Lee's fascination with the Third Reich comes in full fruition.
With his constant comments and bashing on homosexuality and his love for tight shirts and going on shirtless, one wonders whether Lee has something to hide. ( heh heh )
One of Fear's best songs. I always wished it was on an album. They finally recorded it for the "American Beer" album and they pussied out by changing the title and the lyrics. Very un-Fear-like. Still a great song, though. And no, I don't hate Jews, and I DO hate Nazis.
@flesh86 No,this is the original version of the song."Mengele" is the title. It was changed to the less controversial "Surgery" when it was revised and recorded years later on the awful American Beer album. There was another great old Fear song called "Skinheads" which was redone on American Beer and given the stupid title "Beerheads".
yeah, first the joos start the horrible holocaust and - not satisfied w that - they've decided to start a horrible epidemice. Just what is it these heebs hv against the world?
FEAR was all about genuine shock, and really dark and dirty humor. Plus they were freakin' tight as hell. I think Lee has one of the great punk voices, right up there with Jello, Cal and Nick Blinko. Thanks for posting this. I saw it ages ago on public access in NYC.
FEAR is punk rock in every true aspect of the term. They weren't fashionable and they didn't try to please anyone, Lee Ving knew what he was doing and he's a a fucking legend and anyone who says otherwise doesn't know shit.
Funny thing about Fear is that they actually were really talented and technical. Though they're banter was always so crazy, they were more known for being offensive. Cool video Thanks!
thanks man, hilarious song, too bad the audio is even worse than the "new wave theatre" vhs used to be...strong tune, wish it had a studio recording, never found it even as a boot.
Thanks Kookadams, obviously not everyone bothers to look beyond the title...Still, as a Jew, I wish they hadn't used footage of the camps...It hurts to see it....
Lee Ving was a great fucking singer.

That is the dumbest thing I've read for a LONG while!
You comparing two very different styles of music!
That's like saying "Man! The Smashing Pumpkins are terrible live. I think The Grateful Dead does way better."
You just can't compare the two different styles of music.
