I hate seeing all those empty seats. I know American soccer isn't on par with the rest of the world but I'm also willing to be most American sports fans have no idea that it isn't and wouldn't care. The league needs to stop worrying about DP players and just spend money on PROMOTING in the local markets and getting better TV slots. I will support FC Dallas and MLS until the ghost of John Ritter turns to cheese...and yes, this has nothing to do with goal of the week

There are enough americans that can fill every seat in MLS games. The problem is, they are not MLS fans. Search Barcelona vs NY RedBulls, you will see that Giants Stadium was packed. Obviously to see Barca and if you watch closely, they cheered as loud our louder when Barca scored against their own local team. You can say they're just enjoying the game but whatever. Just do you part and attend MLS games. Wear your team kit when you go out. MLS is getting better. It's our only league.

maybe that wouldn't happen if mls wasn't trying to be a poser league. FC Dallas? since when is it called football here? Real Salt Lake? since when is spanish the dominant language in Salt lake city? so that's opposed to the fake salt lake? maybe if we weren't trying to be real madrid or barcelona, we wouldn't have to compete with them for fans

There are two sides of every coin. Some believe MLS team names like EarthQuakes or Wizards are stupid names. I guess MLS chose to gratify "euro centric" american soccer fans adding the FC and Real with city names to gain acceptance. Overall, it is a shallow way to discard the league because of names. If people are honest enough to care for the growth of the sport in their own country then support it. Most soccer fans are looking for quality. MLS will never attain it if it's brushed aside.
