  • is already mine

  • I want one with a white body!

  • I'm a full fledge Gibson guy but I came really close to buying one of these about a year ago and I wish I had. It's a great guitar. Very comfortable and a plethera of tone settings.

  • I have on and love it deffinetly able to play anything

  • Fuck!! I want one!! Why I´m poor :( lol :)

  • @CannibalZombieKiller I feel just the same way!

  • reminds me of jim root's telecaster

  • @capturethelife just better. i hate emgs!

  • This may tempt me from the Fender camp... I have a Tele Deluxe, and I was wondering if there was a similar model with a coil-tap feature. What do you think: this plus a Peavey Bandit 112?

  • he even plays tie ur mother down!

  • after led zep he plays great white buffalo! to bad he didnt play it longer that song just has balls

  • what song at 1:16?

  • led is the best band ever :D

and i like black label too

  • Whats the difference between Schecter PT and Schectet PT Fastback?

  • this is the only 6-string that I would buy :D

  • Alesana use these :)

  • i just ordered one today but im kind of diapointed that it only comes in black

  • did ANYONE else notice they used a tom anderson headstock on this!?

  • what was the first song played? thats been driving me crazy

  • @MrCrowley1018 Funk 49 ;)

  • Song at 1:50?

  • @SeetherScream every ac/dc intro

  • @stupidnicks @SeetherScream nope, it's Won't Get Fooled Again by The Who;)

  • Still a single coil is needed on a tele no matter what.

for a humbuck smash i would use somtn else from schecter.

  • Because real fans watch in 240p!

  • oh my gosh. this video is making me seriously reconsider getting a schecter hellraiser.

  • 3:10 :D Tie your Mother Down by Queen yay!

  • hey guyz. can i put a bigsby b5 on it cuz i reli it n i want a bigsby

    plz help

  • @sha5aneef they have one with a bigsby... look up the Schecter Pete Dee Signature PT! it's gloss white with a rosewood neck, and i believe it has a mini humbucker and a humbucker

  • @TylerHierTV

oops you already beat me to it! I just recommended the same guitar! haha thumbs up..

  • I'm a lefty and love the Fender Jim Root but since they don't make one to accommodate me would this thing shred some metal if I dropped in some EMG's?

  • @Inverted314 Different body woods- this is Alder, which will be trebley, spanky or twangy, as apposed to the thicker, warmer Mahogany.

  • @Inverted314 They'll be tonally different but you can still get the metal "Djent" from alder

  • this or the jim root telecaster? the fender comes with lcoking tuners and a harcase...

  • I Want This Guitar!!!!

  • fender tele is the one

  • would this guitar be good for some heavy metal or hard rock tone ???

  • @smeadows26 You bet, it shreds like hell.

  • @smeadows26 Shaun Morgan from Seether uses one, and his tone is epic.

  • @RossWildish His new Signature Guitar fcuking rocks!!

  • @smeadows26 Well.. its designed for pete thownshend who plays, classic rock/ old school punk rock/ blues...so i gues not.

  • I generally don't like telecaster guitars, but this one is sick.

  • Scotty, I can tell you don't really care much for this guitar...lol

  • love the part where he starts playing heartbreaker... anyone have this guitar? anyone know if its any good? i have a strat but im returning it pretty soon. the 60 cycle hum is annoying, it has TERRIBLE sustain, and overall it just sounds thin. i want something with more tone and more balls.... any ideas?

  • @ffguru15 i have had this guitar for a while and i have no complaints. the sustain is surprisingly really good good for a bolt on neck, the tone is great, and the overall playability is amazing. this is definitely a guitar i would recommend

  • I want the PT fastback it sounds awesome and the tonal variation sounds great... I really like the coil splitting, it makes the guitar really versatile

  • This is amazing...and funk #49 sound's great too...

  • DAMN! i want all schecters ! they are perfect and cheap.!

  • @morfoo well, you can get a good guitar for a low price and there are cheaper useable guitars on the market, but so far I haven't found one that does come even close to my PT. It even beats my epiphone Les Paul, and that's a limited edition handmade custom shop guitar which was twice as expensive.

  • I'm really digging this guitar. I hope they bring a 7 string version out. Hopefully ith a mahogany body, a different nut and a different bridge.

  • But the newer version is even more versatile, with 2 volume 2 tones with coil tapping. Duncan Designed HB-102/FG-101 pickups. Am i correct that this is the newer one ?

  • This or a C-1 Standard ?

  • It sounds so half-jazz half metal, I f***in love it. Gotta get the bass version.

  • The major downside of this guitar is the positioning of the pickup selector switch. You have to remain totally focused on just how far your picking hand strays, otherwise you've hit the switch in a second.

This would have been just perfect if the switch had been placed above the pickups instead of below.

  • What is a coil splitter? Like I heard the different noise but still don't get it

  • @itsallgood239 it temporarily changes the said pickup into a single coil for a brighter sound.

  • @itsallgood239 it splits the humbuckers into a single coil setup. the wiring goes from parallel to series or sumth like that

  • That last tone was just Humbucker Bogan heaven!

  • I shouldn't of watched this video.

    Do want. Badly.

  • what's the intro tune? I hear Phil X play it all the time.

  • @mikeymop38 the intro tune is funk 49 by the james gang

  • ordered one yesterday. hopefully be here in a day or so

  • sick guitar..... nice review from scotty..... loved it

  • wow loving that sound

  • definately one of the best guitar reviews ive seen

  • Great Fucking Guitar :P

  • Heartbreaker :)

  • WOOO! Love Funk 49, classic song.

  • Is this any good for some metal? i know its good for rock cuz shaun morgan from seether uses a pt but i need a metal guitar.

  • @MErickson11

If you want to play songs by Seether, then yes,it is perfect.

    And the guitar is awesome.

  • whats the first song?

  • What is the song at 3:00?

  • @StarHill02 Tie Your Mother by Queen :)

  • anyone know if its good in drop B?..

  • This may have been asked elsewhere and answered....are there any pedals in front of the amp or are you direct?

  • @DeiterJason

The amp is mic'ed, look at the right side of the cab when the video starts.

  • Very nice demo, I would buy a guitar from you!

  • That sounds sick!!

  • I have this guitar and i love it! its universal instrument. great for country , blues, punk... but PT plugged in higain amp ist hardrock/metal machinegun.

  • Proguitarshop has got it figured out. Finally a guitarist with some range that isn't in a Fender or gibson video. I fucking loathe repeatedly running into some 19 year old with a hard on for distortion saturating that shit so much you could feasibly hook up a Rock Band plastic guitar next to a Les Paul with P's in it and not tell the fucking difference. Subbed and 5 stars automatically for having brains.

  • which would somebody prefer over the other maple or alder guitar body

  • what song starts on 2:26?

  • Proud Mary from Creedence Clearwater Revival (originally by Tina Turner, for the record)

  • @ToneChaser4Life negative, originally by CCR, covered years later by Tina Turner. In case you're wondering, she also didn't do the original version of "The Acid Queen." That was written by this guitar's namesake. XD

  • whats the neck like. Im looking for something with a neck like a les paul so whats this like

  • @rocknrolla12992

The neck is very comfortable, but not even close to a Les Paul due to the longer scale. It is more like a Telecaster neck, but thinner and slightly wider.

  • help me on this one please,

I'm getting a guitar, and i'm willing to spend a maximum of 2500-3000 euro's on this (lats say it's 3250 dollars), would you say like: no dude, don't go out and buy a les paul or fender strat/ tele or whatever, there are way cheaper guitars and they are as good as the big names,

or are names like gibson/fender/... really the best?

please help, this is an issue i could save a lot of cash with

    ty ..

  • Man, you gotta know there is NO best company. In my opinion, I think Schecter beats both by a long shot.

  • well dude... it really depends what kind of sound you're looking for. Schecter is a really nice guitar. And they are cheap compared to other brands. But there's also a reason why some people go for fender and gibson. They have a very characteristic sound, and you can get a lot of of classic and great tones from those guitars. So you can with other brands as well. I wouldn't go for Fender if you're looking for a metal guitar.

  • yeah i agree with punk9999 my favorite guitars are the old imported charvel model series (neck-thrus only though..).love schecters, fenders, some gibsons..

i say jackson U.S.A or custom shop if you want to spend a lot.

  • I just scored a vintage PT for $300...fucking amazing guitar. ^_^

  • the dude from seether uses this guitar!

    lol, that was bugging me

    :P

  • does anyone know what the song at 2:16 is?

  • heartbreaker by led zeppelin

  • @jfxnyp Great White Buffalo By Ted Nugent.

  • ahhhh! itsmy dream guitar look!

  • sweet they made a telecaster shape i love schecter

  • @metalheadneji i love it because i like the sound of a schecter but i love the feel of a tele, i own the Ultra III and a Squier Tele as my main guitars, its a battle for me to find which one to play. this may be the answer

  • whats he playing at the beginning i heard it before but i forgot?

  • He didn't have me sold until he starting playing what sounds like tie your mother down by queen at the end

  • This or fender tele deluxe reissue? hmm...

  • That depends on how much you want to spend on a guitar, the pt has some things going for it, a great tone, coil splitting option, a very good factory setup, a very comfortable neck which is slightly wider then the one on a tele and it sells for about half the amount you have to invest in a tele deluxe. The tele deluxe ain't bad either, since you have independent volume and tone for each pickup, but only 21 frets and the large 70ies headstock, which I personally hate to see on a telecaster.

  • schecter PT anyday, better tonal veriety, cheaper and plays better. played both trust me, schecters th way to go

  • Man, you make that PT sing. Nice demo!

  • is he using a pedal here? if so, what one is it?

  • holy shit scotty can chicken pick :)

  • What model Vox is that? Pedals?

  • I think it's a VOX AC30, great amp!

  • This video pretty much told me "You're going to buy this guitar".

    So I complied.

Now I'm just waiting for my new PT standard to get here.

  • @JacobKilledBatman

yeah me too. in 3 to 4 business days.

  • @JacobKilledBatman how do you like the guitar

  • Am I the only one who completely hates that headstock? It looks like something out of a Sears catalog...this isn't a reissue of the PT/Saturn, at all. C'mon Schecter.

  • No, I hate it too.

  • who ever says this cant do all styles of music is a fucking idiot, ive had this playing funk, blues, rock, hard rock, metal and death metal. i even had a set of 56's on it once and it sounded great

  • I have this guitar And I Put Seymour Duncan Black Outs in it and I regret doing so !! I may try Emgs But SD Mayhems are lookings pretty good !!

  • does the coil tap affect both pickups or just the neck pickup?

  • hahaha he plays funk #49 in the beginning haha

  • what's the difference between this and the pt fastback

  • the flash back has better pickups and looks cooler.

  • do any of you think it would be plausible or sensible to throw some emg's on it and play heavier music with it??

  • yeah , that could be cool , especially in 18V =D

  • of course

  • i would'nt see why not

  • this is probably my favorite guitar demo done by PGS and i love the bluesey/bluegrass riff at 2:40

  • i think this guitar used eddie vedder from pearl jam

  • What songs are you playing in this demo???

  • The last one is the main riff of "tie your mother down" by Queen.

  • I have the syn gaytes custom. i dont really like playing someone else's guitar, but it sounds amazing

  • hey im lookin at this guitar i really dont like the neck though... is it possible to put an tele neck or a strat neck on this? PLease Respond with anything.

  • why would you this neck is awesome on it own, you don;t need to replace it.

  • It might be possible. From what I know in my experience, a lot of necks would be easily interchangeable.

I looked up a little information, and played the PT, and found that the neck is really smooth, so it wouldn't be necessary, but yes, with slight modification, you could bolt a tele neck onto the Schecter PT

  • You could have a neck custom made if you wanted.

  • Can I make this thing play metal? Like a MetallicA and Slipknot sound.

  • put a hot pickup in the bridge, get a good and heavy distortion pedal and you are ready to make some noise.

  • You could check out the Jim Root Telecaster by Fender.

  • Yea man, that thing is made for metal.

  • Jims tele is made out of mahogany which already gives at a crazy think tone

  • Seether uses this guitar, and their guitar sound is pretty heavy, so yeah, you could play a lot of metal on this guitar.

  • where da hell is the guitar body,i just see the neck

  • Are you serious?

  • That is the fun of it, it doesn't have a body. You are just stumming strings suspended in air, and you signal gets transmitted to your amp AUTOMATICALLY. =O

  • lol your funny, or blind...

  • I started this video to check out the guitar, but now I think I may have to buy the amp!!! Wow, I didn't know an AC30 could sound like that 1:47

  • Is the guitar worth the price?

    $550

  • someone please answer my fucking question :)

  • yes, it's worth it - but that sweet amp has alot to do with the awesome tone as well.

  • Practically every schecter is worth it's price. They are very well built guitars, I know several people who have a Schecter and I never hear any bad stories about them. Schecters are great guitars for a reasonable price.

  • Well I guess that is my next guitar.

    Whenever that is haha.

  • yes any schecter is good for the price i own 5 including lower end models but mostly classic and blackjack series

  • Great Guitar Player

  • oh shit i love this guitar its too cool

  • just confirmed me buying this guitar not only is pete my fav guitarist but ive finally heard what a modern sound model sounds like

  • this guy almost sounds like gearmandude

  • Hey pretty guitar.

    Great guitar player

    Great video *****

  • What is a better way to start a review than the eagles, nice review

  • you mean Joe Walsh.

  • yeah funk 49 pfft eagles wut r u talkin about

  • @metal101freak Not Eagles, James Gang. Joe Walsh's group...Later he joined the Eagles.

  • shit O.0....I want that guitar!

  • This is completely different from the black shecter model Pete used.Totaly different headstock and pick ups.

  • this guys licks are kick ass

  • This sounds great.

  • great guitar and great tone, what's the price?

  • at guitar center, $550.

  • shit intro

  • that guy can make any guitar sound good

  • I LOVE the tone. I have a Vox ac-30, but it sounds like you're using pedals.. is that true??

  • how is the neck ???? like a baseball bat or thin like ibanez rg ?????????

  • like a base ball bad its really thick

  • i love baseball bat thick it makes it easyer for me to play

  • I think the neck is flatter and wider than a standard tele type neck.

  • @stevieVantanna

Yes it is, I own a humbucker equipped tele and a pt. The pt is definetely designed for more modern playing styles, the neck is very flat and the action very low, ideal for shredding

  • god you guys have the best freakin' demos!!!

  • I bought one of these recently, I recommend it to any guitar player. Fast action and great pickups!

  • I´m thinking about getting one... I don´t know what to do!
