I traveled far to watch this race... Gordon Finished 39th, but this is a race you go to just for the race itself (If your guy has already won it several times.) It's a blast and I suggest EVERY NASCAR fan goes.

look you guys. i love NASCAR. but i don't seemk to get why you have to fight over F1 and NASCAR. they're 2 COMPLETELY DIFFERENT types of racing, just because one only drives in an oval doesn't mean they're skilless. both have their ups and downs, but they're 2 COMPLETELY FUCKING DIFF TYPES OF RACING! so how about all you trolls stfu and live your life

ok anyone else agree that SAFER barrier is a good idea, but it takes away track space and makes some walls jutt out....the loss of space and wider cars kill these races...go back to 5 wide plz

ya but it makes racin more excitin. if you watched the 2010 gatorade duels so many people hit the barrier jutting out and couldnt make a pass forcing them to have to have a good car to pass and it makes for closer three wide racing. i think they sould take the ristrictor plates off even though they widened them.

I hope this years Daytona is better. 2008 wasn't one of the better 500's, However, the Coke Zero (daytona july) race was awesome.

I also was a bit dissapointed with the 50th Daytona 500. Although the last few laps were pretty exciting. But yeah...nothing crazy.

Not like 2007. Now that was a 500. And i still think Mark won that race had it not been for that weird "slip" his car had.

My favourite driver Tony Stewart had a good car until after lap 15 or so. As the night progressed he got a lot better. He almost won his first Daytona 500 win until Newman,got the better draft at the end and got the win on the last turn. finished 3rd, what a piss off.
