  • ive owned both and neither are accurate shooting pistols,,,youll shoot 2-3 shots good, then one off the paper!!,,,its not the shooter either, its the gun,,,i know professionals that will tell you the same damn thing!!..i dont know why it is,thats just how they shoot,,i think its the long trigger pull myself,a lot to go wrong in that distance,,,i can shoot circles around my berettas with a glock or 1911,,,and for me again, its all in the trigger

  • @crambone34 it is the shooter not the gun

  • Beretta makes the most reliable handguns on the market. I personally own the m9 and love it. It is practically indestructible.

  • i hate beretta

  • 20dubXx is a faggot

  • so which is better?

  • They are the same color lol. That's a good comparison professor. Where were u educated? The institute of the painfully obvious?

  • I choose the 92 fs because I prefer a 3 dot sight system and the grip fits my hand slightly better.

  • Gives up faster? What do you mean by that? Breaks apart?

  • great vid i have only used the 92f but the video shows them both off very well i would take either!

  • what about prices?

  • The 92fs sight seemed a bit easier to aim with

  • @MrFaroeseguy In reality, the m9's 2 dot sight makes aiming quite easy in drills.

  • when you are under stress?

  • @caspertje5 you are kidding right? the answer is any and every fucking time you ever need to use your weapon against an attacker or in combat.

  • i like the m9 wayy better!!

  • That means that in call of duty modern warfare reflex the m9 is suposed to be the 92fs

  • You forgot to mention that the grip covers are fixed in place with slot-drive screws on the 92FS and with some kind of rivets with circular heads(?) on the M9.

  • Would you say the fs is better for people with smaller hands? Thank you.

  • any difference between the italian 92FS and the US made?

  • @dvrosario yeah the Italian version gives up faster!!

  • Video well done. Short, sweet and to the point!

  • my 92fs has a strait dust cover like your m9

i bought it new in 2000 it came with a steel guide rod

after shooting the cz75 i hate the ergos of the 92fs

fat grip high bore axis slide mounted safety

  • cool. straightforward and informational, thanks for the vid

  • @LAYITLOOSE I kinda doubt it.

  • I bought a M9 today at the Del Mar gunshow, paid $715 for it...I like the 92FS but nothing like a m9 with the straight dustcover.

  • @2ToNViLLaiN lol

  • Something about having an M9 vs a 92...I know they're similar, but still...something about having where it all started...

  • what gun shoots harder?, which gun has a higher fps, cause im looking for a pistol that shoots bbs really fast

  • @608864 Are you trolling, or are you seriously asking that question?

  • why are the lenghts diffent arnt they the same

  • possibly a dumb question but i was given a BlackHawk Tactical SERPA Holster from a marine mp. will the holster only fit the m9 or the m9 and 92. thanks

  • @OhioOutdoorAdventure they will both fit. i used my military issue holster for my civi model

  • are they for sale

  • how much does one of these cost in the US?

  • My understanding is also that one version has a steel guide rod and one has a polymer guide rod. That could be wrong and maybe was already discussed in the comments. Can you verify this?

  • Need more lighting.

  • ASSY? ahhaha lol just kidding

  • the only thing in the video you forgot to say is the m9 has a 15 round magazine.the 92fs has a 10 round mag.well actually its not always.the first models of the m92f was just a beretta 92 pistol with a 15 round magazine.now it usually has a 10 round mag.unless you buy your own 15 round mag

  • do they use the same mag?

  • @TheJman811 Yes.

  • very good video do you know if the military still issues these pistols to this day

  • @SuperMcMuffin100 Yes, the primary issue pistol of the US Military is the M9 which replaced the M1911A1.

  • The 92FS in this video is new version lower frame.

  • Comment removed

  • you might use some more light next time cause its hard to see the details of a black gun in the dark,

  • the 92fs is the civillan variant it is slightly better than the m9, but the military uses the m9 for cost porposes

  • @5DayExpress That's an ignorant statement. Saying a 92FS is better than an M9 is purely opinion. I have an M9 and I like it better than the 92FS because my hands fit the grip better than on the 92FS. I wouldn't say the M9 is better, but I would say it's better for ME.

  • thx my friend:D

  • Whats the difference between an M9 and a M92F

  • @Sgtkillbot An M9 is a real gun made by Beretta that shoots real 9mm Luger ammunition. An M92F is an Airsoft gun that shoots 6mm plastic pellets.

  • @FatDaddyWampus your stupid a

M92FS shoots 9mm rounds just like the M9,and M96 and all M90 series

  • @Timothy2415 Please, post a link to where we can buy a gun called the "M92FS" that shoots a 9mm round.

  • My friend has a 92fs, need to show him this

  • Great Video, I Love the Beretta M9/92FS. I Think its One of the Very Best Hand Guns Ever Made. So Again, Great Vid. Thank u for it.

  • This is by far, my favorite handgun in the world. I always wanted a custom made beretta with custom slide, frame, grip, hammer. And most of all, jet black. with a silver chamber.

  • Well done video.

  • from hearing this i think the 92fs is more for comfort and accuracy as well as the m9 is for qucikness. all in all good guns my favs

    \

  • Been in the market for a 92 style pistol. Very informative. Personally, I don't know why there is any difference between the two. Civilians will feel like they are buying a lesser, inferior product when gun manufacturers do things like this. I will probably be buyiung the M9 from what I've seen. Thanks.

  • i heard the 92fs jams less than the m9

  • @radioactivemanonfire that was a problem with the mags. not the guns

  • In order for the USA to make this pistol in the USA and have the contract to its design we had to call it the "M9". Beretta is Italian, and is physically no different compared to the M9 internally other than some outer features, as described in video. Great video.

  • Is the m9 available to civilians, or just the 92fs??

  • are these two the same year? because they might have changed the design between their productions. But, i may also be wrong. Great Vid

  • The 92fs sights are way better and the slimmer grip with that radius cutout is sweet.

  • such beautiful weapons...

  • My Beretta 92fs is a Brigadier model and has all the features of the M9 except it has 3 dot night sights and is made in Italy. I like mine the best.

  • the only differences are the slide and frame markings, ...the different dust cover and gripform are not related to the military or civilian model but only to the production year of the 92FS.

  • newer versions of the M9 have a rail also

  • thank you for this vid ;)

  • great vid thanks

  • the beretta m9 is the american variant of the beretta 92fs

  • @GabryTheEmperor as you can see there are usa made 92fs

  • @karas89 is the glock 22 American

What would be Better an m1911 or m9

Cause I heard that the glock is being made in America now and to have all of the cops using it shouldn't it be American

If you know of cops switching to another pistol please list it and tell me what departure cuz I might be a policemen and I wanna know what I will carry

    Thanks

  • Great video! I bought my M9 today.

  • Also the M9 is American and the 92FS is Italian

  • @xlxgambitxsx No, there are American AND Italian 92FS's. The American ones say BERETTA U.S.A. CORP. ACKK. MD-MADE IN U.S.A. on the left side of the slide and the Italian ones say PIETRO BERETTA GARDONE V.T.-MADE IN ITALY.

  • @xlxgambitxsx Well, actually M9 is not the real (original) name of this pistol. It is just a name given by US Army for specification purpose. Original names of these two guns are Beretta 92F and Beretta 92FS. Both are of Italian origin. At first "american" M9 was 92F, but now they switched to 92FS. So, new M9's are supposed to be just 92FS's. Of course, this gun is manufactured in US (besides Italy) now.

  • nice video,nice guns.

  • Great vid, I always get these confused. The 92 FS is the military variant and the M9 is the civi variant? Again thank you for the vid

  • @Volkovic7013 The M9 is supposed to be the military designation.

  • @RaidingWindmills Ah, thank you

  • @RaidingWindmills so whats the real purpose of having 2 different models for military or civilians? i mean there isn't much difference (according to the video) other than its design and the sights.

  • @broodm I have no idea. Probably to satisfy the people out there in power positions who don't know any better. Just like they did with the 9 mm Luger in Italy where there is some dumb law that civilians can't have guns chambered in the same specification as military weapons. So they made the 9X21 mm round to make everyone happy. Very dumb things lawmakers do. If you ever press them on why, they won't be able to give you a good answer, just lots of bullshit.

  • @RaidingWindmills the police departments in USA that use beretta use the M9 or the 92?

  • @GetitUnderCool I'm not sure about all PD's, but last time I checked, the LAPD used the 92FS, among other guns.

  • @RaidingWindmills

Not sure about police depts, but I do know the Army and Air Force both use the M9, not the 92FS. (I'm an AF vet)

  • @RaidingWindmills I think LA County Sheriffs Dept still use the Beretta 92 as well. Under Chief Bratton, LAPD started issuing the Glock 22 to new recruits at the academy a few years back, but there are still many veteran officers that covet their old Berettas. Great vid, thanks for sharing!

  • @GetitUnderCool My dad used to be a cop. And he used a glock 22 .40 cal

  • @MaxParker22 i never understood the need for 40 cal, i think that 9mm is more than enough to kill a guy!

maybe criminals in the city where your father worked all wore some kind of armor!

  • @GetitUnderCool haha, the glock is mine now he gave it to me when i was like 10

  • @MaxParker22 Whaaaaaat????? a cop that gives his gun to his 10 y.o. son? you, know, if a cop does that in italy he ends up in jail and immediatly loses his parental rights! when a kid blows up his or someone else's brains it is not an accident, it's manslaughter and the guilty is the one who gave the gun to the kid!

no one should ever handle a weapon unless he is adult and properly trained to use it.

  • @GetitUnderCool You are pretty fucking dumb dude, You dont have to be an adult to have a gun, and you can also be trained with guns as a kid. Dumbass. You ever hear of hunting?

  • @MaxParker22 yes, but in my country you have to be at least 18 to have a license to hunt! and even if a kid

is quite good at handling a gun you can't still consider safe letting him wielding one. apart from that,

the only hunters that i know are old guys, and they go to hunt abroad in places like romania or ukraine,

since in italy there isn't much left to hunt, and anyway, young people are'nt intersted much in hunting. i don' know about usa but in my country

  • @MaxParker22 and other european and non-european countries, you HAVE to be an adult, and letting

a child handling a gun is a crime, just like letting a kid drive a car! personally i'm not particularly interested in hunting, i would choice clay shoting instead, but maybe it's only because the only hunters that i know are

rich, obnoxious, old guys who have to prove to their friends and to themselves that they have never lost their virility (which , in most case, they never had), and they

  • @MaxParker22 by shoting animals, that can't shoot back.

  • @GetitUnderCool shut your fucking mouth you little pussy ass bitch. Your annyoing. Man up. Dont be a lil bitch

  • @RaidingWindmills When I was part of the South Korean Security Battalion (Those guys who guard the blue buildings in the JSA) we were all issued a 92fs. Now the pistols are changed to a Korean Daewoo k5, but I also didn't really get the difference between the US Solder's side arms, the M9

  • @broodm At first the military M9 and the civilian 92FS were identical except for markings. Since then the 92FS has evolved slightly, while the M9 remained the same to conform to the original military contract requirements. The 92FS has a slanted dust cover because the .40 caliber version uses the same frame. The dished backstrap helps trigger reach, and the 3-dot sights are more popular with civilians. The civilian-legal M9 is the same as the military one except for serial number sequence.

  • @broodm interchangeable mags?

  • @RaidingWindmills lol what really matters ? their both guns and as long as they can shoot and kill or hurt than its good

  • @Volkovic7013 all branches of the US military use the M9, the 92FS is the civilian version, but is sometimes used by special forces such as the police and swat

  • great vid!!

  • Thanks! That's what I wanted to know.

  • I can't miss with this model. Problem is the 9 mm has no stopping power, gotta go 40 cal. but less accuracy, lol not much though.

  • No shit the markings will be diffrent the m9 was designd by and for the u.s.military off of a 92fs frame and besides the sights i c no difrence!!

  • great job on vid it makes me pay attention to detail an i like how you vid was tob the point

  • i just bought an m9mil spec beretta gas blowback, what type of gas di i use?

  • I have shot the M9 for the Navy many times. I could swear they have the 3 dot sights. Also I know for sure the spring guide in the M9 is metal. I have seen online, not in person of plastic spring guides in some civilian Beretta's

  • Great Video!! Very well done.

  • @eNosArmory Thanks for watching!

  • @bkpcom Beretta had a few issues with the slide breaking and actually coming off from the rear of the gun on the 92F. The 92FS is the fixed version

  • Don't know if you would know at all, but why would Beretta make such subtle differences and then market them as different weapons when they are pretty much the same?

  • Okay, then what is a 92F as opposed to the 92FS?

  • Okay, then what is a 92F?

  • Here is the right answer. The M9 is the millitary name given to the 92 series. You are just comparing 2 92's right there. Most likely different years or ones an 92f or 92fs. the M9 is just a Millitary version 92. hence M (Military) 9(92fs)

  • I think the only minor thing not covered here are the grip screws. IIRC the M9 uses flat head screws to allow the grips to be removed with any improvised tool (screw driver, coin etc) , where as the 92FS uses hex screws

  • Could you or someone else Elaborate or Explain about the 2 dot - 3 dot aiming system??? Im a rookie and have no idea about all this, but im extremely interested, Im going to the shooting range for the first time next Wednesday :D

Also, all in all what gun would you qualify as the better of the 2?

  • @Luishazong Actually, the Beretta M9 and 92FS are the same gun, with minor safety feature changes. The M9 is the military model marking, where the 92FS is the civilian variant. Both weapons are in the 9mm caliber, and both use the same clips. A two dot sight means that there are no markings on the rear sight, a three dot sight has dots on both sides of the rear sight. As the reviewer mentions, the two dot system is easier to use in combat or high stress situations.

  • The 92FS is a better choice, being that the FS designations means "Fixed slide"... There is a safety pin that keeps the slide from flying off the gun and striking the shooter in the face if your receiver lugs break due to stress. In conclusion, all military issued M9 pistols are identical to the 92FS, while older models that haven't been decommissioned yet are the older model.

  • 1:15 i knew that :D

  • m9 is american name for an adapted 92fs but 92fs is original italian version

  • Do the 17 rd Beretta factory mags protrude from the bottom of the mag well on the 92fs or are they flush?

  • @sjr341 From what I gather, they are flush fitting.

  • I mean "site or website" not sight.

  • whats the purpose of the dust cover? I'm very interested in guns and am relatively new to to it, so does anyone know a good sight, for beginners to learn more details about firearms.

  • hate warning labels on guns

  • Do you know if the Black Hawk SERPA holster for the 92FS will work with the M9, dust-cover considered?

  • @ArbyK Sorry, I'm not 100% sure. I've been thinking about that holster too.

  • @RaidingWindmills Wel shit. I emailed them (BlackHawk), but they're woefully slow to reply on some days :(

  • @ArbyK They should. They have almost the exact same shape and locking points. Dont quote me tho haha but I am planning on getting a serpa when I buy my 92

  • the m9 looks a bit smaller and thinner when it is next 2 the 92fs

  • M9 is basically a Military edition of the Beretta 92FS thats why you see alot of USA on them and they have a few minor tweaks to the slide. I believe the newer M9's also have an accessory rail on them too. Pretty much a bunch of hardcore military dudes all shot the 92fs and were given the right to change whatever they wanted to make it the perfect US military sidearm.

  • M9 also has a chrome bore and combat crown at the muzzle

  • I have a m9 and I love it !!!!!!!!! i m with it every place i go and vice versa. I use the winchester pdx1 i think its called in the 124 +p round is that a good round for my m9 also I still have the plastic in my m9 should i get the metal for mine or will it be ok thanks...rhino

  • Same capacity?

  • EXCELLENT review! Do they both have the plastic parts, or just the M9? I heard they put a plastic part or two in the M9 due to sand issues in Iraq...???

  • @kh2hbTV They both came with polymer guide rod, polymer coated trigger, and etc. But, I replaced all that with factory metal parts. Thanks for watching!

  • @RaidingWindmills how do you get the metal parts for these i have a 92f and want to replace my plastec parts and think bin wanting more pistol. so know i'm planing on getting a m9 and a 84f thanks man.

  • @harpy2010 The italian company called Brignoli sells the factory metal parts. If you have a Visa card you can make it happen.

  • good info! thanks! =) i love berreta´s guns! =)

  • were can i get the m9 exactly like yours

  • @mancilla903 You can order it online at galleryofguns(dot)com.

  • @RaidingWindmills How much do M9's cost?

  • @grandamracer23 They go for around $550, give or take a few.

  • i have a 92fs with the two dot sight what the hell is this

  • how many rounds do the magazines hold

  • @supershortyshotgun Standard factory mag holds 15. The new mag made for the 90-Two holds 17 and is supposed to work in the M9 and 92FS.

  • the M9 is a designation given by the military for a firearm that has passed military testing and with minor changes if any, go into military production. think about all the other M's in the military weapon cache. M4, M16, M203, M21, M14, M1 etc etc...

btw, the differences in the sights are just painted differently. the rear sight has 3 recesses. in the FS, the two side recesses are painted. in the M9, the center recess is painted. one can change the sight system back and forth from 2 to 3 dot

  • nice vid man

  • @xXxjoemanxXx Thanks for watching!

  • The M9's subtle differences are exactly what the looked like on a 92F I once owned years ago. It was a sub-compact 92F I bought from a former co-worker that he bought new in 1987. It was Italian made 13rd mag and 4" barrel 9mm. Straight frame, same sights, everything. I wonder why Beretta would change the model # if they kept the same characteristics?

  • @TheReturningShadow The 92FS differs from the 92F in that the 92FS has an enlarged hammer pin and a groove for it cut out in the slide. This helps retain the rear of the slide and keeps it from hitting the shooter's face if the side were to rupture/separate in half (usually where the locking lugs are).

  • @RaidingWindmills Ok. Good to know. I appreciate you give us some knowledge. However, I was referring to the similarity of the M9 to my old 92F. If they kept most or all of the characteristics of the old 92F, then why give it an M9 model number? Obviously the 92FS has different characteristics than the old 92F, so naturally the new model number. But M9? Does that have something to do directly with the military and there modeling system?

  • @TheReturningShadow M9 is the military designation, nothing more. Beretta has since marketed an M9, which is basically a 92FS in the same form as the one that was adopted in the '80s, while the base 92FS model has been evolving. Whatever pistol won the XM9 trials in the 80s would have been designated M9, whether it would have been the Sig P226 the Colt Double Eagle or the Ruger P95. The military ordered the M9 that won the trials in the '80s, so that's what Beretta has to deliver them (cont)

  • @PaleHorseWC2 thanks. you just confirmed my thought that "M9" was simply a military designation. I did notice the similarities the A1 and the 92. Including the light rail. thanks again.

  • @TheReturningShadow which is why the design of both the military M9 and the civilian purchasable M9 remains unchanged. When the Corps wanted improvements, they asked for them and subsequently got a new pistol, the M9A1, which I am willing to bet if you looked carefully at them, would have all the same features as a present-day 92 model, in addition to the light rail.

  • the m9 is much more sexy

  • can any of these beretta's be suppressed

  • @izzatmon Yes, usually you'd have to have a modified (threaded) barrel for a screw-on silencer.

  • thx for the info raidingwindmills frm philippines

  • this answer my question, tnx raid

  • @kidlat506 Glad to be helpful. Thanks for watching.

  • Go bowling for columbine.

  • Great info, I was wondering what the differences are. I picked up a Baretta 92FS INOX (made in Italy) today, looking forward to shooting it tomorrow.

Does the M9 have a polymer spring guide or metal? I plan on upgrading mine to a metal one.

  • so is the usa made better or not

  • i seen a 92fs that was made in italiy

your in usa why is that

  • @GENODELMAROATL Some are made in the USA in Beretta's Maryland factory.

  • I recently picked up an American Tactical Imports C92. I picked it up at a gunshow. It's made in Turkey and is a copy of the M9. Total cost out the door with bacground check was only $351. I have used the M9 and also the Taurus version, I could only compare side by side to the 92FS and all parts interchanged with one another. I ended up buying it and I have to admit, it shoots very well. If there were no markings you couldn't tell that it's not an M9. Google it.
