Best thing about this, You can put huge HDD in PS3 your self. Hell i think they run you through it in the manual.

If I use the PS3 Remote when using PlayTV it always stuffs up my pre recorded programs and I have to delete them, sux so I just have to use the controller.

thinking about getting this in the UK, £35 here now!! however i've been a little concerned with recent reviews saying it no longer works after the update and people losing recordings, but hoping this won't be a problem if i buy it new, can you shed any light on this, what's your recent experience with it?

Nice review, i will probably get this soon (because i love whoring out my PS3 with entertainmeant) and i cant be bothered getting tivo or a set top box so this is my best alternative

though my only question is, can it record in-game play?

Actually the playtv can record two channels at the same time and also you can save your content to PS3 or external hard disk by setting a different location that Australia for your region however you will loss SBS.

PlayTV dual recording function can be used by windows media center, however in order to this you have to hack it which is easy. Google playtv used on PC for more information.

This is just the same as Sky + in the U.K. It would be very nice to have it with a PS3 if you didn't have it and its pretty cheap if its the same thing as Sky +. Very nice invention. Hope it takes off, Sky + is a cool little thing when watching football (soccer) and you want to see a replay of a tackle of shot etc
