The calendar man thing works on the dates of your xbox, so you can just go to the dashboard, change the date to October 31 (for the Halloween thing of course) and go back and talk to him and find out what he has/says. Simple. You don't actually need to talk to him on the day IRL, just set your xbox date to that exact day and you can do it.
