WOW!!! That is one incredible dog you have!! I too have an incredible golden named Angel. When I had a stroke a few years ago, she just automatically became an assistance dog. If I drop something like the remote, she would pick it up. When I would go up or down stairs she would be right by my side!!! Dogs in general amaze me!!

i also had one golden, but just passed away..i'm so sad, why only lived with me 6 years? golden retriever is very clever, active, an funny....i want to have another golden, but my parents stop me.. T___T
firefighter my ass....you are missing the point! the title is not literal, the dog makes an effort of getting the raft thing for his other doggie mate...you must see that!
That is amazing, my yellow lab did something the other day, one of our pups ran out of the house and was heading straight into the street and our Lab Iggy, went and rounded him up! It was amazing and Iggy kept him from possibly getting hurt, just out of instinct I think. It was amazing, just like your video. Thank you for sharing it.
Well, they were. Some passed away and the surviving ones I had to leave behind with my ex-gf when I moved back to New York.:( But yes, at one point I had six dogs and 5 cats.:) (I do still have 3 of the cats, though.)
That's an incredible video you've captured! I know you're thrilled to have gotten it on tape. I'm going to send this link to every single friend I've got. I love when Beija looks over to the Dalmatian and sees the situation right at the beginning. Absolutely fantastic!
Okay, I've got one more question. How did the Dalmatian swim with that ball in her mouth? Doesn't she have a black ball in her mouth? I loved it that she's so obsessive she did that without letting go of the ball.
Yeah, there's a ball in her mouth--red actually, but it's hard to see the color.:) You know, I just watched this again while reading your comment and that Beija did that still absolutely amazes me.:)
Btw, I composed the music for this, too. I'm not really a musician--I just dabble in composition, as I do in animation.:)
That's incredibly impressive! It suggest the golden has some capacity to understand an external consciousness, the desire of another dog, and the compassion to assist the other in achieving that desire. The dalmation doesn't appear to give any vocal communication to the golden. Wow! That's really amazing.
She's a great dog and absolutely LOVES the water. On the first warm day she would somehow get over the deck gate and hop in the pool all on her own--sometimes even before the pool was cleaned for summer use (ICK!). :)
amazing! golden retriver are amazing i used to have one but she died! :( she used to surf with me on my longboard she loved it :)
