That 4-4-0 needs either cosmetic or running restoration. despite it's apperance and being in the swanee river for a long time, it's not that bad in shape, just needs a cowcatcher, a headlight, a tender, maybe a new cab because its looks like it was put together with scrap wood, and a good coat of paint.
@pennyf9 Actually it was just repainted a couple of months ago. I've got a couple of pic's after they sandblasted it. I haven't been able to make it over there lately to see what it looks like now.
@auburn2008db oh, they repainted it! thats good, now they HAVE TO HAVE TO HAVE TO get rid of that cab made of scrapwood, someone should build a better wooden cab. Better still, have it restore to operating condition!
@pennyf9 When I saw it they had removed the cab and had taken the stack off. So I'm not sure what it looks like now. Not sure if they put the old cab back on or put another one on. I'm pretty sure that they put the old one on.
@pennyf9 Yes and the restored and repainted the log trucks as well. I forgot that I had taken a couple of pic's of it after they finished it. I ran across them when I was going through my picture files.
@pennyf9 It's up and running if you haven't seen it yet. It's titled Another set of pic's. It's at the end of the video. I put the before, the sand blasting pictures, and the after shots in it. Hope you enjoy.
That locomotive was pulled out of the Suwannee river. I don't know if they found the tender or maybe it was in such bad shape that it was irrepairable.

Crazy 4-4-0. In terrible shape too. What happened to the tender?
