San Andreas had too much. How often did you go diving underwater? The land to travel was cool at first, but got really annoying. Of course planes helped, but unless you cheated, they weren't accessible until over halfway through the game. And lawnmowers? Really? Though I never used bikes, I agree that they would have been good in GTA4. There was lots the added to SanAn, but it took away from quality. It was an ugly game, visually.

Ok, well to each his own. I just have different criteria for what makes a good game. I mean I was finding new things in Vice City for a year after, and I still am whenever I play GTA 4/ Gay Tony.. I just preferred the mood of the new game(s). Even Vice City was better as far as I'm concerned.

San andreas was the ps2 at its peak and i'm hoping that the final GTA on ps3 will advance GTA IV in a similar way.

Of course as far as soundtracks are concerned nothing will beat Vice City

@DemonicGenocide Vice City was awesome and I think it was the 2nd best game (my opinion) behind San Andreas, to me GTA: LCS was crap and VCS was okay but when IV came out it wasnt really what I expected it to be like, in a good way, then TLAD and TBoGT came and I love those 2 but it should have gotten a tad bit more missions cause i beat TLAD in ONE DAY but I'm kinda stuck on TBoGT.

The only thing your really missing out on other than a few new cars and new weapons. The auto shotgun a.k.a. streetsweeper was an awesome weapon, its like firing a sawed off at machine gun speed xD. Anycar is on fire after that, driver is dead. On foot, if that thing hits you in range you dead, its the best weapon to have when your behind a corner. In Gay Tony you have military grade rifles and machine guns, they can fire off like 200 rounds without reloading and explosive sniper/shotgun rounds.
