@VorpalDerringer Not to take anything away from the kid, because you're right, he does well, but the .30 Carbine cartridge is essentially an elongated pistol round. I load for it and and I shoot it. Recoil is negligible, which is one of the best bits about emptying a mag of the M1 Carbine as fast as you can pull the trigger and still putting rounds on paper.

Generally teaching a child to shoot, if taught well, will impart gun saftey rules as well, and they will be very responsible with them. The only sticky part is making sure the kid doesn't think it's a good idea to show the guns to his friends when you are not around.
I hate people that think just because you teach a kid about guns and to shoot them that he's gonna grow up to be a mass murder. People commit murders because they're fucked in the head, not because they like guns.

I started shooting with my grandfathers m1 carbine at the same age, and I'm teaching my little brother with it now. It really is a beautifully designed weapon, and its weight makes it a great weapon to teach with. Everyone knows the first lesson is always respect.

I was gonna say, that .45 had almost no kick. I wish I had an original WWI colt .45 with the diamond grips. I might have to sell my 1943 underwood carbine to do it. I love the carbine and its history. I think it's interesting how the carbine was supposed to replace the .45 giving a greater range weapon to machinegun crews and artillery crews. Even more interesting is the similar function of the WWI artillery luger with a stock for the german army.

@PackieBMX well we go target shooting for "fun" and he loves WW2 history AND he goes to a WW2 camp and that was his uniform 3 yrs ago. So why not combine them all in this video. Instead of criticizing, watch our other videos then respond. All I have to say...

Your son is adorable, and I'm sure that you care enough for him to make sure he used those weapons carefully. I started shooting with my grandfathers m1 carbine at the same age, and I'm teaching my little brother with it now. It really is a beautifully designed weapon, and its weight makes it a great weapon to teach with. Everyone knows the first lesson is always respect.

I was gonna say, that .45 had almost no kick. I wish I had an original WWI colt .45 with the diamond grips. I might have to sell my 1943 underwood carbine to do it. I love the carbine and its history. I think it's interesting how the carbine was supposed to replace the .45 giving a greater range weapon to machinegun crews and artillery crews. Even more interesting is the similar function of the WWI artillery luger with a stock for the german army.
