  • These song makes me fell sad

  • I'm dutch and i can tell you this the war and operation market garden, will always be remembered. It really lives here in Holland. Even amongst the younger generations we are keeping it real. nobody should forgot the courage of the men and women and the sacrifices they have made. and this soundtrack fits perfectly.

  • Arnhem used to be my favorite track from the Frontline OST, but this one has taken its place in my mind. It is so beautiful.

  • This game has more feelings than all of the new Battlefields Call of Dutys together

  • This reminds of that woman who silently went walking by you close to the end of the mission. She sees you, nods , and moves on.

  • "Hey Jimbo! Mind giving me a hand?....Wait...Wait!-Jimmy!-*shots fired*--AHHHggugghh...!"

     Rest in peace soldier... )-;

  • The music brings back so much feelings! I remember playing this game for hours as a little boy,and i just couldnt stop playing it cause it was so touching. The story, the music, the atmosphere, everything was so goddamn good!

  • the thing i like most about medalof honor was that it had one of the best soundtracks

  • I'm a dutchman.

seeing the germans just beat those old men and women on the countryside just broke my hearth while playing this...eerm i mean the nazi's hey?, the normal germans make great neighbours.

  • such nostalgia.. i miss getting stuck on this level cuz i was like 6 and i sucked at video games lol it took me so long to beat it that this soundtrack was well incrypted into my brain x3

  • That country side must have been extremely relaxing for the Germans, I wanted to join them in the camp fire.

  • This is so dam beautiful, for me Frontline was the best war game ever goingby storyline, gameplay, fun and of course - music.

no matter how good graphics will be today and in the future, the good old frontline will not be beaten.

  • @JSLegoMaster Fallout 3 eats, pukes and eats Medal of Honor again and again :D. But out of war-games this is extremely a very good one and beats CoD 6 - Present; no matter how good the games get. This game gave me a sense of violence and adrenaline that only games like Elder Scrolls and Fallout would usually give me.

  • You'l never find music like this in the newest war games, medal of honor frontline showed some real war music with a perfect fitting mood, love it!

  • @mathy906 Agreed completely; they should remake MoH frontline with new graphics; but same storyline :D; i would definitely buy it again.

  • @Joshisourfriend Don't forget the soundtrack, almost no games out there have something this hauntingly beautiful.

  • "All right, Jimmy, I'm going in!" Ballsiest NPC I've ever known. This game was crazy as hell but the music was absolutely stunning, captured the mood perfectly.

  • whenever i play moh frontline i love the port one because when it's loading the image that is showing is just beautiful and so delicate. this song helps me remember who died to give our country freedom, who gave this country back their faith, who gave their country their lives.

    R.I.P. R.I.P. R.I.P. R.I.P. R.I.P. R.I.P. R.I.P. R.I.P. R.I.P. R.I.P. thumbs up

  • i want this to be played to my funeral

  • Whenever I play this level, I pause to listen to this beautiful song. It brings me right to those lovely rolling hills of Holland, with the sun setting just over the treeline, as so amazingly recreated by the incredible people who made this game. Forgive me for ranting, but when I hear this I see myself, in a 101st uniform, looking at that very sunset. I want to just burst into tears!

  • this song is spine-chilling

  • The music always distracts me after a while in the levels and I get all teary..

  • @Obergfreighter warra phag

  • How can you send hatecomments while listening to this music? The father of my grandfather also served in the German army... He didn't like the war either.. he just wanted to go home but he couldn't... He served in the hell of Stalingrad while comrads and Russians died in front of him. Thinking to that whilelistening this music makes me cry :'(

  • The best, most emotional video game of all time, The music is listenable without the game, you can feel the message its trying to put accorss and you can feel the fear and depresison at the time. Never has a game made me feel like this

  • i cryed when i played the level

  • @TheShadicman Me too, one of the most epic and beautiful gamesettings/soundtrack ever created. Hearing this again after all those years just gives me goosebumps..

  • I can never more than bronze in rough landing :( every else mission gold but this...

  • @finskakiller you must go on the windmill near the 5th or 4th tank.

  • @DaggJoe I have, doesn't work

  • @DaggJoe got over 75 % health?

  • @gta439sam1 some asshole marked your comment as spam, my deepest thanks for the sacrifice your Grandfather gave to keep our world free of tyranny and evil. There is no higher honor to die in battle in the defense of ones country, you have every right to be proud of him.

  • I always played this when i was 10 still play it everyday, this level never gets boring i love it so much, wish i could live in this level thats all i'd want just to live in this level with this amazing soundtrack playing softly in the background...plus i get to kill nazis lol

  • I always felt sorry for the paratrooper who got killed whilst hanging from the windmill

*sniff* no matter how hard I tried I could never save him in time

  • @librev I feel your pain.. *sniffles aswell*

  • @librev Just one of many. This was a war that should never have been fought. I hope we never fight such a war again. The fate of the world really DID hang in the balance.

  • @librev I frigging shot at the Germans because he said "Hey, Jimbo, mind givin' me a hand?", but he died anyway.:( WHAT A STUPID LOW-LIFE QUITTER!! Where's Chuck Norris when you need him...

  • @librev I feel you man, I feel you...

  • @librev That always made me sad too :P

The funniest attempt to save someone has to be the paratrooper being interrogated on the second (I think?) level by the German Officer: No matter how quickly you get to him and kill the Officer, he spontaneously dies. Even if you shoot the horrid German before he can shoot him.

  • This your first drop patterson or is your aim always as bad as mine, we better see if anyone else is around, then we'll get you to town.

  • Barnes has reached Tank 3.

  • @cptping1234567

    Barnes has died.

    FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

  • y does everyone hate germans?? jeez their srry for wat they did and they regret wat they did. all u have to do is forgive them.....

  • @Booth789: Fuck off you bastard

  • this song makes want to build a house and start a farm in the dutch countryside

  • @mattyzpb74 lolwut

  • @mattyzpb74 lol oook

  • Lyrics to this, please?

  • Clipping Their Wings and the second part of Kleveburg use a variation on the main theme from this piece. The Songless Nightingale also seems to be loosely based on it.

  • yea i have a bunch of german freinds one of their grandfathers were in the war he helped out an american paratrooper out a tree

  • @queqqy fucking half of the us is german dumb fuck. that dont mean shit, im german, i love the us army, i dont mind the german army. i hate the SS. the SS are bastards and all of the ss troops are burning in hell.

  • @WW2medicfan Half of the US is German? Dude. Are you high?

  • @Booth789 Actually, most white Americans are of German ancestry.

  • @ChetzNation and british... Don't forget we colonised america...

  • @extondude Imperial British yes but not that many English.

  • @ChetzNation british is british

  • @extondude Irish WAS British. There are more Irish Americans than English Americans. For instance.

  • @ChetzNation I'm not talking about the english, im talking about the british, if it wasn't for us, you wouldn't be there

  • @extondude I'm not american...

  • @ChetzNation then why are we discussing this?

  • hey jimbo can i get some help here!?!?!

the dad of my grandma was in france when it was attacked by the allied forces.

  • this song will be played when chuck norris dies but nobody will ever hear it because he will never die

  • @Fernando7626 Your Grandfather was brainwashed by an evil fucker dont follow his believes! and @jesse1996beusekamp God bless you, it seems you and i are the only guys that understand the true horror of the second world war. and the music does make it seem more powerfull, makes me think of my great grandad who died in that war!

  • @gta439sam1 Was he SS? Do you know? Your message to your great grandfather is touching, sweet, and I salute him for his service. I like to think that the troops of his unit may have liberated my Jewish ancestors from the concentration camps (I lost 50 family members...trust me, I know this pain). But...the German regular army fought for their nation, however twisted the government. The SS troops were pure evil...but the Wermarcht? Were they ALL that different from another regular army?

  • @jakzine540 Im So sorry about your family members,To all of them and to every single Jewish person who lost there lives during the Holocaust May they Rest in Peace :) I Dont know if he was SS il have to ask my Nanna she has all of his War Documents. The German people were Brainwashed by Adolf Hitler so i know where your coming from :) Thank you very much for commenting God Bless you.

  • @gta439sam1 OOHH GOOD LORD DON'T ASK HER THAT!!!! SS was the Nazi SchtzullStaffen...the SS. The REALLY BAD NAZIS who were Hitler's fanatical supporters. I was asking if you knew if Fernando's Grandfather was SS...which Fernando claims that he was...

Yes, I've always believed that Germany never really MEANT to be monsters...they just believed a Monster's words and did as he commanded blindly. Hitler and his SS and higher up cronies knew the evil of their deeds...they did it for power...

  • @jakzine540 oh Noo he was part of the English Royal Forces i thought that the SS were some like group the allies were in. And i dont know if Fernandos Grandfather was part of the SS. im only 14 and i would like to study the second world war more because i get confused with some nazi words :)

  • @gta439sam1 In the beginning Hitler wasn´t powerful. He was a regular Man, just like you and me (in fact he was a real madman and we arent like that (i hope)). He was the President of the NSDAP which stands for "NationalSozialistische Deutsche ArbeiterPartei" which means "nationalsocialistic german workerparty".

Nobody really likes to choose this group, BUT he had the SA (Sturmabteilung) and the SS (Schutzstaffel) and they wanted to "help the population to choose the party".

  • @CactusSaft My dad often told me about my grandfather. he fought for germany, but he didnt killed anyone.

he was a good man. he was taken in prison by the russians. he died in the 70´s. and i was born in 1996, just like you. I never learned him know, nor my brothers did. in fact, i know nothing about him. i dont know how he was, i dont know "does he likes me?" i hope that Karl Wilde liked me.

  • @CactusSaft I Didnt know my Great Grandad either, Sydney Harold Died while driving a tank and he went over a land mine. I Bet he loves you as any othr grandad does. Your grandad was a brave man and fought for his country. God bless him and you :)

  • you have lots of respect for the men who thought for this country same here

    God be with them

  • @elliotoliver123 God bless you aswell as them! :)

  • @gta439sam1 Hey I didn't know my great grandad too, Private Ernie pearson was captured by the japs in burma and worked on the death railway.

  • @gta439sam1 Then he became powerful and 6 years later many people died. Honor the innocent fallen people

  • @gta439sam1 ...It's a sobering subject, my friend. But a worthy one, that will surprise and educate you for the rest of your life. There are so many different sides and points to it, and is one of THE most influential periods of Mankind's History. I suggest you start out with your home country's involvement, and work from there. You'll learn so much. Read from all sides of the story. There was great good and evil on every nation's part. Maybe not the Nazis...but still. Read all about it. Learn.

  • Such a beautiful song... I wish I knew what the lyrics are... Anyone have a translation?

  • @Fernando7626 ...If you are to be believed, your grandfather, a true SS man, was quite an evil man. I am a Eastern Jewish descendant. 50 of my family members died in Nazi Concentration camps for their religious beliefs, thanks to your dear grandfather's SS. Do you have an answer for that? The SS and their Nazi commanders killed 12 million people in around 10 years. 6 million Jews, and then 6 million handicapped, Gypsys, Romanovs, communists, non-Aryans (spell that shit right) and others.

  • I have only one thing to say to this: WOW

  • this game deserve a 19/20 just for musics , i never founed the ambiance of this game excepted in the max payne ps2 games

  • @comissairevanloc Dude, I'm 100 percent with you there. This game, and Max Payne, so ambient, so good.

  • I still play this game in fact my ps2 with this game inside it is next to my ps3 and i play this level whenever i get tired of cod. This level has made my day for years and it is missing absolutly nothing.

  • Funny, someone from england used "yank" as an insult. Sorry to tell you but only the people who get offended at anything are affected by that term. Also, dont judge a nation on a single man's insanity and stupidity, every nation has dumbasses that no one likes (england too).

  • I think the 2 dislikes came from people who like wars

  • This song sums up the hopelessness of war. So beautiful-MOH:Frontline had an epic soundtrack. Thanks for this vid.

  • Corporal Barnes: "This one's mine."

*Barnes runs to plant explosive on the Panzer's ass*

*Panzer aims turret at Corporal Barnes*

    *BOOM!*

*The shell hits Barnes' head and explodes*

Corporal Barnes: "I'm hit!...But I'm ok for now."

    Me: *Laughing to tears* xD

This is a fantastic level, and the atmosphere was brilliantly authentic...Until Barnes went and ruined it for me, hehe.

  • @theobserver20 I was trying to find a way around the fence when he was shot. I was just like, DUDE! WHAT THE HELL!

  • HEY! JIMMY! You wanna help dow- wait, I hear something in the distance.

  • MoH Frontline is the only game i know to describe the hardships of war, the terror of occupation, etc. MoH Frontline is the best WW2 game

  • Beutiful soundtrack!

    Schönes Lied!

    from Deutschland

  • As depressing and sad this level was, it was by far the best :")

  • @H3avyM3talDud3 yes it was

  • Powerful tune, RIP

  • God bless you Private S.H. Clarke U.K. Army The Duke of Cornwalls Light Infantry Division, You Sacrifised your life for Peace and freedom. Thank You R.I.P Sincerly Your Great Grandson

  • @gta439sam1 It warms my heart to see comments such as this, Its a welcome change from the normal hate and cruelty you find here on youtube, maybe with such compassion as your's there is still hope out there for humaity. Let us never forget those who perished in those dark years. R.I.P to all who fell to ensure our freedom.

  • @extondude :) i agree with you, to much hate is on this site! God Bless you! :)

  • @gta439sam1 You too my friend

  • i think this is probably the best song MOH ever made :) so calm and relaxing

As is every system there is. Guess what? The rich and powerful always rule. It's just in a democracy like ours, the poor get a voice, too.

They're both competent politicians, why should I mind? Were their names supposed to scare me or something? You really need to work on not assuming I agree with you.

The rich do pay higher taxes, so there's yet another statement of yours that is objectively wrong.

Uh huh, a spoiled college kid coming from a working class family.

  • Comment removed

  • @melonhead82

The poor here don't have to drink water with shit in it, don't have to put up with genocidal militias, and can get free food just for being poor. Many have luxuries unheard of in the Third World. So yes, they're being treated well.

Yet when we don't intervene, people like you whine about how we're ignoring the outside world.

Thank you for confirming my belief. Those who say they don't care about money say so because they've always had it.

  • Comment removed

  • @melonhead82

A trailer? People in the Third World would kill for that. You do know how poor the Third World is, right? Or do you think they're just brown people who don't deserve roofs?

Which is why the US has possibly the least powerful politicians in the world. Socialism, meanwhile, puts more power in the hands of the powerful.

So you just admitted that someone told you how to think, and you follow it? Christ, you're making this easy.

  • Comment removed

  • @melonhead82

Living in a trailer park is likely the dream of anyone who has lived, worked in, or even thought about the Third World, at all. Only rich elitists like you think they're bad.

Much more than you're doing. You can't even get your positions to not contradict.

Socialism takes away power from the people. No, says the Socialist, you can't choose your health care, only the government can. There's nothing out and out wrong with it, but it's not for everyone.

  • You lot are pathetic. All of you.

  • @melonhead82

You are afraid, you couldn't even answer that charge. You had to whimper "that's different" and hope I wouldn't notice. Guess what? I did.

  • Comment removed

  • @melonhead82

I demolished all your original points. You just keep repeating them in a vain attempt to trick me, and when I hit you with a particularly apt point, you start spouting gibberish and refuse to explain it. That's the definition of wimpering.

I've never once denied the horror of the atomic bomb. That would be you denying the horror of everything else WWII related.

I'll stop thinking you're a troll, when you apologise for being an ass and never comment here again.

  • Comment removed

  • @melonhead82

See, "wat what" points you were whimpering about is when I said you should give up your computer to a child molester, just like you think the US should have given oil to Japan so they could conquer the pacific rim. Hey, who cares who gets hurt, because all you care about it making the US look bad.

As for the Atom Bomb, it saved many American, Japanese, and Soviets lives, but you seem to think the real answer is your own nationalistic wankery. "Surrender to the UK", that's rich.

  • Comment removed

  • @melonhead82

So, you admit simply not giving our resources away for free to a belligerent nation isn't evil? Way to shoot your own argument in the foot; no wonder you were too afraid to respond.

So now the atomic bombing of Japan (dropped by Japan, no less) killed every single person on the planet? I love this; I only have to listen to you talk and you spout bullshit.

And this may come as a surprise to you, but everyone in the world does not immediately like the UK.

  • Comment removed

  • @melonhead82

A quick check to Wikipedia reveals the oil shipments were stopped to Japan. Stop making shit up.

You got flustered and said that Japan dropped the bomb on itself, because you're clearly not used to actually debating your points, and keep losing any sort of sense.

Seeing how you arbitrary pointed out that Jews made the Atomic Bomb, it's safe to assume you blame them for it. Way to go, anti-semite.

And Japan now admires the US as a nation. That didn't stop them.

  • Comment removed

  • @melonhead82

    1. You spent several posts avoiding explaining what "That's different" means.

    2. You said it, because you didn't check what you wrote.

    3. The Atom Bomb was made by a group of scientists. The fact that they were Jews is incidental.

They have based their entire culture around us. They learn English as well as Japanese in school. Anime is based on Donald Duck cartoons. They always ask us before doing any military venture. Simply having their navy trained by the UK isn't.

  • Comment removed

  • @melonhead82

    1. This coming from a man who can't figure out what i keep repeating.

    2. So? You expect sympathy from me?

    3. Or you could have just said they were scientists. Mentioning them suggests you think it's a Zionist conspiracy.

Anime was created by Osamu Tezuka. I don't care for Anime, but even I know that. He openly says how it's based on Donald Duck.

If you're talking about the Japanese Empire, you should get your friend to stop acting like there isn't a difference.

  • Comment removed

  • @melonhead82

    1. I'm repeating because you're repeating, you twit. Your trolling attempts fail, I can see through them.

    2. Then don't bring it up. I don't give a fuck how you feel.

    3. And there's no such thing as people who vaguely mention Jews as being evil, just Anti-semites.

Look up Osamu Tezuka, first sentence of "Works", on Wikipedia

Which must be why you two don't see it, because "upir" too bigoted.

  • Comment removed

  • @melonhead82

You're a troll because you come to a nice song like this and bring up bullshit that doesn't make sense, and insult everyone not you. I keep repeating Nanking because it answers most of your ideas.

    2. Obviously you do care how I feel, since you keep trying to change my mind, instead of giving up like you almost did.

    3. People who say there's no evil are just ones who've never encountered it. Or just apply it differently.

  • Comment removed

  • @melonhead82

You said how America should be held for war crimes, which is a slam on all Americans, and thus a flame. I recognize the mark of a troll, and you're it, dude.

I'm not bothered. I love smacking trolls, it's one of my favorite hobbies.

Everyone, at any point, has good intentions. To think otherwise is very childish.
