HIs tone is fine for live stuff, but when teaching guitar, you need to clean it up a bit and turn the delay off so the students can hear clearly what you are doing.

The recording quality is fine (a little compressed, but it is youtube after all), the hiss in the background isn't bad recording, it is the gain on the amp. I've neve liked his sound. For example I love the way Santana, Hammitt, Clapton and BB King sound. They have good tones. Lynch is a great guitarist and one of the best ever, but his sound is hollow.

Na, the toes are fine, man! I first saw him open for Priest on Dokken's Tooth and Nail tour. You seem like old school, like me. He has an interview here somewhere where he talks about how his body building interferes with his playing ability, and that he's had to make some sacrifices due to that. That might mean that his larger fingers have taken away some speed. It's not love, has got to be my fav. Damn, showing my age here!

I've neve liked his sound. For example I love the way Santana, Hammitt, Clapton and BB King sound. They have good tones. Lynch is a great guitarist and one of the best ever, but his sound is hollow.

that is hight aruond here too. I have the doug marks metal method and am just starting stage 5 of 6 and from there will probably try to find some other decent dvd. I have been at it a little less than a year and can play about 12 songs from the 80s and some classical pieces.
