  • Matt Barlow, what a great voice!

  • nice list. oh by the way, Myles Kennedy's band is Alter Bridge.

  • @paulkyrby His band are also The Mayfield Four and Citizen Swing.

  • @zorland876 yup. love him and his high notes

  • 5:34 = bad boy face

  • todd michael hall wins

  • @zorland876 Sorry i forgot it Was there... great video thank you

    HAIL METAL!!

  • Missing Eric A.K. At the end of the song Doomsday...it's fuckin' epic

  • @SkizopaticMetalMan That's actually in my B♭5 collection

  • Matt fucking barlowwwww

  • Daniel heiman wins! xD

  • aren't these a6?

  • @XCPKK Not at all. That's an entire octave off.

  • How the fuck could you leave out the most blatant example-Tom Araya on Angel of Death, among others...the opening note to a landmark, epic record Reign in Blood, a TERRIFYING terrific scream thatt....shit, you could just burned the rest of this shit and just did THAT one- says it all

  • @blitzshriek999 It's a B♭5.

  • @zorland876 If that is true, then the 1st 2 singers posted here(Steven Tyler n Freddie whoever) are actually doing a B 5. Tom's is a 1/2 step ABOVE them-but seriously, I don't wanna rain on anything here, they're all good singers and very capable no matter what-I just always thought Tom should git his due, never seems to

  • @blitzshriek999 Look at my B5 video then ;-)

  • @zorland876 LOL- right!

  • @blitzshriek999 Fuck. This is gonna be some work.It seems to me, tho I could be wrong(and don't jump in here and say 'U R!")...it appears to be the very exact pitch, if not underneath, the one Araya does, on more than half of the ones posted here. I gotta check this out for my damn self, however-if ur right, ur right...i just dont think so...?

  • @blitzshriek999 What do you mean? Remember, there is only a half step difference between the two notes, and at this extremity it is harder for the ear to distinguish pitches. Some people also sound very piercing up here or strained, which can alter the way the note sounds.

  • Rob Halford is a good singer... but Daniel Heiman is a god singer ! :D

  • rob halfords automatacly wins!!

  • lol. dio's note actually split to a6 a bit

  • That note in mob rules by Ronnie James Dio (RIP) was when he was like 65. Therefore the best note on here by miles.

  • Gillan is GOD......

  • @ 4:14 Adam Lambert during his time with the Zodiac show !!

  • @soldatojoker85 if your even comparing dream theater to iron maiden, then you have obviously not listened no enough maiden. There's a reason why dream theater opens up for iron maiden and not the other way around.

  • @Th3Krusader i'm not talking about tastes here. i like dream theater more than iron maiden, you like iron maiden more than dream theater. that's ok. but dickinson is a crappy singer, really. i can't stand his singing and his "technique". chest voice too pushed up (sounds like he's strangling himself), flat head voice, vowels are all the same. i don't like his timbre, anyway

  • agora chegamos aos níveis mais absurdos d Terra e essa area aqui é só para quem pode. Essa é minha area favorita!!

  • The high voice of under preasure is Roger Taylor

  • @damabrazo Mercury sings the entire line, which slides up to A5. There is no break, and the timbre is the same, and it doesn't sound like Taylor's falsetto at all.

  • From where is this Sweet Thing version? Can't find it anywhere /:

  • missing Michael Kiske and Ralph Scheepers

  • @theclansman10008000 Kiske's only A was a harmony note behind an F5. Don't know any for Scheepers.

  • Eric Adams, a God.

  • Don't even mention Dan McCafferty, or John Lawton. Yeah ok.

  • @hermygagala I never heard any A5s by them. Any suggestions?

  • Comment removed

  • what about dream theater's cover of "the number of the beast"? james labrie goes up to A5. i guess you have never listened to it, it'd be in that list for sure :)

    excuse my english!

  • @soldatojoker85 Oh no trust me, I know that one. Now that you mention it though, I can't remember why it wasn't included at all. Strange...easily one of the most powerful notes that high.

  • @soldatojoker85 bullshit that was worst cover ever Dream theater Labrie cant sing live at all

  • @omnadrener you can't troll for shit, man. go listening nickelback...

  • @soldatojoker85 nah i listen to Maiden Queensryche Helloween you listen to Avenge sevenfold and dream theatre you fag

  • @omnadrener avenged sevenfold makes me puke violently, like you. go trolling with your arsehole while listening to that so-said singer who is bruce dickinson.

  • @soldatojoker85 ok your just an Idiot to knock dickinson the best singer Metal has ever seen

  • @omnadrener the best singer Metal has ever seen sucked live. labrie, after a larynx damaging could go up to the number of the beast a5 live. i never saw dickinson doing so, even in his youth. falsetto isn't valid, even i can do that. THIS ----> FACT. SO ----> STFU.

  • What about the scream in the original Painkiller?

  • @Videostar1another1fa The only A in the original is a background scream right before the solo. The A in Savage was more impressive.

  • @zorland876 Have you heard LaBrie's A5 from Another Hand/The Killing Hand - Live @ the Marquee? That one has a ton of great labrie high moments.

  • @JonnyGR04 Yeah, but that "only" goes to G5. I use that song in two of my other compilations though.

  • That note at 2:30... really?

  • @StageHolder What? :P

  • @zorland876

That's got to be the least "epic" high note that has ever been hit :(

  • @StageHolder You have to take it in context. Breone doesn't sing operatically, she has a very streamlined, rock-style voice and delivery, so when at the end of the song she bust out that note soprano-style, it's pretty impressive.

  • You didn't get Daniel Heiman's highest note from that song. Which is at 7:10-7:20. Much higher than all others.

  • @JaflooganVonStroodle That's because that's an Eb6...this video is about A5.

  • @zorland876

    Lol. My bad.

  • @JaflooganVonStroodle That's fine. That probably the most impressive *sixth* octave note by a male ever though.

  • James LaBrie's high note in the live version of Octavarium should be in here ;)

  • i think Daniel Gildenlow can sing even higher..pretty he executed a B5 near the end of the song 'Fandango'(by Pain Of Salvation)

  • check the final of "make believe" from AngrA, Brazil

  • what band is at 3:53 anyone? guy wih black jacket and mic in hand? thanks

  • @MidnightsHour That's Mark Boals. He's singing for a dude named Daniele Liverani, on the "Genius Rock Opera" project.

  • @MidnightsHour I think that it might be Yngwie Malmsteen.

  • adam lambert is the best in high notes

  • @damabrazo I prefer Mark Boals by far (he's my favourite singer of all time), but when it comes to more mainstream rock Adam Lambert is indeed the best, I don't know any other singer I hear on the radio that comes close to him.

  • Roger Taylr made the falsetto of under preasure no Mercury

  • @damabrazo Nah its Mercury. You can hear him singing that entire phrase as he rises up.

  • Wow! They're all great, but... Gildenlow is a kickass! :P Good to put him in the end to see the comparison. :)

  • Keep in mind Daniel Heiman from Highlander hit those notes consecutively and often. Listen to the song if you need proof.

  • @Kamarihi Rather from Lost Horizon, in the song Highlander

  • @Audioslave3 His only A5s are a brief uncontrolled scream in Cold Bitch and an even briefer scale in Kevin's Mom.

  • @zorland876 You call that scream uncontrolled? That scream must be the best scream in history!

  • @Audioslave3 Maybe, but its still uncontrolled, which is why its so brief and there's little technique involved.
