why try to compare them and decide which is better? in my opinion, there's no need. Michael was awesome. and i think JD is, too. it's not like they weren't happy with Michael and decided to replace him. I think Michael would be very happy with JD fronting the band now.

JD has his own unique voice, its strength and versatility of his voice is better exhibited on new INXS songs and in music to come, JD has a higher almost falsetto range that Michael either didn't have or used it rarely, JD can do a harder rock better IMO whereas Michael always had a more soulful tone to his voice, apples oranges, 'evs.
Hutchence was & still is the best.True JD isnt Hutchence,no INXS fan would want him to be.What I can say about JD is that he has a BIG stage presence 2nd only to Michael and every song he performs makes it his own.
