  • Great movie, this was the first time the band went public after being kitted-out, I was in my 2nd yr in the toolroom & in the band 2nd row 1 in left,: pm Jim macintosh, went to become famous in Canada, Harry Troup was piper at my wedding 1961 Dundee, my brother joined 1yr later (now he lives in fife) Dick Allen was great apprentice instructer, Bill Mclean ncr,s first employee & safety mgr. Dundee had 3% unemployment. Dundee was really HOT, all the best, Bill.

  • @newlochee. Some great info there! To make the connection with someone who was not only in the pipe band but also an apprentice in the toolroom when this film was made is fantastic. Thanks for responding to my upload newlochee. PS I now live in Lochee now lol.

  • Fantastic! I was 6 years old and Dundee was a vibrant, bustling city.....now the centre of Dundee is dead and bleak.

Remember when thousands would gather in the city square to see in the New year?

  • Great find willie, enjoyed watching this , is there a part 2 ?
