Although I was born in 1968, (years after Father Knows Best went off the air) I grew up on this show which played in afternoon reruns. I wish there was more of a market for these older shows now, but it seems that curse-free, sex-free television hardly exists anymore.

I met Elinor's mother many years ago waiting for a bus in Sherman Oaks. She was one sweet lady.
