HHH today could not touch the HHH back then. The Rock was a heel but they were forced to make him a baby face because he was so popular...HHH did get the reaction from the crowd he was supposed to...lots of boos because he was the Heel-lots of boos meant he was doing his job right. When Austin was out the feud between the Rock and HHH was amazing. The Great one v HHH provided us with some great action, Backlash 2000 was simply fantastic and the Rock winning made it even better

@yellabonej24 Today HHH is not as good as he was. HHH back then was a massive heel and very good at it. His job was to make people boo, something he was very good at. HHH was on his way up before he married Steph. He can't touch the Rock who was cheered even when he was a heel, but to say HHH was never good is rubbish. I should imagine the other wrestlers talk about him because they are human and jealosuy is human nature. The Rock and Undertaker are my favs but HHH did his heel job well.

Allegedly, Michaels and HHH were hoping Bret would win the match and the belt so they could bury Dwayne, but Bret put Dwayne over.

I've said before if I wondered if HBK coming back in 02 was a reason for Rock going Hollywood. Now I don't think so but still they don't like each other at all.

Look back at there Matches When stone Cold couldn't really perform anymore. It was that Rock who put him over. Austin's last match in the WWE was with the Rock. Look at the end when Rock whispered in his ear. He said he told Stone Cold Thanks for passing him the Torch.

As Rocky Maiavia he was not popular but as the Rock he became very popular. I don't think it is a secret that HHH never got on with the Rock, and the Rock may never have forgiven HBK for his part in what happened to Bret. The Rock mentions Undertaker and Austin in glowing terms in his book. HHH and HBK get no real mention - sometimes silence tells its own story
