  • you tell me why white spots on "Brekel Kinect"

are tremendous, and the armature is also tremendous,

this is terrible, someone has a tip?

  • @YokageStudios

    Thanks for the vid.

Also, how do you suppose this would run on a mac using BootCamp? I will need to run MotionBuilder on Windows so I am assuming I must do the same with this program. I feel like I don't know how it'll hold up with all these heavy 3d applications I will be using the Windows part of it for. Do you have any thoughts on this?

P.s. I don't have a Mac yet but I want one, don't really want to settle for a PC but all these programs I need to use are Windows only.

  • Well I can't get the stupid software to work. every time I install the required software and drivers and start it up, some stupid message comes up in the CMD window saying,

Please check your OpenNI installation - Did you remove any non-OpenNI Kinect drivers first? - Were you able to run any of the OpenNI samples?

It's pissing me off, I have reinstalled it over and over again and I get the same stupid crap! why does it keep saying that?

  • And why the heck is the Kinect App your using white and mines Black?

  • @D4v1dBr4nd0n Because I was using an older version and the new version are dark color tone.

  • @YokageStudios Well, it's still not working Bro... Thanks anyway!

  • @D4v1dBr4nd0n I had the same problem and my fix was downloading another version. It might be because your computer can handle the current version your using or it just don't wanna work. So try downloading an older or newer one and see what happens. I hope it helps and I'll look into it for you.

  • @YokageStudios This problem will interfere on kinect run and capture?? Because when i install older versions give worst problems!

  • Umm brekel kinect doesnt show up in the devices...

  • how can i import my one character and the the animation i have done to import in to maya?

  • @TheGennaios That I do not know sorry. But I'm guessing its the same way as 3ds Max since they both share the same files and parent company.

  • @YokageStudios how its done in 3ds max?

  • Can you do mocap with ps2 eyetoy???

  • @josemariomega No you can not. The ps2 & ps3 eyetoy is just a regular webcam. The reason you can use the kinect is because it has 3 different camera's(but only using 2). basic 480p webcams but the two lenses combine together makes out a 3d picture. Just like looking out your eyes. With both eyes you get 3d but with one eye close you get a flat view without no other perspective to make out a 3d image. So your taking a L and a R img and combing them basically.

  • (cont.) Try putting you finger in front of your face and close one eye and just flicker between them you'll see the difference.

  • Ok fellas, if you played around with your registry bla bla bla, you need to create a new user on your PC. If brekel is saying "cannot find environment variables", creating a new user resets your registry, Enjoy installations!!!

  • dont worsks in MB 2012 ..i had install MB 2011...

  • Mate how do i install the drivers for Kinect 3D scanner

  • please tell me if i can use two kinect cameras on motion builder??

  • @aloizio3d I dont know. I only have one Kinect but maybe you can connect two. If you can it will give you a better reference.

  • @al10naruto you will have to download an older version

  • 0:03 balls...

  • all my information all my knowlage on the matter. came from learning from you and you threw this video. the interface is much diffrent then how presented on my system, leaveing me to asume that this tutorial was made with a late version of the software... can i request that you make a new tutorial. covering everything you did here but on a windows 7 or vista OS w/ the latest build...?

  • Can u have to characters interacting with this software?? Very nice tutorial man thanks I'm buying me a kinect lol!!

  • Damn !!!

  • This simple program is tedious and almost not worth the effort to install but worth it when you do !, this guy is still euro trash.

  • This must be the greatest video i ever seen and he "did it just for fun"

  • cest super bon ton video...merci!

  • Thank You so much for putting this video up

  • What is causing the slow response of the "dots in this video, I am assuming the processing is to blame for this, I see a latency with the actual footage and the movement of the green bone or dots (is what i focused on ) any help would be great thanks !

  • Rectal connect?

  • GEE THX asshole for putting that on MAX VOLUME for me to blow damn speakers out!!!

  • A little problem with MotionBuilder 2012 - I don't have the Edit Button in the Character Controls :/

  • @Bowserkralle It should be a toolbar to the right of the screen so check over there. Or check under view. If it dont work try resting it.

  • ok no i gonna give a question of the questions; 1.can this plugin make head animations? (few similar plugins\soft have problems with head tracking)

2.can it be imported into 3ds max biped system? not rig but bip. (i made this 3 years ago but it was extremaly hard; is there any new easy way?)

  • @partikla86 1. Yes it can do head animations but no as far as facial animations like eyes & mouth.

    2. Yes there's no different how you export it. You still have selections to choose from. The most common files for motion capture when it comes to autodesk it .bvh and .bip so dont worry about it.

    -I hope it helped

  • Thanks a lot, it works perfectly now. You've been a huge help and I cant thank you enough.

  • @ItsAngryPotatoTime You welcome and anytime

  • do you need to rig your model or have any bones in it before being able to do this? because i only have a plain human model. please reply :) and awesome tutorial

  • @ItsAngryPotatoTime No you do not. All you need is a model in T stance.

  • @YokageStudios does it 'Have' to be in a T-Stance because my model has his arms down sort of. should i remodel it to have T-posed arms or can i just mimic the pose of the model?

    Thanks for your Reply aswell.

  • @ItsAngryPotatoTime Yes it has to be in T stance because thats "officially" how you suppose to rig you model and that's how most programs pick up animations from the start. if its not in T stance your arms will be calibrated funny. Ex: if your arms are out your models will be down & if your arms are in the air your models will be out in T stance.

  • i think you could use the ragdoll animation blending tools to make it smoother, but i dont know i still havnt got motionbuilder yet

  • What version of motionbuilder do you have?

  • @Dxariochannel I have Motionbuilder 2011

  • youtube should offer some sort of a sound normalization

  • Hey YokageStudios I sent you a question in your inbox and I'll ask here too, when in the video you go to Edit > Input, I can't seem to find that in Motion Builder 2012, nor can I find a folder of tutorial characters, could you tell me where I can get either or both of these please? Thank you.

  • I have a tutorial video ill be posting show how to use and install the software.

  • For people that don't have Motionbuilder, with brekels latest update you don´t ned motionbuilder, you can save BVH files

  • @Jocken75 Yes your right

  • @Jocken75 ,sounds good what about implimatation of bvh into LW >? how is the data >?

  • @HD3DTV _sorry but I don't know much about LW...but I think you can use the FBX files from motionbuilder in LW

  • I will be getting a KINECT soon, hopefully using this I can do mocap without paying 1000 for ipi soft program. Also I may need help in cleaning up

  • SO AWESOME! I totally saw this coming but I didn't think it would happen this soon!
