In so many ways, there has not been a change...Thank Spirit, Thank God! It seems that the one concern, no poor kitchens is pretty much taken care of..of course now though the kitchens are usually certified by health officials before they can receive from main supply. Smart actually since it keeps everyone healthy, fed, and safe. It would be very hard for anyone, let alone children to go hungry at a Gathering, and the quality and variety of food is amazing, absolutely amazing! I wish peace to all

I was there, a 10-year old girl traveling with my 27 year old mother and my 3 little sisters. My mother flew us out from Detroit, carrying fancy French luggage which had to be left at the bottom of the mountain. We each hugged a sleeping bag to our chest and hiked up to the meadow. My mother brought no provisions, and we ate little for 5 days. I remember reading "1984" by George Orwell (seriously!) and watching the parade of naked, tripping people walking by.

I was there. I don't see me in the vid but I was there. I was hitch hiking to Denver from Detroit that summer with a buddy and we heard about it along the way. We were camped right across from one of the kitchens but we had our own food. Long time ago!
