What Buchanan says about the republicans trying to get the white vote is the only political strategy that makes sense. The non-white vote will not support the republicans no matter what. If the republicans could get even get a significant segment of the non-white vote away from the democrats, it would effectively destroy the democratic party. What Buchanan says about the republicans trying to get the white vote is the only political strategy that makes sense. The non-white vote will not support the republicans no matter what. If the republicans could get even get a significant segment of the non-white vote away from the democrats, it would effectively destroy the democratic party. But if they (republicans) could have done that, then they would have some time ago. Securing the white vote is the only alternative remaining.

First of all, while Pator Wright preached to the choir like all other religious leaders or icons. He didn't spread hatred in his church, he spoke about god and life. Wright didn't gain controversy until later, he made comments that were considered antisemitism (not anti americans or even anti white). Obama condemed the Wright for this.

How can someone say all men are created equal then turn around and consider a black man as not a whole human being? That's contradicting. Wright has a point. Any member of a minority group who votes Republican is basically handing the Republican party a pistol and asking them to shoot a hole through their cranium.
There have been more than enough signs that the right has little to no interest in advancing minorities and the only reason I can imagine that a member of those groups would side with the right is either to persecute another minority group or to imagine that circumstances will eventually improve. It's not gonna happen.

U.S. prisoners are U.S. citizens. Taking the right of voting away was wrong in the first place, their freedom has already been taken away because of their conviction(s). They have every right to representation as everyone else.
Again, there are no criteria for placement of the highest court in the Constitution.
