I remember seeing The Fish That Saved Pittsburgh" on TV when I was very young. Julius "Dr. J" Irving was in there and the kid that tailed him around the place was James Bond III. James gave us that strange 90's movie called "Def By Temptation" starring Kadeem Hardison, Samuel L. Jackson & James's cousin, the beautiful & sexy Cynthia Bond. When I saw The Sylvers credited for the music I yelled out I REMEMBER THEM!! lol. I also knew that soundtrack songs don't always leave a strong impact.

you gotta be kiddin me. Wow! The halftime show of one of my favorite movies of all time. I tell my students about movies I grew up watching as a child in Philly. I had to be about 7 when I first saw this and remember it soooooo well. So many stars and the music was fiya and is still relevant. BET needs to show it on its Black Cinema Classics. Anyway, I'm gettin my copy tomorrow when I go pick up Uptown Saturday Night. Thanks for posting this. You blessed me.
