  • Damn that's alot of sugar.

  • Cleans your Kidneys, thus is good against Water Retention, makes you sleep, good for Insomnia, clears the Liver, good for Memory, boosts the Brain, has Acetyl-choline which is a brain-type Alcohol

Drinking it every day in addition to being a Vegetarian/Vegan, would be the road to ultimate health.

I use Xylitol "sugar" as of late, it bypasses Insulin.

HAWTHORNE Berries powder + Leaves with Flowers, is a Gift from the GODS.

I would call that the #1 Herbal in our natural alternative medicine chest.

  • Awesome video.

  • Rick can you do a close up of the leaves as other vids on yt show they are different to the ones i could see in this vid.

  • that was brilliant, thank you very much. I am hoping to make blackberry syrup that can be diluted and drank. Do i need to add preservatives ?

  • On the plate, what you're testing if it has the right viscosity in order to be jam. (Just a helpful hint!!)

  • Dont you think making a syrup in kind of counter productive to say the least as the hawthorn berries lower blood sugar levels and over 1kg of sugar is alot.

  • @treverbettis Syrup or jam? The syrup doesnt have any sugar in it - the jam - you only consume small quantities at a time

  • @rickvanman u cleary said sugar 1.95kg on 7,00 mins mark

  • Rick, Ate many of these when I lived in South Wales. By the way, they are good for your heart.

  • Rick do you live on a farm?

  • I am going to buy of those instruments you used when you removed the skin from the apple. That is very effective.

And great video, you should do more of these.

  • I got one of those spikes in my knee for 3 months. I didn't no what was wrong with my leg till I had it operated on. There was literally half a pint of pus in my knee.

  • @300warrior300 eeeewwww!

  • Rick, awesome video! Easy recipe for the yummy jam :) greetings from Poland

  • @pawel134679 thanks! greets from the UK :o)

  • Hi Rick. A quick question... I have an iPad and have your RickVanMan channel and your RicksDiary channel both as subscriptions. Don't know if you have any idea why but the Ricks Diary one will not work. It did originally but has now stopped. I've removed and re-added with no success. Don't suspect there's anything in the settings at your end that can be changed?

  • @minus321 sorry, haven't a clue. but if anyone can advise me about any related settings, I'm listening.

  • Excellent video Rick! Very well made and very informative!

  • @j3pfilms thanks Jack :o)

  • Should have pinched some corn while you were there ! But then again it's probably monsanto's finest.

  • @EndTheMatrix That's exactly what we thought - it could have been cattle feed - just no wat to tell these days.

  • @rickvanman I've not seen them spraying it here but who knows.

  • I didn't know you could eat the leaves.

  • @EndTheMatrix indeed - they're not very nice at the moment, but will keep you alive.

    It's nicknamed "Bread & Cheese".

  • I'll have to check if I have Hawthorn berries growing in my area of the country. Jams can be tricky as it's a chemical reaction between pectin, acids, and heat. Get one wrong and you get either syrup of taffy. Yours looks wonderful. I found this video to be very relaxing. :)

  • @FenderGibsonWashburn Thanks Paul. Yes Jam making is a bit of a balancing act, and the reducing can take a bit of time, but seeing the end result is always very satisfying.

  • lol you used the same mefford as i did to make the jam with the plate .... i made wild plum jam =]

lol well easy and really tasty.

i didnt need to use a cloth thing to drain the wild plum jam mix .... woop woop

great vid m8 .... i wish i done this for me kinda vid when i was making my wild plum jam :-)

  • You can eat those things? We used to just throw them at people/each other :o

I remember they tasted pretty gross if they got you in the mouth!

  • Great job! That was very informative; I love it.

  • that apple peeler looks so cool LOL!
