  • amazing strenght and power of will

  • 2:44 whats wrong with his balls? :D

  • Bet I'd drown in the swimming part lol

  • HEROES right there !

  • Che gara meravigliosa l'ironman..

  • If you do this, you're not a superstar. You're a wrinkled, sweating shmuck who is sore for days.

  • @JeffersonDinedAlone

but not as stupid as you..thats sport not sitting at home like you

  • @JeffersonDinedAlone Haha! I do these races and afterwards I go for a few beers with mates. No soreness, unless maybe I missed a patch with sunblock and got a sunburn. No wrinkles beyond my age, I sweat when I train & race, but I won't sweat your BS chirp. Haha. Superstar status claimed. See you at an IronMan race!

  • I also saw some fins at 0;25. I may be a life guard

  • @kenan7q Your mind is so in the gutter.

  • Macca is a machine

  • doesn't seem right to swim with wet suits on. That makes it sooooooo much easier.

  • @dangzh24 There is nothing easy about swimming 2.4 miles in the ocean

  • @dangzh24 Give it a try. Make sure to have about a 1000 other swimmers around you. Very easy. And the wet suit is to blame.

  • @dangzh24 Those aren't wetsuits, those aren't legal at Kona. They're speedsuits. They don't add any buoyancy.

The ones with any colour in them are probably not even speedsuits, they're just tri suits or tri top and tri bottom they're swimming in.

  • triathlon - THE BEST !

  • real heroes..

  • i rly wana do an ironman now

  • who is that guy on the trek in full white?

  • @tennisstar523 chris lieto

  • @0:25 - Wearing fins at Ironman? That qualifies for DQ right?

  • @FishyTrogo I must be blind, I did not see anyone with fins. And I do believe it qualifies for a DQ.

  • every year 2500 people reach for the stars

  • geil

  • This video made me want to play more Warcraft. Weird huh?

  • @dbonomo123 probably cos it reminds u of how much of an unfit loser u r so it makes u wanna withdraw back into your virtual life.

  • This is the worst Ironman Video I've ever seen!!!

The music sucks, the cuts are unbelieveble crap, and the quality itself is horrible!!!

You're a superstar... Ha Ha Ha OMG!!!

    How stupid is this???

  • @DayOfSuffering he's redards??

  • why did they put in the clip of the guy playing with his wiener lol

  • @YourLoveLetter He is not doing that lol He is icing the large vain in his inner thigh to cool off.

  • im prepairing this year and have been using a drink called Citruaid recommended by Sheila Taormina, I ave had great results from this drink, better then anything i have tried in the past, let me know if anyone else shares a similar experience with this product as the tri season comes upon us!!

  • I have found my future in this picture, thanks!

  • 0:25 shark buffet

  • I was laying in bed all day - watched this vid and went for a run. Ironman 2012 here I come!!

  • Road bike or triathlon bike? need some opinions on what to buy.

  • @Moee93 triathlon bike! Way cooler and faster, but probably a little more danger since you can't reach your breakes immediately when something might happen... You could also buy a road bike and then buy triathlon handle bars, in that case you can't shift while driving on the bars. If your goal is to drive long miles with less traffic definately buy a triathlonbike, if your driving a lot in traffic and shorter distance buy a road bike...

  • @dries19891989

I have ordered a cervelo p2c now, can't wait to get it! :-D

  • @Moee93 Realy nice bike, how much did you pay for it? Remember, always drive safe, you don't want to get paralysed or anything :D. Good luck

  • @dries19891989

I paid 2099$ for a used, with some upgrades, much cheaper from ordering instead of buying here in norway ^^

  • @Moee93 Yes, i hear Norway is expensive

  • Ah mew, tah brincando q tinha um maluco com a camisa do São Paulo FC ali na torcida??! uahuahuah...

  • I prefer the Pussyman Triathlon; swim one pool lap, ride one block, run a hundred yards.

  • chrissie is just class personified.

  • We have a similar triathlon in Norway called Norseman :)

There they start of with a 3,8 km swim though water that averages at 15 ºC. Then they continue on bike over Hardangervidda to Geilo for 180 km, then on foot for 42,2 km (a full marathon) up the the mountain of Gaustatoppen, 1 850 m.a.s.l.. The event takes place at the same latitude as Anchorage, Alaska, with a total ascent of 5 000 meters, and the temperature ranges from 6 to 28 ºC.

  • david may - superstar

  • whats the name of the soundtrack?

  • 1:38 is Faris al Sultan, riding a Storck - remortgage your house if you want one :)

  • @Thorpedoification Actually at 1:38 that is Chris Lieto with the Trek Speed Concept. Faris is a little bit earlier. Either way, if he wants either of those bikes he will have to remortgage his house...

  • @barchetta575m Your quite right mucker, thought I'd cancelled my post before it was broadcast to the 300,000 viewers. Apologies on my part :)

  • in HD the movie wld be much more amazing ;)

  • Can anybody tell me what kind of bike the guy at 1:38 is using?

  • @TheRunningSource That is Chris Lieto at 1:38 and the bike he is using is the Speed Concept. During this race, however, he used a "Demo" version which was avaiable only to the Pros. The production version is just as good though, if not, even better with the added features.

  • I just started training for this. I can do the cycling just fine, but the other two are plaguing me.

  • It seems like one of the stupidest things you can do. It definitely does a person more harm than good doing such an event, I can't understand that kind of over competitive outlook of triathletes.

  • @splattyfish that's why you ain't an athlete

  • @SanderSpook If being an athlete means exercising so much that it is actually more damaging than beneficial then I hope I'm not an athlete.

  • @splattyfish If you train the right way, which is a challenge on its own for most people, the training regimen to do this event competitively WILL be more beneficial than damaging. Your nutrition needs to be well planned, balancing your work outs, recovery time, etc. Injury occurs when an individual does not follow a well planned work out. The human body is a marvelous piece of equipment that is capable of the most amazing feats, if well trained.

    JR - Sports Medicine student

  • this may seem a silly question by i'm really curious...what do the athletes do when they need to pee?

  • @goalie247247 they usually just go in their shorts. Of course they also have bathrooms on the side for those who won't do that.

  • 3:34 an happy girl :,)))

  • @Foufouvideos yeah I bet she liked the full body spandex!

  • chrisse wellington is the dogs bollocks.

  • I love 4:10, BEAST! :D

  • dude, whats the song? can you spill it.. sound good for running music.. =)

  • @jberdugo2001 - its called Superstar by David May - I love running to it too, make me think of this video :D

  • Did it last summer for the first time at 23. Best fucking experience of my life. Hurt but it was the type of hurt you work long and hard for and relish when i comes. Since then I'd say my heart went from a beat up ford to a ferrari I own my shorter runs now. Only thing is, you get so fucking addicted to these things once you start. I'm obsessed with Tri's in general. CAN'T STOP WON'T STOP but developed slight bursitis in my hip because of that lol but its not too bad. it took me a year to prepar

  • What if you need a pee?

  • @Natoyle93 For most people you can't drink enough water to get hydrated enough to urinate during most of the race.

  • @Natoyle93 Porta-potties haha.

  • awesomeness!

  • super !

  • Kailua - Kona, wait for me. I will finish and win you.

  • When I first saw videos of the Ironman, I always thought the numbers on the arms were tattoos representing in what place you came in in the Ironman. lol

  • Amazing video. Great work and thanks!

  • amazing...

  • Nice video from you Tim Rabe. Go!

THE NAME OF THE SONG IS SUPERSTAR RADIO EDIT BY DAVID MAY!

  • girl at 1:30 had an amazing handof :p

  • its easier said than done. Ironman is no joke and you do need to qualify like the other guy said in at least one half Ironman, limited spots and you have to be ready physically and mentally. Don't bite more than you can chew..

  • Im trying to get an ironman done next summer. Id just be 3 months shy of 18. Im already running marathons, swimming, and cycling. I contacted Ironman and they said that you have to be above 18. Are there any 'ultra length' tri's along the westcoast that I could do?

  • @lucasNaustin the Silverman in Nevada, takes place in November. ironman and half ironman distances.

  • @CAOP24 THANK YOU SO MUCH!

  • @lucasNaustin no prob, i might do it next year, im still 15 :P

  • start training this is the superbowl of triathlons, if you want to compete in here... there is no shortcuts, and you have to qualify for it, only 2000 openings for the whole planet....or get lucky with the draw.....

  • cool video, crappy song!

  • @kummelkuu this is an awesome song budd i downloaded it it matches the vid really well!

  • cool video, crappy song.

  • Truly inspirational! There is something extremely fascinating about Ironman. Feels like one of those things I just have to put down on my to-do-at-least-once-in-my-life list.

  • great job on this video! Best one of all the Ironman ones!!

  • I've watched this video dozens of times, but I am still amazed from the whole Ironman concept. I admire everyone who appears on the start line. I find Chris Lieto's sunglasses the best!

    Perfekt for motivation continoue like this -> H A W A I 2010.

  • i would love to be in this competition one day

  • @unknown4731 me too!!!!!!!!!

  • @unknown4731 your mind does, but your body may have different plans.

i would love to compete in it as well, but i need to train my ass off for about 2-3 years first.

  • @unknown4731 me too

  • pain, stress, mental pressure.... this event should be called 'Ironhead'

  • carlos duarte

  • Why is Lieto grabbing his balls all the time?

  • ITCH... LOL

  • I think it must have been an inflammation of the pubis...or something close to that

  • @floezi This happens when: 1-you genitals are not on the right place, that is why some competitors use 2 pieces web suites to have better access to that area in case the have to "re-arrange" the balls. 2- during biking is very common to have a inflamation exactly in the base of the genitals generated by bike seat pad or displace of the foam pad on the wet suit after get out the water and then ride the bike. I can tell you this by my own experience. Regards

  • @floezi He probably just put ice in his shorts. It's a trick for when you are overheating there is a large vein that runs threw that area. So you can hopefully keep running without heatstroke. Some people put ice under their hat also or hold ice in their hands.

  • OMG they are true ironman!!!

  • no shit

  • Cooling, well at least it appears to be cooling, they are given cold clothes at way points like putting a cool cloth over the back of your neck or wrists, just hitting another central point of blood flow for your extremities. I could be wrong have been before.

  • wait....whats he doing at 2:50 ? i cant tell

  • @iamdotties he is peeing into a sponge

  • i sat down and watched the whole race live, only missed an hour so i could bike. great times.

  • Ive been watching that video for the 12th time now! Just incredible! It is my personal long time goal, to finish there one day!

  • @KiwiFeiter then you shouldn't watch it too often but rather go out and start training... hang on and good luck :)

  • Think we all want a shot at the big island!!

  • and you will!!

  • whats the name of the song?

  • @videonaxo
