she has such a sultry voice and her whistle notes are so beautiful. at first, i wasn't a fan of the airiness but i realized that it blends in better with quiet songs and she has control over it. she's clear when she wants to be. plus mariah's whistle notes tend to be airy too and i didn't notice that until i heard the same airiness in chante's whistles. btw you scared the heck out of me i turned my volume up for the c#7 and then you blasted that song at the end lol i almost had a heart attack!

@Sdvr010fan ...THANK YOU!!! someone finally understands about chante's whistle abilities...it's SO much more controlled and cleaner. i discovered she had that ability back in 1992 when she came out with her first album. i was shocked...but i also understood that she's going to be underrated cuz she's not mainstream. she's more respected in the jazz scene...which i love!!! stay true!

You gotta admit that her low regiser is so sexy. I would wanna call her Lyric Mezzo-Soprano instead of a Coloratra Soprano. I know she has a nice tone in the Soprano range but her low register is very seductive. Her low notes are harmonized maerial are sweet.

A highly underated singer iMO. She had it all, the looks, the voice, and the stupid azz record companies didn't know what to do with her. She had too much talent and ability for them to market her to a certain audience, so they just let her languish and eventually dropped her from their label. Record companies only know how to push trite like brittany spears, singers like Chante are too much for their meager brains.
