The symbole is called swastika or wan in Mandarin, originally from India.

In TW, it is often used to represent buddism, temples on maps, or vegetarian.

It also reprents vegatarian because a lot of  ppl become vegetarians in TW due to thier religious believe of buddism or taoism.

Although I use both, I prefer to type bopomofo because you have to actually know the tonation of whatever word you're going to type.

Looks very nice. I'm living in a small area in Japan but the people seem less friendly than here. However I've been to many places like this in Japan as well. I always love seeing the day to day lives of people in places I've never been to. Great vid!

Where exactly in Japan do you live?

I live in Tochigi prefecture which is in the Kanto region of Japan. West Japan is much friendlier and open to people than the Eastern part. However, I'd say every place I've been to other than where I live is friendlier. The people here are very conservative and tend to only keep to themselves. However, I have come across some very friendly people that make my day when talking to. But they seem to the the rarity in this prefecture.

Also, it isn't just to foreigners living in Japan. Even other Japanese feel this way when visiting the area. The people here even call other Japanese "outsiders" .
