just bought that 30-30 because I liked it, which there is is nothing wrong with it.

I plan on buying some kind of 357 magnum of some kind, hopefully a Colt. But still have seven months. Even though you have to be 21 to buy a handgun, at least you do not have to be 21 to shoot a handgun.
