I hate how people compare the 3 and say Adam is the best or David... Kris got a really loud cheer from the audience, and that performance of "Heartless" was great. Give him some credit too. I wish all three had had more time to rehearse. Kris looked at home on David's stage. Adam looked awkward. No one was holding Adam back from "getting into the song". Adam did that to himself. David outshone him. That's all. IMO and a lot of others who were at the concert and have seen the videos.

Yeah it is your opinion. I have looked at the video and so has alot of others I know too as you say, and Adam looked at home just as much if not more than David or Kris. Adam didn't hold back, he has respect for David since he was the one singing the song, so of course he could have took it over, and I am SURE rocked it out, but he isn't like that, so if that to you is David outshining him, then ok. David Cook did great, so did Adam and Kris with what they were given. NOONE outshone anyone.

On the other hand, to me David's voice is soothing even when he's belting it out in his upper register. I never hear his singing as wailing or shouting. I've barely heard a false note from David. I've listened to a lot of his music and most recently his live performances.

Well, ilovedrums71 you are certainly entitled to your opinion. Everyone has one as "they" say. I didn't hear any major pitch problems. And I didn't hear a whole lotta screaming either. But, just to keep you and everyone else who may not be as informed as I in the know, DC's been on the road singing at least 12 to 14 songs every night since mid-February on his Declaration Tour where he has to carry the load. The night before GMA he played to a sold-out Nokia in NYC. Just sayin'.

Ya all are going to hate me. I didn't like this performance at all. I think the whole song was very pitchy, especially David Cook (now that's called screaming very badly). I just don't like his voice at all, and wouldn't go see him in concert. However, I can't wait to see Adam in concert because I KNOW he won't sound like shit! If you go to GMA Summer Concert Series, the sound is much much better, esp for Kris and Adam. That video is great for all 3 of them. This video is good, but a little distant from Kradam.

I believe this is the SOUND check version, not the final version they posted on the GMA website -- you should check that on out on GMA. David is doing this song in concert -- since this was probably their ONLY chance to practice, they had to keep the group sing thing pretty simple and they did.
