@serenityangel in ur religion although we were also once part of it, the gods are immitated by actors but have u seen guru gobind Singh ji's replica on stage. There was baba ram Rabin who immitated him and we set the whole Punjab on fire and if I could have personally known u I would have assasinated u . U insulted my guru.for having multiple wives. Your religion is less of heroes because u have no religion. A hindu or even Indian Muslim could never have spoken like that
This is for serenity angel the Sikhs are basically warriors . Head is the most important region so in those earlier days the great guru made it compulsory to have long hair and made them together in the form of turban so swords could not slay them. And believe me he was a genius . I am talking about the tenth guru whose mother u insulted and polygamy was common Krishna had 16100 wife's according to ur Gita . Our guru had the elements in him that he could be called the best. May god not curse u
this video is not true......... really the tale present by rajshri is fake pl re move this video and pl: stop make fun of karna........karna is the real hero of Mahabharata.......
he knew in this war he's gonna die and that is what all he wanted. couse he didnt want to kill his brother so he paid debt by giving his own life. noone could beat karna but arjun killed him when he was disarmed. i'm not saying that arjun was cowrd but if u see you'll find out karna was the greatest archer and better than arjun.
this is not true...b4 karna's chariot sinks, arjun's bow string or bow will break..and arjun will ask karna to stop saying he is disarmed so wait till i regain another weapon..but karna in the heat of battle won't...and in the mahabharat there wasn't a single phrase saying theat b4 karna tried 2 get his chariot out,he was weak or his bow string was loose...but he did forget the astra incantations due to the curse...but arjun didnt stop now due to revenge
Karna was the best and greatest and better archer than arjun.......arjun couldn't beat him ever but karna was fighting with two curses and charioteer was breaking his moral and he knew arjun is his brother so he didn't use the divine weapons and he couldn't use bhramhastra becouse of curse he forgot the mantra of bhramhastra. few days be4 the war began, indra begd and took away his holy and powerful kavach n kundal.karna was great danveer.

but incase of arjun he couldn't say anything but he jst said if arjun dies i'll servive and if i die then arjun will servive. even with standing all these problms arjun got the lease of life by karna in that war.but truth was that he all knew that in this war he is standing with losing side but he had to fight against his own brothers bcouse he was indebted to duryodhan.

In Guru Granth Guru Nanak Dev has called Ram and Hari as his God and has praised him and Bhai Bala whp wrote his biography has confirmed that Guru Nnak considered Lord Rama as his God or savior. so if a motherfucker like you don't believe it then you're going against your own fucking religion. People even called him mad just like you all Sardars are. That shows that both YOU and YOUR RELIGION IS UTTER RUBBISH AND FALSE. SUCH A SINNER YOU'RE
Guru Gobind Singh married thrice because his wives couldn't produce a male offspring. His mother who you people consider as Shaheed, Gujri, she made her son married thrice because of the same reason. How cheap!!! Guru Nanak Dev used to take lessons from Baba Ganj Baksh, a Muslim.
@singhjess I've heard Guru Nanak was gay too and he liked men with long hair. Listen asshole Gurus were Hindus only and they later converted themselves even then they used to worship Hindu Gods.
hindu gods are repeatedly insulted in Guru Granth Sahib - so because jesus was born to jews , so that makes him a jew - and your grammar is really poor - write in proper english next time
@singhjess Insulted? seriously? Sikhism is the only religion in the world without proper foundation. I wouldn't call it a religion I would call it a cult. Just because some people fought for their land and didn't cut their hair doesn't mean they'll form A NEW RELIGION.
@singhjess Sikhism wasn't even supposed to be a religion. At the time of the Gurus, most North Indian families would remain "Hindu" while the eldest son was a "Sikh."Hindus enlisted their eldest sons in the Khalsa was done for protection against the Mughals. Even the cremation method in both the religion is same. Ik Omkar is derived from Om or Aum which means Nirankara in Hinduism. I now know that you're an ignorant fool
@singhjess who has no knowledge whatsoever about anything but is just here to post some stupid comments on any Hindu videos he find. Go and learn something stupid fool.
yeah hindus are the high iq ppl - feeding milk to idols when children are malnourished, vulgar scriptures, worshipping penis, drinking cow piss, castist discrimination etc etc.
And with all the hindu iq india reamins a shitty filthy hell hole.
@singhjess Your Sardars are filthy ass holes who are exploiting this country and you people are so stupid that you don't cut your hair thinking it will disgrace your religion.
cutting hair makes u lose precious vitamins and minerals , and people do it just for vanity ,aint that a little shallow - btw why do so many spiritual hindus have uncut hair ?
@harpreetrandhawa85 Umm , according to science (Proven) , Hair's don't carry any vitamins or minerals , or are associated with the part of your body. They're just like nails. Dead. Even when you cut them , you ain't hurt , unless you pluck them , that is.
Maybe you have heard the word called "Saints"?
They don't really believe in trimming their hairs or stuff. SO there you go.
you are a shining example of what typical hindus are like - instead of rebutting my points - "feeding milk to idols when children are malnourished, vulgar scriptures, worshipping penis, drinking cow piss, castist discrimination "
all you have to offer is vulgaraties , thats wat vedas ,puranas and upnishdas teach u .
@singhjess Not really , There's no where "Worshiping Penis , or drinking cow piss" Well for the casting discrimination , It was because of some superior individual's point of views. Well it ain't there anymore , is it? For Feeding idols with milk , I'm pretty sure it's only done in special occasions , which're probably ONCE A YEAR?
Please don't say anything like that , unless you have sufficient information.
Have a nice day :)
Om namah Sihvaye & Waheguru Ji ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji ki fateh!
May be you can change your fake name "salim ali". Many idol-worshippers are searching fo alternatives in lie and may you are not one of them but my effort is to reach out all those who want to shun the fake gods and embrace and submit to the will of One Supreme Power Allah. May Allah guide us all to the true path.
wtf why is krishna blaming karna for everything...it was duryodhana who did all that...karna was just duryodhana's friend..and that too only cos duryodhana was the only one who ever showed Karna some respect, everyone else just admonished him as a charioteer;s son, even though he is secretly the pandavas; elder brother, kunti's 1st son from the Sun God Surya whom she had abandoned as a child...if any character in mahabharata is worthy of getting some empathy its karna..dude had to suffer a lot
@Prometheus61086 Fucking Muslim you know nothing about Mahabharat so shut the fuck up you Camel urine drinker. Secondly I've explained everything clearly. You're a fucking terrorist and no body wants to convert into a religion of faggots and terrorists.
abbe fuck u gandu, m a hindu brahmin and an indian...bhosadike b happy u said this online...if u had said it in person i wouldve cracked your skull in
and i've been reading mahabharata stories since i was a kid, from amar chitra katha to chopra mahabharata serial and i've read the original geeta in sanskrit as well...so fuck off u bloody troll
Geeze... Christian jerks mooching around Hindu channels, throwing insults? Nice. I've just discovered that there even are videos like this (obvious that there should be, but it never occurred to me to look). Who cares if you believe it or not? Learn about it, enjoy the story; it's fascinating.
@JCLeSinge Some of the Hindu myths do pack a real moral message like this one. This is a morality play about religious hypocrisy that is, predictably, lost on most Christians, Jews and Muslims. Even as an atheist I can appreciate the ethical point being made.
@TheNewRenaissance: You get that it's Krishna driving Arjuna's chariot, right? Don't know if Hindus would see that as a point about religious hypocrisy; peaceful Krishna urging Arjuna to kill. Notice that, after being pwned in religious debate, a "spiritual light" rises from Karna's body. Who was right? Karna or Krishna? It's difficult (particularly from a Western perspective) to see how a religious text could assert even obliquely that the divine agent was wrong; fascinating angle to take.
@JCLeSinge@JCLeSinge For your kind information Lord Krishna was not "urging" Arjuna to kill his own cousins. Lord has said in Bhagvad Geeta that when you're in the battlefield, then you should only act as warriors. Kaurvas were wrong by trapping the Pandavas and winning their whole kingdom. They sent them into exile.
@TheSerenityangel: I was referring not only to the scene here, but also to the protracted debate in the Bhagavhad Gita where Krishna convinces Arjuna at length to give up pacifism and join the fight.
So while I see your point about warrriors on the battlefield acting only as warriors, it should be born in mind that Arjuna *wasn't* a warrior when Krishna made that case to him.
@JCLeSinge For your kind information Arjuna was a born warrior. He was the son of the great king Pandu. He was such a peerless archer that he is often referred to as Jishnu - the undefeatable. The Pandavas were deceived by their own brothers and were sent into exile. Now as for why Lord Krishna insisted him to fight. Paap(sin) has to be ended or destructed by the Lord in any ways. Jesus was crucified, remember? and the flood mentioned in Bible.
Yes, I'm aware of that; the point was that he'd become a pacifist and initially refused to join the war. So to my mind, it's something of a contradiction that Krishna then convinces him to fight.
Re Sin: I reject the validity of the concept, certainly in so far as it's described in Christianity. Same with the Crucifixion; I'm baffled at the moral blindness that holds human sacrifice to be spiritual or "pleasing to God".
@JCLeSinge Human sacrifice can never be pleasing to God. Jesus was not a human. He is one of the Prophets according to Islam and according to Christianity he is the son of God.
@TheSerenityangel: If a prophet, then Jesus was indeed human, whereas Christians hold that God became fully human in Jesus, so from that perspective...
Leaving aside that Jesus was born as a baby, grew up and lived a human life in every regard until the three years preceding his crucifixion, it's still essentially saying "All humans are evil, but you're off the hook because a good person was tortured to death rather than you." That makes no sense whatsoever, and should be morally repugnant.
@JCLeSinge I am sorry to say but this is a very stupid question/statement,
"Notice that, after being pwned in religious debate, a "spiritual light" rises from Karna's body. Who was right? Karna or Krishna?...."
How can you even ask a question like this? Remember, you're talking about an epic, you can't reach its soul by watching this 4 min video. Ignorance is bliss for some people. Coming back your question, No one was wrong, neither Krishna nor Karna because they were all doing their Karam.
@TheSerenityangel Karna, even though he was a brother of Pandavas but still he fought from Kaurav's side because he was loyal to his friend Duryodhana who supported him in the times of trouble. Therefore, when he died a spiritual light rouse from his body because he died as a loyal friend and warrior. His Karam was more important to him than anything else.
@TheSerenityangel: You're assuming that I know nothing at all about Indian mythology, and therefore that anything I might say or think is inevitably wrong. Bit of snobbery on your part; why do you think I'm watching it in the first place, except that I have a prior interest?
Krishna has a go at Karna regarding religion, but Karna is still portrayed as a spiritual being. This is an interesting philosophical question, even if I addressed it in a flippant way.
@JCLeSinge Mahabharat an allegory in which the battlefield is the soul and Arjuna, man's higher impulses struggling against evil. Swami Vivekananda also said that the first discourse in the Gita related to war can be taken allegorically. , this Kurukshetra War is only an allegory. When we sum up its esoteric significance, it means the war which is constantly going on within man between the tendencies of good and evil.
@TheSerenityangel: Now that's an interesting take on it; I see what you're driving at. I don't know if you're actually giving me enough credit to understand the esoteric approach, or if you're not fully aware of the very different way that Christians & Muslims approach things; e.g. Moderates try to balance allegory with literal interpretations, fundamentalists go for strict literalism; to think of it as pure allegory doesn't automatically occur to someone used to the monotheistic approach.
@TheSerenityangel Mahabharata if at all happened was all about power and war and lust nothing about sacrifice. Please do not mislead people as an agent of demogods. May God guide you on the true path of Islam.
@WakeUpCall1000 Lord Krishna married all those women to save their life as they were captured by the demon. He helped them and married them. He was not like your Prophet who married for sexual purposes and then forbidden others to have sexual intercourse. How hypocrite.
@WakeUpCall1000 And you terrorists? What are you people? You are killing thousands of people and you're so fucking ignorant and arrogant that you bash other religions. I guess that's what your religion teaches you to insult others?
But we're not like you because our religion doesn't teach us to insult others. So we wont comment on your religion. That's the difference between you and us.
@TheSerenityangel - Read Bhagavata Purana to know what Krishna was. It's mentioned he had 16100 consorts.. above all he was just a human being (sex hungry at that) and not god - who died the death just like other human beings. You elect and venerate biggest terrorists like Modi/Shah, calling an entire Muslim population terrorists is an insult to your own intelligence (if any).
@WakeUpCall1000 And who was Mohammad? he had so many wives and married girls of such small age. Lord Krishna saved those women from a Rakshas and he had to marry them to save their social existence. I remember in Quan it is written to that you can marry any widow or helpless woman, right fucking terrorist?
@TheSerenityangel And how did Mohammad died? You people have terrorized the whole world. Muslims are treated like shit in USA and European countries. They burned Quran on 9/11. You fucking people import drugs from Afghanistan and then act like true Muslim who drink and take drugs. Fucking hypocrites. All the world hates you people and that's why Americans refused to built mosque. Shame on you.
@TheSerenityangel: Mohammad died of a heart attack while boffing his favourite concubine =)
And "they" didn't burn Quran's on 9/11; one mad preacher planned to do it, a few people took up the idea, but most people were horrified; as far as I know, the planned event didn't actually happen.
There's also a strong lobby for tolerance of Islam in the West, which I think is misguided in so far as it assumes compatible moral values (such as free speech and tolerance), that Islam doesn't actually hold.
@TheSerenityangel: Cool your jets, mate; I happen to agree with you on this point, but that level of hostility only makes you look just as rabidly fundamentalist as the people you're arguing against.
Is that anger rooted in cultural tensions between India and Pakistan? I ask genuinely, I'm curious; we don't really hear about that over here.
You've also highlighted for me the wide difference between Indian and Monotheistic esoteric thought, which I'm not sure you're fully aware of.
@JCLeSinge It's only mentioned in the Quran, an eye for an eye. The root cause of this tension lies in Pakistan. These people have been making derogatory comments about my religion almost everywhere on youtube. I thought Islam was a peaceful religion but my thoughts changed after 9/11 and the way Muslims treat people of other religion.
@TheSerenityangel: That makes sense; India was effectively caught in the wringer between two warring monotheistic empires, the British Empire and the Tipoo Sultan.
That kind of leads back to the point about differing perspectives; most people in the West aren't aware of the profound disconnect between Christian and Muslim attitudes. Case in point is attitudes to women, wherein moral values are almost directly reversed; what Christians call respect, Muslims find unconscionable, and vice versa.
@JCLeSinge Sanatana dharma aur Hinduism believes in one God - Nirankara. God in the form of light. He created Devis and Devatas from this light. If you think there's a wide difference between Indian and Monotheistic esoteric thought, that you think I am not fully aware of(DUH!!! like you know me for centuries) then you can go to hell.
@TheSerenityangel: Chill out, that was just my impression from what you said. Obviously there's a different perspective, I was just querying whether you understood what the other perspective actually is; it's become clear from talking to you that, while I'm not totally ignorant of Indian religion, some nuances of the perspective escape me until they're pointed out.
@TheSerenityangel : Prophet Mohammed led an exemplary life and perhaps no human being can come close to him. Despite being a powerful ruler he lived incredible austere life which has no parallels in the history of mankind. He did all lawful things whether it was marrying multiple women many of them were widows in need of support or marrying Ayesha Radiallahnha. He did not indulge in frivolous and illicit behaviour like Krishna - countless of girls he just used and threw away, never married them.
@WakeUpCall1000 And how did Mohammad died? You people have terrorized the whole world. Muslims are treated like shit in USA and European countries. They burned Quran on 9/11. You fucking people import drugs from Afghanistan and then act like true Muslim who drink and take drugs. Fucking hypocrites. All the world hates you people and that's why Americans refused to built mosque. Shame on you.
wakeupcall1000, you are wrong but you are forgiven for you are ignorant in your resolve and that is the element of being human. You would do well to search within your soul, for the truth you have always known.
Dear brothers, Krishna was a human and at the most (may be) a messenger of God, no more than that. So do not be ungrateful to the Lord of the Universes, the only One Supreme Power. May the Almighty give you courage and wisdom to understand the truth and May He shower you with His mercy and blessings!
@TheSerenityangel : Krishna follower: what more one can expect you to come up with! He had 16100 consorts, many of them gay men! A sex maniac human becomes your god! What an arrogance and ignorance!
@WakeUpCall1000 1610 consorts? I guess your mother is a bitch so you think everyone is the same. Abraham had that many wives too was he a sex maniac too? Prophet Mohammad had 3 wives. Fucking sex maniac. Gay men? lol are you a homophobic, did a guy raped you or something?
@TheSerenityangel if only he would -__- but do forgive him. Is quite clear that he is extremely ignorant and uneducated. He sounds like one of the extremests from the 9/11.
@TheSerenityangel lol.. I do hope that god helps him find something better to do with his time -__- because like a person who have somuch time to just sit at a computer and lambast other people about their religion, really needs a life =/ .. and its not like the first time he has done this. He goes to numerous hindu videos and post negative comments. May Baghwan bless him ...
Dear brothers and sisters, God is not in these idols, when would you understand when life is so short. Your Creator gave you brains to think and ponder and try understand that humans, cows, elephants are all God's creations and not gods unto themselves. Is it so difficult to understand? What is at stake for living an ungrateful life where you do not acknowledge and bow to your Creator and search Him in His creations and take partners with Him! May the Lord of the Universe help you and guide you.
@Juggernautishere Dear Blessed Soul, Please listen to Yatharth Geeta OR Bhagavad Gita, never has Bhagavad Gita been explained so clearly and in so much in depth. @Caesar88888 Nope that doesn't make any sense. There is nothing external, the Chapter 13 Shlok 1 of Bhagavad Geeta OR Yatharth Geeta states - Idam Shareeram Kaunteya, Kshetra Mitya Bhitiyate... That means that the Kshetra is not outside but within yourself. Please listen to yatharthgeeta at yatharthgeeta. com

Thank you, foryatharth..., I know you're right. But I think we don't need to fight it when we reach God, for duality is left behind. I'll listen to them, for I receive them from you as from Krishna himself. May he bless you and shine within you.
what is the difference between materialist and devotee of Krishna?
Well, evil is Krishna himself. Remember that he's Kala. And this is Kali yuga, and Kali is a negative manifestation of the Lord. But negative to whom? To us. For the Lord, is just a step to return to the age of Dharma.
And as you didn't answer my last post, but changed the subject, I must understand that you didn't find what to say. Krishna, is in the heart of the materialists too, as you accepted.
And Krishna says: "Everyone follows My path in all respects", so materialists, are obeying god's will and following his path. Evil?In God's path, in order to achieve good, you must go through evil. Read the Mahabharata. A good Devotee was Duryodhana was, and loved by Balarama, Ananta Seiya himself. And Dharma is also fighting for evil, as Karna did. It's moving. You'll see, that achieving good, is just the sweetest aspect of God but not the only aspect. Radhe, Radhe. Blessings!
I mean that we can't reject sin, because it's part of the path. But being good, we feel better. We believe in karma, but we say that someone is good if he gives some charity. Now, if you give money, karma gives it back and multiplied, so if you give charity, you're just getting richer. The only way to achieve God, is to live our lives from our souls, Melted in God, and doing everything for his sake. If you think of God, you are filled with him. If you give God, you receive God.
@Caesar88888 Krishn was a Sadguru and Arjun his disciple. What the shlok above means is that when you surrender yourself to the Guru to seek for the truth you will gain the truth/rewards based on your shradda. Please listen to yatharthgeeta at yatharthgeeta. com God Bless you!
Well, then, you state that in the heart of a materialist there is no Krishna. That's a statement that is denying a statement from the Gita. You must read it again. He's in the heart of a materialist too.
“I am the supersoul, O Arjuna, seated in the hearts of all living entities, I am the beginning, the middle, and the end of all beings” ( Bhagavad-Gita 10.20)
@Caesar88888 Dear Blessed Soul, Mahabharat is not what you and me think it to be. The war is within oneself, a fight between good and bad qualities. fight btween karna and arjun is not straight as u show us in video. karna was a great warrior he is killed by great shariantra(politics) by lord krishna. U were teaching wrong to childs dear. karan dir not abuse drowpatee. IT WAS FULL RUBBISH. U PEOPLE FIRST HAVE TO STUDY GRANTHAS THEN DIRECT THEM.
arjuna was not the greatest.. arjuna was only the best when it came to the bow and arrow.. the greatest warrior of his age was karna... too bad karna mixed with the wrong company though..
Actually you are wrong. Arjuna was the better overrall warrior than Karna. He defeated him twice in the same battle the day after his exile and Karna had to flee twice in pain. Arjuna completely dominated him(Virata Parva). In the same battle he also defeated Bhisma, Drona, Ashwatama, and Duryodhana and then took their clothes from them and they had to return home in their underwear. I'd say Arjuna is the best since he beat all these and many more. He is Nara and invincible
Arjuna was able to move Karna's chariot a few feet back, and Karna was able to move Arjuna's chariot back with Krishna on it. Didn't Krishna say that Karna was capable of moving the entire universe (since krishna = bhagwan in this scenario)?
Bitch ass Arjuna faggot, get the fuck out of here. Karna was the shit. PS - neither Karna and Arjuna were the best archers, it was Eklavya, Bhishma probably second/first.
@dilkashh Dear Blessed Soul, There is big misconception in understanding the Mahabharat, the war that took place is a reference to the state of mind when starts to meditate. The human body comprises of good qualities (Devi sampath) and bad qualities (Asuri sampath), the struggle to win over the bad qualities is what called as Mahabharat. You are right about Karna he was a powerful warrior but only a good/bad quality (Vikaar). to be contd...
@dilkashh ...contd but even the strongest bad qualities can be won by the blessings of a Sadguru (Krishn in this case). Thanks for the tip. I have read Mahabharata numerous times and it is very easy to understand for me. Also I have read the best version of the Gita. The Bhagavad Gita As It Is by Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada.
@Haladhara1 That's fine. But I don't think, your findings are over. It's a life long search going on for numerous births and rebirths till final accomplishment. Kindly go through this exposition if you are open to every where and let me know where this is getting ranked as per vision of your mind? And you are always welcome to discuss if any clarification is required upon text material of this proposed superb metaphysical exposition of Bhagavad Gita verses in the name of "Yatharth Geeta". GBY!
Dis is an absolute rubbish crap! Its absolutley wrng. Many people hav a misundrstandin dat Arjun was the most strongest archer and bheem was the most strongst physically. But its not true.Karna,Drona and bhishma were way better in skills then arjun.Karna was also strongr then bheem and he defeated him once.Karna had the qualities of all the pandavas in terms of looks, strength, archery and genourisity.
Actually you're wrong. Karna and Arjuna were pretty much equally skilled with arrows with the slight edge to Arjuna who had dharma on his side. Arjuna also had much respect for his teacher Drona and grandfather Bhisma and so it was difficult for him to see them as his enemy. I also don't know where you are getting the idea Karna was physically stronger than Bhima, this is way off. No one could match Bhima's physical prowess although Karna was a better archer.
@Haladhara1 Dear Blessed Soul, There is big misconception in understanding the Mahabharat, the war that took place is a reference to the state of mind when starts to meditate. Also you must realize that Bhisma, Drona and Karna were made so formidable by the will of Lord Krishna to make it seem as if the Pandavas were the underdogs. In reality the best in any field are those who are the most intimate devotees of Lord Krishna and Arjuna was Nara himself and was the most intimate devotee of all the warriors. He was made to look mortal to increase the interest of the plot.
When the Pandavas were in exile for 13 years for the last year they stayed with King Virata in disguise so as to not be recognized. Right after there period of exile was up Arjuna had a clash with Karna, Drona, Bhisma, Duryodhana and the Kaurava army and single handily defeated them all but let them escape with their life. He defeated Karna twice in this battle and defeated the rest also. Please read about this battle in the Virata Parva before you make more irresponsible statements.
Here is a passage from the Udyoga-Parva describing what I stated earlier: Bhisma turned to Dhritarashtra and said, "O king, even though Karna often boasts like this, he is not even equal to one-sixteenth of the Pandavas. Was not Karna present Arjuna defeated all of the Kurus and took away their clothes?" "Dhritarashtra, if you rely upon Karna's strength, then you are surely doomed!"
Kauravas vs. King Drupada for Drona's guru daksina:
But the mighty bowman Drupada was not affected and began killing the enemy with greater vigor. He challenged Duryodhana, Vikarna and KARNA, and sent them RUNNING from the battlefield. The arrows from the Panchala army began to rain upon the Kurus, breaking their ranks and causing them to flee for their very lives.
The Pandavas, seeing the fun, offered their obeisances to Drona and mounted their chariots etc. You know the result
Arjuna then told his brothers what Indra has said concerning the future war, "Indra instructed me, 'O son, all the celestial weapons of the devas are in your possession, so no man on earth will be your equal. When you are on the battlefield, the combined forces of Bhishma, Drona, Karna, Kripa, Shakuni and all others will not equal one sixteenth of your prowess.' And Lord Indra granted me this golden garland and this conchshell, Devadatta.
The son of the sun god stood there on his chariot and fought with the Gandharvas. The Gandharvas, desirous of killing Karna, surrounded his chariot and tried desperately to overcome him. Some killed his charioteer, and some killed his horses. Some destroyed his wheels, and others completely smashed his chariot. While his chariot was being thus attacked, Karna leaped down with sword and shield in hand. He mounted Vikarna's chariot and fled the battlefield to his eternal shame.
Therefore, he, who would fight with Arjuna, should take sleeping pills. You are like a fool that wants to enter blazing fire. You want to tie a stone around your neck and enter the deepest part of a river. Although he is undefeatable, still we should stand and array our troops in battle formation. Do not, out of foolishness, fight with Arjuna alone. If all six of the great warriors fight with him at one time, then maybe we can defeat him.
"O Karna," Kripacharya said, "your heart is crooked and always inclined to war. Do you not remember that Arjuna alone stopped the onslaught of the Gandharvas in the Dvaitavana forest while you ran from the battlefield. Do you not remember that Arjuna alone killed the Nivatakavachas which were incapable of being slain by the demigods. Even Indra himself is unfit to fight with Arjuna.
Arjuna covered Karna's chariot with thousands of arrows so that it could not be seen. However, Karna soon released himself from that network of arrows and sent forth a thunderous roar competing with the monkey on the banner of Arjuna's chariot. Karna then released a multitude of arrows that covered Arjuna's chariot. Highly annoyed, and drawing his bow back to his ear, Arjuna pierced Karna in every part of his body. Mangled by Arjuna's crescent shaped arrows, Karna FLED the battlefield.
@MrAyare It is clear that Karna was a better archer, and also Krishna was better, not to mention the little boy that lived in the forest and gave his thump as guru dakshina. Beema wasn't as strong as Duryodhana, and it is said in the Mahabharat at the duel between the two of them, at the end of the war.
@MrAyare Dear Blessed Soul, There is big misconception in understanding the Mahabharat, the war that took place is a reference to the state of mind when starts to meditate. The human body comprises of good qualities (Devi sampath) and bad qualities (Asuri sampath), the struggle to win over the bad qualities is what called as Mahabharat. You are right about Karna he was a powerful warrior but only a good/bad quality (Vikaar). to be contd...

Hate this video btw--it is so black and white--arjun, goood; karna, baaad!!! It's grayer than that. Pandavas had no job gambling away their wife especially when they had gambled themselves away, but that's an argument for another day. My verdict--naive (and crappy) interpretation!!!
I completely agree. Karn is one of my favourite characters, and I think he was one of the most disadvantaged as well. Karn was actually a pretty honourable warrior, as far as the warrior code went. He did follow his "kshatriya dharma" (as the wretched Manusmriti would say) a lot better than the Pandavas. At the very least, he did not use the kind of deceit and trickery the Pandavas did.
This is a very simplistic interpretation. I don't like it one bit.
And I didn't even get into how he was a man of his word, and an extremely loyal person (even if caught on the wrong side) whose generosity knew no match (in the context of the Mahabharata). This is coming from someone who has been infatuated with Arjun for ages, but having read the entire Mahabharat, I can now acknowledge that Karn in more ways than one was the greater warrior.

According to Dr Yadubamshi, during the period before the hymns of the Yajuveda had been composed but later than the Rig and Atharvavedic periods, a non-Aryan god was fused with God Rudra. This non-Aryan god, he adds, was worshiped by some tribes in the Himalayan valleys, including the Kiratis. (Shaivamata :The Shaiva Sect)
In this epic war, Kiratas took the side of kauravas and fought against Pandavas.

karna did not undress Draupadi. He was sticking up for his friend and called draupadi a "whore" because she had 5 men. (Karna had no gfs) When Draupadi spoke up and challenged everyone of Hastinapur... Karna whispered.. i was wrong about this one.. she's actually a very smart woman.

JCLeSinge 1 year ago
@JCLeSinge Some of the Hindu myths do pack a real moral message like this one. This is a morality play about religious hypocrisy that is, predictably, lost on most Christians, Jews and Muslims. Even as an atheist I can appreciate the ethical point being made.
TheNewRenaissance 1 year ago
@TheNewRenaissance: You get that it's Krishna driving Arjuna's chariot, right? Don't know if Hindus would see that as a point about religious hypocrisy; peaceful Krishna urging Arjuna to kill. Notice that, after being pwned in religious debate, a "spiritual light" rises from Karna's body. Who was right? Karna or Krishna? It's difficult (particularly from a Western perspective) to see how a religious text could assert even obliquely that the divine agent was wrong; fascinating angle to take.
JCLeSinge 1 year ago
@JCLeSinge @JCLeSinge For your kind information Lord Krishna was not "urging" Arjuna to kill his own cousins. Lord has said in Bhagvad Geeta that when you're in the battlefield, then you should only act as warriors. Kaurvas were wrong by trapping the Pandavas and winning their whole kingdom. They sent them into exile.
TheSerenityangel 1 year ago
@TheSerenityangel: I was referring not only to the scene here, but also to the protracted debate in the Bhagavhad Gita where Krishna convinces Arjuna at length to give up pacifism and join the fight.
So while I see your point about warrriors on the battlefield acting only as warriors, it should be born in mind that Arjuna *wasn't* a warrior when Krishna made that case to him.
JCLeSinge 1 year ago
@JCLeSinge For your kind information Arjuna was a born warrior. He was the son of the great king Pandu. He was such a peerless archer that he is often referred to as Jishnu - the undefeatable. The Pandavas were deceived by their own brothers and were sent into exile. Now as for why Lord Krishna insisted him to fight. Paap(sin) has to be ended or destructed by the Lord in any ways. Jesus was crucified, remember? and the flood mentioned in Bible.
TheSerenityangel 1 year ago
@TheSerenityangel: "Arjuna was a born warrior."
JCLeSinge 1 year ago
@JCLeSinge Human sacrifice can never be pleasing to God. Jesus was not a human. He is one of the Prophets according to Islam and according to Christianity he is the son of God.
TheSerenityangel 1 year ago
@TheSerenityangel: If a prophet, then Jesus was indeed human, whereas Christians hold that God became fully human in Jesus, so from that perspective...
Leaving aside that Jesus was born as a baby, grew up and lived a human life in every regard until the three years preceding his crucifixion, it's still essentially saying "All humans are evil, but you're off the hook because a good person was tortured to death rather than you." That makes no sense whatsoever, and should be morally repugnant.
JCLeSinge 1 year ago
@JCLeSinge I am sorry to say but this is a very stupid question/statement,
"Notice that, after being pwned in religious debate, a "spiritual light" rises from Karna's body. Who was right? Karna or Krishna?...."
How can you even ask a question like this? Remember, you're talking about an epic, you can't reach its soul by watching this 4 min video. Ignorance is bliss for some people. Coming back your question, No one was wrong, neither Krishna nor Karna because they were all doing their Karam.
TheSerenityangel 1 year ago
@TheSerenityangel Karna, even though he was a brother of Pandavas but still he fought from Kaurav's side because he was loyal to his friend Duryodhana who supported him in the times of trouble. Therefore, when he died a spiritual light rouse from his body because he died as a loyal friend and warrior. His Karam was more important to him than anything else.
TheSerenityangel 1 year ago
@TheSerenityangel: You're assuming that I know nothing at all about Indian mythology, and therefore that anything I might say or think is inevitably wrong. Bit of snobbery on your part; why do you think I'm watching it in the first place, except that I have a prior interest?
Krishna has a go at Karna regarding religion, but Karna is still portrayed as a spiritual being. This is an interesting philosophical question, even if I addressed it in a flippant way.
JCLeSinge 1 year ago
@JCLeSinge Mahabharat an allegory in which the battlefield is the soul and Arjuna, man's higher impulses struggling against evil. Swami Vivekananda also said that the first discourse in the Gita related to war can be taken allegorically. , this Kurukshetra War is only an allegory. When we sum up its esoteric significance, it means the war which is constantly going on within man between the tendencies of good and evil.
TheSerenityangel 1 year ago
@TheSerenityangel: Now that's an interesting take on it; I see what you're driving at. I don't know if you're actually giving me enough credit to understand the esoteric approach, or if you're not fully aware of the very different way that Christians & Muslims approach things; e.g. Moderates try to balance allegory with literal interpretations, fundamentalists go for strict literalism; to think of it as pure allegory doesn't automatically occur to someone used to the monotheistic approach.
JCLeSinge 1 year ago
@TheSerenityangel Mahabharata if at all happened was all about power and war and lust nothing about sacrifice. Please do not mislead people as an agent of demogods. May God guide you on the true path of Islam.

There's also a strong lobby for tolerance of Islam in the West, which I think is misguided in so far as it assumes compatible moral values (such as free speech and tolerance), that Islam doesn't actually hold.
JCLeSinge 1 year ago
@TheSerenityangel: Cool your jets, mate; I happen to agree with you on this point, but that level of hostility only makes you look just as rabidly fundamentalist as the people you're arguing against.
Is that anger rooted in cultural tensions between India and Pakistan? I ask genuinely, I'm curious; we don't really hear about that over here.
You've also highlighted for me the wide difference between Indian and Monotheistic esoteric thought, which I'm not sure you're fully aware of.
JCLeSinge 1 year ago
@JCLeSinge It's only mentioned in the Quran, an eye for an eye. The root cause of this tension lies in Pakistan. These people have been making derogatory comments about my religion almost everywhere on youtube. I thought Islam was a peaceful religion but my thoughts changed after 9/11 and the way Muslims treat people of other religion.
TheSerenityangel 1 year ago
@TheSerenityangel: That makes sense; India was effectively caught in the wringer between two warring monotheistic empires, the British Empire and the Tipoo Sultan.
That kind of leads back to the point about differing perspectives; most people in the West aren't aware of the profound disconnect between Christian and Muslim attitudes. Case in point is attitudes to women, wherein moral values are almost directly reversed; what Christians call respect, Muslims find unconscionable, and vice versa.
JCLeSinge 1 year ago
@JCLeSinge Sanatana dharma aur Hinduism believes in one God - Nirankara. God in the form of light. He created Devis and Devatas from this light. If you think there's a wide difference between Indian and Monotheistic esoteric thought, that you think I am not fully aware of(DUH!!! like you know me for centuries) then you can go to hell.
TheSerenityangel 1 year ago
@TheSerenityangel: Chill out, that was just my impression from what you said. Obviously there's a different perspective, I was just querying whether you understood what the other perspective actually is; it's become clear from talking to you that, while I'm not totally ignorant of Indian religion, some nuances of the perspective escape me until they're pointed out.
JCLeSinge 1 year ago
@TheSerenityangel : Prophet Mohammed led an exemplary life and perhaps no human being can come close to him. Despite being a powerful ruler he lived incredible austere life which has no parallels in the history of mankind. He did all lawful things whether it was marrying multiple women many of them were widows in need of support or marrying Ayesha Radiallahnha. He did not indulge in frivolous and illicit behaviour like Krishna - countless of girls he just used and threw away, never married them.

What is evil?
what is the difference between materialist and devotee of Krishna?
Well, evil is Krishna himself. Remember that he's Kala. And this is Kali yuga, and Kali is a negative manifestation of the Lord. But negative to whom? To us. For the Lord, is just a step to return to the age of Dharma.
And as you didn't answer my last post, but changed the subject, I must understand that you didn't find what to say. Krishna, is in the heart of the materialists too, as you accepted.

@Caesar88888
Blessings!
TangoVirtud 1 year ago
@TangoVirtud
>>in order to achieve good, you must go through evil
Do you mean that there is no need to reject sin?
Caesar88888 1 year ago
@Caesar88888
If you give God, you receive God.

what is the difference between materialist and devotee of Krishna?
Caesar88888 1 year ago
@TangoVirtud
I know, Krishna is the supersoul.
Devotees listen to the voice of supersoul, but demons ignore it.
Demons lack devotion.
Thats why they suffer and stay here until they restore their devotion.
Caesar88888 1 year ago
@TangoVirtud
Some demons like Hiranjakashipu and Hiranjaksha were sent to material world to participate in lilas of Krishna.
But most of other demons (materialists) are souls who want to become God.
Krishna doesn't want them to fall, but they do.
Because of their crazy stubbornness.

Haladhara1 1 year ago
Arjuna was able to move Karna's chariot a few feet back, and Karna was able to move Arjuna's chariot back with Krishna on it. Didn't Krishna say that Karna was capable of moving the entire universe (since krishna = bhagwan in this scenario)?

@MrAyare
Pandavas FTW.

Pandavas forever. Duryodhana and Kali - never!

Haladhara1 1 year ago
@MrAyare

Haladhara1 1 year ago
@MrAyare
Haladhara1 1 year ago
@MrAyare
Haladhara1 1 year ago
@MrAyare
Haladhara1 1 year ago
@MrAyare It is clear that Karna was a better archer, and also Krishna was better, not to mention the little boy that lived in the forest and gave his thump as guru dakshina. Beema wasn't as strong as Duryodhana, and it is said in the Mahabharat at the duel between the two of them, at the end of the war.

Hate this video btw--it is so black and white--arjun, goood; karna, baaad!!! It's grayer than that. Pandavas had no job gambling away their wife especially when they had gambled themselves away, but that's an argument for another day. My verdict--naive (and crappy) interpretation!!!
2020abcd 2 years ago

@diliprai Dear Blessed Soul, There is a big misconception in understanding the Mahabharat, the war that took place is a reference to the state of mind when it starts to practice meditation. The human body comprises of good qualities (Devi sampath) and bad qualities (Asuri sampath), the struggle to win over the bad qualities is called as Mahabharat. You are right about the roles in mahabharat but they are either a good/bad quality (Vikaar). to be contd...

@diliprai ...contd but even the strongest bad quality can be won by the blessings of a Sadguru (Krishn in this case). Please listen to Yatharth Geeta, never has Bhagavad Gita been explained so clearly and in so much in depth. It is hence called 'Yatharthgeeta', you can download the mp3 of your choice of language from the website yatharthgeeta. com OR search for 'yatharthgeeta' right here on youtube OR go to youtube. com/user/foryatharthgeeta to get a quick preview. The flag that Ram shot down from Ravan chariot and Laksman shot shot down from from Indrajit in original Ramayana is similar to Kirat flag.
watch the video;
"sakela~the greatest festival of kirat people"
the flag is @0.15.
This festival onced banned by Nepal Hindu government was only officially recognized in 2001.

This video gives a very poor view and does not capture the right spirits of any of the characters....furthermore this can give a misconception of the mahabharatha....

karna did not undress Draupadi. He was sticking up for his friend and called draupadi a "whore" because she had 5 men. (Karna had no gfs) When Draupadi spoke up and challenged everyone of Hastinapur... Karna whispered.. i was wrong about this one.. she's actually a very smart woman.
Arjun got angry and replied, "How DARE YOu! I WON'T allow you to say anything good about my wife.. you can't cover up what you said about her before.. watch me kill you now"
