i try to just "be cool"

    but you know what,

im not any of thoes things

im loud and crazy i smile more than i should and i just let loose

and i dont care what any one thinks any more :/ ryanyour awesome

  • AMAZING. simply amazing! I wish I had this video sooner, I have been rejecting the fact that I'm attracted to girls for so long, and only this year I came out. I'm so glad I did because I'm happier than I have been in a long time. I now have the best girlfriend ever! Lexa, I love you!

  • You're MAGNIFICENT

  • Right on brother! I've been through a lot in my life and the way you described your childhood sounds a lot like the struggles I had. I will NEVER stop fighting for my own rights and the rights of others who follow in my footsteps. You are an inspiration!

  • I was always bffs with boys and not girls, and one of my friends confided in me he was gay last year. He's officially come out since then and he has inspired me to be myself and not care what others think. And it's awesome, because without that pressure, there's so much more to actually care about

  • ryan you are great. :)

  • I am a 32 asian gay male . love to play soccer . love to read manga .. love love Lady Gaga and weird enough i like to listen to christian songs .. Hillsong is my favorite christian gospel group..My father kicked me out because who i am but i don't care .. i love who i am now ...and who i will become. i have an amazing boyfriend .. ESPN and StarSports are my favorite channels.. i love to discuss politics. ....i know that i am not normal i am a special creature .. I Dare to be Different .

  • I'm a Bisexual female, and I'm afraid of my boyfriend's father finding out about it, because he is a very religious man and would not allow me into his home if he knew. MY father is a religious man himself, but he understands that people have the FREEDOM to LOVE whoever they want. It is very sad to me that more people are not like this, that people are so AFRAID and close-minded that they have to treat ANYONE as less than a human being. Ryan, I love what you are doing, and I fully support you.

  • Im Bi. There aint many of us at my school. I love this girl from another school. My mom wont let me bring her to the house. She is a nice, well mannered, young adult. I love her so much but my family is against gay rights. i just came out . I cant wait til the day i make a big speech about how Being Gay is ok. In the words of me and my Mich " Love is Love" Please pass that saying around get everyone who is a fan of lgbt saying it. Let the lgbt community speak out against homophobics. love Ya

  • wow, you are a great role model for anyone. may they be gay, straight or bisexual. It is nice to see someone being so open like you to show younger kids that it is okay to feel the way they feel. and they shouldn't feel like they should hide their true self. Keep up the great work Ryan :)

  • I am pan-sexual, a city girl in a country family, a fashion lover, an artist, an actress, a musician, a fighter and a lover. I am a dancer and am crazy and I wouldn't want to be any one else. Being different, being ME makes me special. Thank you for this. :)

  • here is something i say every day to get by in school and in life "u laugh because im diffrent i laugh because your all the same" and i get picked on alot because i tolled my "best friend" that i was bi and she wouldnt talk to me anymore she wouldnt come over my house to hang with me anymore she pushed me away bc i was something she didnt want me to be and i tolled her not to tell anyone bc i wasnt ready to tell anyone but her and she tolled every one in our school but im pushin to get thrw it

  • ive thought about telling people im bi for a long time but ive always been to scared of what other people will think and after watching this video i have the courage to do so thank you letting me know its ok to be different

  • im a lesbian and i get picked on constantly but i never let it bother me YOUR RIGHT BEING DIFFERENT IS GREAT >8D !!!

  • OMG RYAN YPY'RE AMAZING DUDE, I live you thank's for be a support a gays rights thank you a lot, I wish know more about you.

  • I am a Lesbian. I am Left-Handed. I am a Manga Fan. I listen to Classical Music, Emilie Autumn, J-Music and Lady GaGa. And my fashion goal is to dress in Lolita Fashion. I find National Geographic Documentals really interesting (and I'm only 17).

I have never tried to be "normal", and, do you know what? Being "different", "special", feels great. It's heart-warming. So, I have to say to everyone out there: BE YOURSELF, GUYS ^^!!!!!!

Thank you, Ryan. You are awesome ♥

  • i love ur videos ryan, keep up the good work.

  • AWESOME Message Ryan.. You are an inspiration to EVERYONE... We love your videos and your message. Especially in Only Gay in the World... I am 38yo and only came out 18 months ago after 2 Marriages(TO WOMEN) because I thought it was the normal thing to do. I have become a stronger person and am true and honest with who I am now. You rock, Keep up the good work. Can't wait to see the next Parody. :)

  • Simply AMAZING!!!

  • good on u!!! :)

  • hi ryan i have a question i did post it on ur we are who we r vid as well bu im bi anf i wanna know: how do i break the news to my friends and my boyfriend who all think sexuality wise im 'normal' how do i tell them?? hugz and kissez Georgia :) xx

  • Mac Miller - Live Free. Nuff Said.

  • Adults also need to learn not everybody is perfect they need to accept that not everybody is it's ok to be gay bi or a lesbian!

  • Thanks for making this video I can't imagine what it might be like but if u are gay bi or a lesbian it does not matter u are who u are and nothing should stop u from doing what u want. I hate people that pick or bully other kids just because they are different people should stand up and quit people from doing it

  • Wow that just made me feel a lot better, cause I am a cross dresser but I'm not gay or anything but soooo many people are aganst it. I get picked on at school and by my older sister and almost every body on my dads side. The only people that don't care and exept me are my mom and step dad and some of my friends. I just like to know that there is people out there who understand me. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • PLEASE TELL ME YOU HAVE SUBMITTED THIS FOR THE IT GETS BETTER CAMPAIGN!!

  • Amazing. Well said.

  • I am straight but he's right, that everyone should be themselves. If your gay, bi or lez then let people know. And if someone try's to judge you just blow 'em off! :)

  • I am personally thanking you and your mother and father for making you.

  • i like the end how he says "bye everyone"

  • I applaud you, keep fighting you fight<3

It shouldn't matter if you love men or women, love is love. And being able to harbour the feeling of love is beautiful.(:

I look up to you Ryan(:

  • I just have to say... you are amazing. I have nothing really to say out of pure speechlessness. All I can say is, I applaud you. Standing ovation just for being the person you are. <3

  • U r an inspiration ... I am 12 and I always stand up 4 what I believe in and ppl make fun of me today 7 th grade is hard my teacher asked the class " what is one thing you could change in the world?" I read my paper, I said that I would get rid of hate and judgement !! It was 3 Pgs long so I won't say it!! But u inspire mee!!! Also, I feel sad, why are most gay guys sooooooo hot funny and nice, and all sraight guys ugly and nasty and immature??!!

  • i dumped a guy because he didnt like the part of me that is bi and if he cant accept that he cant accept ME!

  • you are amazing! so inspiring!

  • stop zooming in.......

  • !I LOVE being gay and different! ^^

  • I love this video so much. All of your videos are amazing! I have to say, your video to Peacock is my guilty pleasure. <3

But back to this video, you're such an inspiration <3 I'm a straight 14 year old girl who strongly believes in equality, & you INSPIRE me to INSPIRE others <3 you should be so proud of yourself <3

  • Ryan,

You are soo insperational As a gay in middle school...its hard. So thank you. You give me that boost that i need, the strength to come out, and just the greatness that everyone needs. Your message is powerful and awsome. You are my role model and thank you for helping everyone(incudling myself). Im soo happy ur in LA keep it up and thank you :)

  • GOD BLESS THE GAYS!!!

  • your beautiful.. and seriously, this has such a great messae

  • ALWAYS DARE TO BE DIFFERENT!! SUCH A GREAT INSPIRATION!!

  • no matter what age no one should feel that. NO H8!!!!!!

  • This an amazing video. I definately know what it's like being gay a tormented. I have dealt with it my whole life and it's because of people like you, that stand up for what they believe in that I have been able to be myself. Which has allowed me to help others too. So thanks Ryan your awesome.

  • I'm not gay or lesbian or bi or anything, but this is a VERY inspiring video. I've never heard of anyone at my school being gay or anything but it's still inspiring. And I've also never heard of anyone cross dressing or getting in trouble for doing any of those type of things, but still. I have my support

  • i may not be gay, (but i have full support!!) but i have been bullied my entire life becuase of how i act and how i look (i live right on the mexican border.) a couple of days ago n MLK day my teacher called me up with a kid from matamoros, mexico. we r good friends btw. she made us hold hands, called us white and mexican. that may be true, but it still disrespectful.. >,< my school kind of sucks. its also a private school, there is a lot of gay bashing and when i say they are wrong they tease.

  • @thehelpfullhint Why would a teacher make you do such a thing? That's wrong and soo disrespectful! Does she believe that you are gay? Gosh teachers need a life and see what it's actually LIKE to be a student and have that done to you!

  • @itskaylaloozerz no. but i have a guy best friend that only sits with a table full of girls. they bash him, even though he is straight. we all stand up for him... but then we get the bashing too. some people have joined our side, but some others just keep bashing. >.< (that's my frustrated face) and im still in middle school. so this kinda sucks for me now.

  • @thehelpfullhint Yeah i'm only still in middle school too. I'm in the 7th grade now but even though there aren't any homosexual people in the school that I know of, you still hear rude homosexual comments about somebody. Like just because a boy wears skinny jeans it doesn't make them gay. And if a girl dresses kind of like a guy cause she's a tomboy it doesn't mean their lesbian.

  • @itskaylaloozerz exactly!!! im in the 7th grade too and i have to yell at the idiots making gay jokes. grrr.

  • @thehelpfullhint Yeah whenever I hear someone say something about someone else I ALWAYS say something like: You know that was really rude, or that wasn't appropriate or necessary and stick up for that person for being a PERSON. People need to realize that theres no such thing as normal because there is always atleast ONE thing about someone that makes them unique and who they are.

  • im so glad i went to the highschool i went to they accepted anyone my friend took his boyfriend to the prom and my other friend took her gf to the prom and we had a tournamnet every year for cross dressing just for fun anyone could do it, you could be you @ my highschool

  • hey ryan i put this on my fb cuz it was so enspriring

  • I saw this video and it was a great inspiration. I am going to carry this on to my school, because i no many people who needs to listen this, to stop judging people for who they are. it is a disgrace to see and hear what people have done to others about being gay. what happen to freedom of choice? if you choose to be gay people shouldnt discourage you, never give up.

  • How do you know who you are? I'm not sure. One day i'll be a hard working 'geek' and the next i'll be more feminine. Who am I? I'm SO confused. please help?

  • I learned this lesson at a very young age. The key to being who you are and loving yourself either way, it is quite simple. DONT CARE. I know it's easier said than done but once you start, people will like you, in fact they will admire you! BE YOURSELF!!!

  • i was picked on when i was younger for being gay and i know how it is i'm glad now i'm out loud and proud and i don't care what people think of me...

  • this makes me feel so much better at school if someone asks i will say I'm bi and i do prefer females I hate that i have to hide my preference because people already throw things at me because i like dressing as a male but this video gives me hope that things will get better. thank you <3

  • I love you(: Just wanted to say! Because it's true.. It really is! And I love what you are doing!(:

  • MY goodness, you inspire me everyday. You give me the strength to be myself and to remember that I am beautiful no matter what anyone else says. THANK YOU for everything and I can not tell you how much you have helped encourage me to really be ME. you have helped me to become HAPPY ......I <3 YOU!!!! :)))

  • This made me cry. I'm straight but I have SO MUCH respect for people like you who are such positive advocates to the gay community. THANK YOU for putting something like this out there.

  • How do I yell my parents Iam bisexual

  • you from scientology or smthing? freak

  • All I have to say is... Thank you.

  • WOW! As always you inspire all :o) Thank you for your wise words!!!

  • You remind me of my mom's best friend Per.

He was HIV positive and died when I was 14 years old, I was the last person he spoke to before he went in to a coma..

Thanks for being a happy person, just like him.. <3

  • Thnks for saying my friend ran away from home latly cause he was being hurt and called names from ppl and his parents about being gay wat sould i do?

  • THIS IS SO DEEP...THANK YOU!!!

i am speechless (in a good way)

  • This really inspired me... Made me shed a tear... :) i am more confident now... thanks!

  • WOW.... u rock man

  • You need to speak at events or something. That blew me away!!

  • OMG I LOVE YOUR WORDS MEN...

  • I love this video stumbled upon it and instantly was inspired to come out of the closet that I have lived in for 17 years and be myself. In doing so I realized that the light is way brighter once your out of the closet and the few bullies aren't enough to make the light go out.

  • it's ironic because i always tell my friends to be themselves and ignore those who are against them but i can't be true to myself because, like you said trying to be someone your not. i'm slowly coming to terms with my sexuality, this helped a lot :)

    Thank you.

  • ;( this is soo true i like cried cuz it all true this is like th best video and just becuz im gay people make fun of me well guess whet to all of u people lay off cuz im different and u should be proud to be a friend of someone like me

  • Thank you... ;'}

  • Wow. And I thought my school was bad. I'm stright, but I do have a lot of gay friends. I don't get in trouble for not saying the pledge and neither do any of my friends. The gays and lesbians in our school are aloud to bring their same-sex partners to any of the school dances. It's not exsactly liked by a lot of the teachers, but our princable is tottly cool about it. And I find it kind of funny that, sence he is in Afganistan, our subitute princable must fallow what he says. /w no choise at all

  • nickelodeon! i love rugrats!!!

  • That was a wonderful message. You really should be a motivational speaker. You would touch the live of so many teenagers. You have a great heart.

  • "Normal" ha that only exist on a washing machine dial.

  • I LOVE YOU.

Holy crap, I wish I was different.

I'm so boring; the only exciting thing about me is that I'm left handed. xD

I'm girl, but I'd probably give anything to be a gay guy. You guys have so much to stand for and I envy that. D:

    <3

  • I love your videos, your videos have changed my life, no I'm not gay or anything but now I see the lifes of all the kids I have picked on and they didn't Deserve that. I will now also be nicer to those I have hurt, I'm gonna let new people or those who are different be in the "popular" group, just because your in the popular group does not mean you have to be mean so I think you :)

  • Damn! all the cute boys gay :( w.e. ily vids<3<3

  • u rock man ! u rock !

  • I like what you do to gay people. Your videos help people to came out.

    Great work

  • I'm strait but I am shy around people I don't know how to be different around people but this video makes me want to change that

  • Being Normal Means Being Abnormal . . . if everyone was meant to be the same then we would all be grey blobs with no emotions

  • I LOVE YOU !!!!

  • Dear RyanJamesYezak

Your words are inspiring. I was too scared of coming out in high school. I never came to terms of me being gay till the end of my senior year. I am now in my freshmen year of college, and I am looking for the one guy that will make me happy. As of now, I am out to everybody but my family. I would like my first boyfriend to be there when I tell them.

Because of you, I have been able to come to terms with me being gay. Thank you. You are the most amazing person ever.

  • BE PROUD OF WHO YOU ARE!!!

  • how do i tell my perants im gay

  • @mrmills881 Just tell them. Tell them exactly how you feel & try to make them understand where you're coming from. Tell them that you want them to love you for who you are - and this is who you are. Good luck!

  • @RyanJamesYezak that might not be smart 40 % of homeless teens are gay becuz they get kid out by there familys

  • @RyanJamesYezak aww..... i love you, i cried when i saw this!!!!!! i love your "parodies" too.....

P.S.- LOL at the bye everyone at the end

  • @mrmills881 just come out and say it... tell them how u really feel hope it works out 4 u!!! GOOD LUCK

  • LOL... KooL

  • thiz is awesome

  • Is there even such a thing as "being normal"?

  • @sumthingkool321 no.... no there is not :) but nobody understands that

  • wow, so inspirational.

  • Thank you.

  • AMEN BROTHER AMEN!!!

  • I just love this. congratulations for a great speech!

  • So how do you feel about gay guys who insist that the gay image presented in the media is an insulting stereotype? We had a speech by this effeminate gay guy in our Gender and Visual Culture class complaining about the "stereotypical" portrayal of homosexuals... right.

Some people don't accept difference because they feel in order to be accepted everyone has to apparently be exactly the same (ie no different between gays and straights)

  • That's exactly the reason why I am studying Social Work. I want to change that. I think it's important to start at elementary school. 'Cause most teachers can't (or don't want to).

  • OMG,

    i kinda cried:(

today, my theatre teacher told me to STOP BEING GAY, she told me to respect her "religion" and to NOT be gay.

this just kinda made me feel a whole lot better.!

    THANK YOU SO MUCH!

  • I Love This video so much. It was so amazing to me i love your speaking, i thought it was so beautiful i almosted cryed. I came out to my friends and they all respect me for it i love being myself and people love me for being me. Thank you ~JDM~

  • omg i have a tear in my eye!

    i started to cry!

    u are so motivational!

    my new motivator!

  • Do you know who fault is? The Fucking church instead of preaching love and all those bullshits they persecute ppl whith different toughts and they discriminate ppl and they told that being gay you go straight to hello stupid bastard is n´t their god purely good if he is why da hell he sent ppl who done nothing ... humanity is imperfect ... Dude i love lesbians ... PUSSY POWER

  • this is so true. you are a great speaker ! <3

  • SOO true!! i agree with EVERYTHING!! i love u

  • my aunts friend is openly gay and loves that he can be accepted for who he is......My friends nd me though r not lezbien or gay lov to be them selfs and dont care what people say.this video is very inspiering and u should try to speak to different schools about this like go to them and make it clear that its wrong!!!!!!

  • i love you.

  • I have to say i love your videos and your blogs. I come from a very big group of friends were are different and so am i.

  • I love how you talked about the Mississippi girl. I was upset when I heard about it because I'm from Mississippi & I'm just happy the school I attended did not discriminate when it came to this issue. It was just so shocking when it hit so close to home.

  • Sing it Botha! It's nice to hear my own thoughts reflected in today's youth. It still surprises my how small the minds of the educated can be. You have a new fan in me, sir. And thank you for saying what needs to be heard! ;-)

  • I love you.

  • I agree w everything you said people call me weird ( straight girl) because I read a lot of old books ignore idiots who are conformists I have come to consider being weird a complement because it means that I am being my own original self

And why the hell are all gay guys so damn cute?

  • Imperfection is beauty, madness in genius and its better to be absolutely ridiculous than boring!!

    Said best by Marilyn Monroe!

  • Truly Inspiring...'Hey Everyooonnnneee.." LUV IT

  • I love this! Thanks for being a great person!

  • yu have amazingly white teeth!!

  • thanks for the edvice but please tell uss how to stand up wen your a little bit big a kid at school called me faT lady ple have a blogg about that

  • OMG yuh are so right!

Teachers; Grown "educated" people are the ones acting worst.

I'm sure your video helped a lot of the LGBT people to be more comfortable with themselves :)

  • I think it's rude that teachers would do that to lil kids and i think its good that u are happy to be who u are :)

  • You are a wonderful person, I love how amazing you are and Im glad I found your video blog.... Your an insperation and Im glad your on here speaking out for those who need someone too.....

  • More people need to be like you in this world :)

  • why couldn't you be the one my school chose to do the inspirational speech. At least for my AVID class. You are so right about being diffrent.

  • love all your videos..keep up the good work,,im kat from philippines...

  • Do you do motivational speaking for audiences?

  • @nasenn As of now, no. But, quite possibly in the future :-)

  • @RyanJamesYezak You would be a great Mentor Ryan.... I've just discovered your channels and am pleased to subscribe !! Keep up the good work xxx Love and Best wishes from Paul... Your an inspiration

  • i dont say the pledge. You should meet my parent, and maybe if some one besides me tells her this she'll understand.

  • i know this is besides the point but i live in a situation where my parents might react very badly, i might even get kicked out the house! ='( not to mention school, ill get ripped on for life, im 15 years old by the way

  • OMG you seriously inspired me! i really hope you get very far with what you do:) its awesome ! thank you :)

  • this is such a great video..thanx for the confidence..

  • thank you for speaking the truth, i am so sharing this on facebook myspace myyearbook, and what ever else i have

  • I'm a Christian. I believe it is ok to be gay. Only if you cant help but be that way. If you are that way for reasons like its the new thing or it's cool then it is wrong. I believe God wouldnt punish someone for loving someone. Love should be in personality, not gender. Besides, those who are Christians reading this, can you really believe in your hearts that God would damn someone to hell for only loving?

  • Inspirational love it. Just be urself.. Live and let live!

  • @ tooth: this is sick. Do you really compare gays with people who find children sexual attractive? Can't believe that I read this.

  • You are a great speaker! He needs a larger audience! Thumbs up if you agree! Someone should let him speak some where more public where more people can see and hear! I love the way he cares about this because most people don't give a sh*t and hate on gays and lesbians! It's wrong! GREAT VID!!!!!

  • I'm all for equal rights for homosexuals everywhere. But just out of curiousity, what do you feel about the rights for people who are sexually attracted to children or animals? It is somewhat of an orientation in itself too isn't it?

  • I LOVE U!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this guy is cool. i like him

  • Soooo inspirational!

  • Very very well said! I stand up and applaud you with tears in my eyes! Just a few years ago I finally said to myself " FU-K what people think, I am who I am and I love myself for it!" Truly inspiring! THANK YOU

  • I am ssssssooooooooo sorry that I called people gay you make me feel good

  • your sooo
