@Knightmares100 CFX is CrossfireX, which is AMD's version of SLI. Basically it is just have 2 or more GPUs in your system. Some games scale better with performance with CFX than others and there are always some games that don't really have any CFX scaling at all (Skyrim is one of them)

AMD Partners know that, and are preparing multiple HD7970 card with a non-reference cooling systems and increased clocks.

AMD has not confirmed if new Radeon HD 7970 is being prepared.

According to Fudzilla, AMD may already be working on updated PCB for new Radeon. As we learned this week, Kepler will not be released until second quarter. AMD may have a chance to boost their sales by releasing even better Radeon HD 7970 when Kepler will be officially available.

Peaceman I sold both my ati graphic card 1 ati 5970 oc and 2 ati 6870 so now I'm on gtx 9400 I know it's old but what should I get new ati 7970 or upcoming nvidia witch1 is the faster and price of gtx 680 and I know that 680 will be 2gb. And they fixing all ati 7970 officially it's not out I know you can find them on newegg etc. so people don't buy ati 7970 for now wait for new1 bc it's coming and they all going to be over clocked to 1000mhz with good Collins you can get this card to 1200mhz so

@landy1337 really? how come? Drivers, temps, etc? Actually now I'm thinking to buy 2x 6950s revisions and flash them to 6970s. Costs like $560 on Newegg. To me this is maybe a great value buy at the moment.

@delatroy some games it doesn't scale at all so you are basically getting the same performance as you would be with a single card... eventually they will bring out a driver and most the time it will give like 30-40% scaling. I had great crossfire experiences on battlefield 3 but SWTOR and skyrim have been a joke so far. Drivers might improve since all the big releases have stopped for awhile and they can focus but we will see i guess.

that's because SWTOR and Skyrim run at well over 60 fps even on a 6950.. even on a 6850. even on a 5970. possibly even a 4890.

the only time skyrim or swtor will lag you is when your CPU is bottlenecking your performance. with skyrim, it's the shadows. with swtor, well, I don't know what the bottleneck for swtor is, but it's not a fucking $500 graphics card, it's your god damn CPU.

@Al3xi22 interesting. this would be my first 2 card setup. I agree with you. SLI / crossfire is not preferable to 1 GPU because software can't use multi cores that well. Something to consider :)
