  • so lucky to have seen oscar, with ella and joe pass, before they were gone...amazing together

  • mind blow!

  • INCREDIBLE ,HE WAS PLYING LIKE THAT THE YEAR IWAS BORN ,MY GOD WHAT DEXTERITY . RENE WATERMAN .

  • One of my 2 favorite jazz pianists, along with Art Tatum. I heard Oscar at a jazz club once but when he was ill several years ago. A great pleasure to hear the legend.

  • Ecouter par Hiromi,c'est terrible aussi!!!

  • how beautiful

  • Crazy! Love it!

  • It's Oscar Peterson at his finest and I think George Gershwin is smiling big.

  • The all time PIANIST: Oscar Peterson

  • The all time best Bebop jazz Pianist?: Oscar Peterson!

  • RIP Oscar..just brilliant!!

  • WHO???!!!!

  • This smokes Bud Powell and I may even like it more than Lennie Tristano. I obviously need to hear more Oscar Peterson.

  • @Modes9 Strange sentence. Lennie got a totally different style and feeling. You could rather say Oscar is good but beer is better.

  • @Modes9 why does it smoke bud powell? I find oscar and bud to be very different pianists

  • @Modes9 i read "this smokes bud" and giggled like a school girl

  • @metaldruma911 lol, me too

  • Hiromi Uehara ;)

  • @strav12 WHAT?????!!!!!!

  • @foodmunkey What's with the what?

  • One of the best versions of this tune I ever hear (and the most influential for me)

  • i agree. it's unbelievable how good is his phrasing and control. technique is incredible!

  • That's absolutely right. His technique is comparable to Art Tatum, his greatest idol (and one of my idols too!)

  • he starts playing confirmation at the beginning, what a player

  • It's not Confirmation, it's Anthropology. At 1:05 it seems to be the beggining of Denzil Best's "Move". And he also plays another Bird's tune at 2:16, "Moose The Mooche".

  • @eastonmackay xDDDDD hiperfail
