  • Sorry to hear about your bad experiences. I plan to bowl in this event next year in Reno. I hope I don't run into the same problems you faced. What time of the year did you actually bowl? I bowled in Vegas for the first time last March. I struggled with the approaches. How did you fare in the events after this tournament?

  • I love how you reminisce about the days when Leon was on the team......classic.

  • great form, just not ur day.....i need a new ball for medium-heavy oiled lanes, any suggestions?? plz help

  • Roto grip cell, Brunswick ultimate inferno, Morich levRG response are a few I'd recommend, but all of the ball companies have good med-heavy oil balls. Base the decision on your ball speed and rev-rate. Low RG balls with a strong coverstock work great for med-lower rev-rates. Then talk to your ball driller about the right layout for you.

  • thnks a ton

  • I just picked up a Storm Virtual Gravity and it seems to do really well on medium to heavy oil.

  • those r the best balls to get on any lane pretty much.

    great ball

  • I think, u should have sticked to that outside line...

but nice video. good to see, there are people who don't overrate themselves because of their houseshot results

  • Nice video. Shows the difference between a house shot and tournament pattern. Just curious what your league average and the average in this tournament? Real honest video here. Thanks for uploading.

  • I average around 216 in my league and it varies in these USBC Open tournaments. This particular tournament was bad. I bowl in a small town with one house and they do not want to fool with a sport league. You cannot perform at peak if you never get to bowl on these patterns. In the past, I have bowl well on sport patterns when I was able to practice on them

  • that is you need to make spares.

  • Nice video and recap of your experience. You have a smooth simple game, I like it!

  • i know lefty that was standing at the lane next to you, small world

  • what pattern was you bowling on?

  • what kind of layout did you have on your bowling balls?

  • You throw a nice consistent ball but I would go with an arsenal of agressive, mid-range and a spare ball, for sure, when going to the Nationals. I know from experience. Better luck next time!!

  • you only brought 2 Balls to a Nations tournament..well i guess i realized that was a big mistake..1 hint bring all ur equipment cause you never know what condition you will run into..good luck next time

  • How many lanes is that place?

  • It was 80, but their website is saying 78. they replaced the lane not too long ago maybe they only put back 78--I didn't even think to look while I was there.

  • THere's a lane in the pro shop as well. There were originally 81 lanes, but the middle 2 were cut out for the mechanics so they had an extra walkway

  • I think so too--last year I had better a better shot.

  • Rural... I've never been but I was told by some friends who went the shot was harder than normal. I would just love to get the chance to go! Do better next time! :)

  • I did, but not clearing the thumb cleanly was my biggest problem.

  • wow it looks like you tryed every single angle on the lane.

  • My hands swell every time I go to Reno, so that tough that night to get out of the ball clean. I've made some pitch changes a couple of weeks ago to help that problem

  • i understand how you felt!! my first game was a 131!! and i was in that 830 squad with no air!!
