  • This is NOT there NATURAL ENVIRONMENT

Most of this seal colony were introduced here by Sea World in the mid 90's, over 120 rehab seal to create the seal rock reserve that back fired, seals preferred the soft sandy beach and they are no longer afraid of humans. The city of SD did this without a EIR, now we have a MAN MADE PROBLEM ON A MAN MADE BEACH.

    Educate yourself with the facts

Here are a couple sites I found with factuality documents.

    friends of the childrens pool.com

    childrens pool.org

  • These seals deserve to stay

People who think they should leave are stupid

That's not the only freakin beach around SanDiego there's more than 1 beach obviously

    THEY SHOULD STAY!!!!

  • im going there in 6 days can u pet them or no? like are they dangerous or will u scare them?

  • If you want to watch Seals, go to SEAWORLD. Because of these Seals, the Great White Sharks will soon be coming to San Diego / La Jolla Beaches. More Seals = More Great White Sharks. Google this “LA JOLLA SHARK ATTACK” and see for yourself. If you want to swim in San Diego’s Beaches, get rid of these Seals… otherwise watch your back for a Great White Shark when you swim or surf. Return Children’s Pool back to the “Children” as it was intended.

  • @rocketscyther If you don't want sharks or wildlife go to a swimming pool it's called the Ocean! It's a complete ecosystem. Go tour Wet and Wild swimpark. Trying to say the seals should be removed from their natural habitat is ridiculous. Swimming and surfing in the ocean requires respect for all that in included. And precaution.

  • This is not a natural area. The wall was created for children and people to swim. If you really want to see seals in their natural habitat, tear down the wall.

  • i punched one yesterday

  • I love the seals!! They are such great animals! I hate people who disturb wildlife in their natural habitat... Leave the seals alone. Humans are greedy !! Find another beach to hang out at if you dont like seals! =)

  • MAn, I live here! and I love the seals! I got so pissed when i saw this jack ass go down on the beach an blow a air horn to make the seals go away! i was so happy that the seals showed up like 2 days later! i hope that guy and TheGranule both burn in Hell!

  • @HeyHoPatricio I wish the air horn made the "Seal Nazis" go away.

  • they look absolutely delicious

  • Hurts to see how there are the few who want to get rid of the seals. Not only is an attraction for those who come to SD but they don't bother anyone and they keep to just that one area. There are many more beaches along the SD shores to go to including 1 on each side of this area. So those of you who are from out of town and Loved seeing the seals while you were here PLEASE write to our City Council and our Gov. and tell them to Leave the seals alone. Thank You so much.

  • This is always a highlight to all the visitors to San Diego. Seeing real life nature in all it's glory. Enjoy the Harbor Seals as most all of us in San Diego do! xo

  • ohhh sooo cuteeeeeeeeee!!!i wanna come back to san diego just to see that!!:D ciaooo
