It is puzzzling the nasty, personal attacks the great Valdes provokes. I was there (Thank You Natasha for filming it and the world to enjoy). It was electric, both were there to excite and provoke exactly what they did. That said, she always gets attacked viciously. This wonderful ballerina transmits emotions and style that few can match.. Osipova whom I love does even more tricky acrobatics, developes to her ears but is praised. Maybe it's a racial thing, but few would dare admit it.

I'ts a GALA, tricks are the main course. Valdes is critizised for holding extended balances to the delight of an audience, all the excess provided by Vasiliev is art and acceptable. Such hipocrisy.This version of the Pas' is not the Cuban version which tecnically is more demanding, she danced this version at Ivan's request because he had no time to learn the Cuban. Sure she spins like a top and balances for minutes? Do you go to the studio to learn double pirouette and balance for a second? LOL!

Could be bad o good taste the way of dance of many prima donna's but only for the hard work of that dancer i will demonstrate my respec.
