There are a few great things about this opening.

1.It's the slow build, the way Norm tapping his pencil on the bar starts off everything.

2.The incredible choreography required to pull it off, since EVERYBODY had to hit their marks at exactly the right time, which is also why they usually didn't do things like this.

3.It's a cold opening that has nothing to do with the plot of the episode.
