  • There are quite a few things that have made me sick in the beginning ,but it's mostly because it was too dry I think..Also, there are times that I've eaten something with too much fat and it made me sick...so I definitely don't think it's a myth. With the sugar I don't know if it makes me sick ,but I know not to test it because if it doesn't I would probably go overboard.

  • maybe if you plan ahead with good snacks in your car you could stop the bad food and your not crazy but your concern so thats good..rosemary

  • Thank you, I do carry high protein snacks...but like I said- when I wait to long to eat, I am bad! Posting this video and having to answer to my "support group" here on youtube has helped tremendously! I have made some great plans and new rules for myself. I am very excited about the rest of the journey!

  • One or two I don't think would be bad but a handfull yes cause of the oils..rosemary

  • I think we will have to fight cravings...forever...so hang in there, and try to make healthier choices...

  • Thank you! I am glad ot to be alone!

  • hi darcy im going to come at it from another angle try getting you a rewards goal brag book for yourself. i have one and it has pictures of an outfit, fav vacation spot, new hair style and etc. etc. i havnt had sug yet but when i feel down i will pull this out and write in it.

  • Awesome idea! I have been known to cut out pics of clothes and hairstyles I would like when I am at a normal healthy weight! Love this idea! Thank you!

  • Keep your head up!

  • Listen, it's a rough road we choose. I have cravings too, I haven't acted on them ONLY because I'm fearful of returning to bad habits. Don't beat yourself up about, just make right now a new start. I keep sugar free popsicles on stock at all times, when I get an urge, I get one in my mouth QUICKLY! The food journal is really helping me maybe you could it. Just remember how strong and determined you are! You are looking great & I'll keep you in my thoughts.

  • Love SF popsicles! I will try that too! I was keeping a food journal for the first 3 weeks, but haven't written down a thing since going out of state...I will try it again when I get home. Thank you!

  • Im sorry to heare your having troble, but that is the thing they do surgery on the body but not the head were the fight is,but don't be to hard on yourself if your eating less of the bad stuff that's half the battle. And if you have faith in god pray for help, also go to a support group when you get home i think that will help you when you see other people having a hard time also, and how they are over coming there hard time. Good luck, and god bless. And remember your brain will click over soon.

  • Thank you! Support group is a good idea. I have defininitely been praying for strength!

  • and you will have wasted and took for granted the 6 - 9 month tool that RNY gave you. Take advantage of this tool, eat right and exercise, get the weigh off and do everything you can to make it happen in the 1st 6-9months... even if you reach goal, if you don't change your eating habits... chances are you are going to gain it back... not trying to be mean, trying to convince you to do the right thing and eat right! Good Luck on your journey! :)

  • Ouch! haha Yes, you're right! I have lost 28lbs in the first 4 weeks, following my surgery- I think I am doing well...making this confession sure made me feel ACCOUNTABLE though! I am so glad to hear people set me straight! Thank you for your comment! Good Luck to you too.

  • Hey, none of us is perfect! Try to plan ahead and keep a protein bar in your purse. Concentrate on healthy choices and when the craving gets bad, disract yourself...the pool is good! I was a carb addict prior to surgery. It's easier to avoid the "bad" carbs when you avoid any bad carbs..the more you eat them, the more you want them.

  • You are right, and that would be a rational conclusion...but someimes I am weak! Thank you for your comment, I will try to remind myself of the BIG GOAL..and stop the nonsense! Thank you!

  • I think we all get weak. Eating the wrong things can make the journey longer. Pls try to beat the bad cravings. I think you should think about the outcome and the fact that you want to be healthier.

  • Hang in there! I know it's hard and even harder to make smart choices, but you can get thru this. What helps me is to get away from the thing I want or get on the computer for some help and inspiration. I know thats not alot of help, but that's what I do for what its worth... hugs, jane

  • Great advice, today, I jumped in the pool just to stop from craving food! hahaha It worked! Can't go in the house when your wet..hee hee
