Thats a really good looking design overall, I like especially the way the wind vane is mounted forward and underneath the turbine itself. Neat and it works. I may have to build me one , or something similar. Looks good to me.

I am a test engineer. When I see "crash test" I am expecting a destructive ending. A crash test is when the design parameters are exceeded and the destruction of the device is used to gather data.

You All make fun of this, Just wait until your power bill tripples. The question that I have is How much for the 10kw ??? I would be interested. It seems a little noisy but it would fit in a residential setting. There is a new technology I would like to see incorporated in this is the Mag Lev bearings where it just floats. Many new electric motors are incorporating this technology.
