I'll admit that I was intrigued about Nicole playing Maureen. Her vocals are phenomenal and she brings a sultriness that I haven't seen for the role, but I also feel that there should've been more of a spark or fire behind her intentions, because I feel something is missing. But her voice is top notch.

Idina is a better actress but Nicole is definitely a better singer. We also cannot compare since Nicole only had a week to prepare and this is her first time on the role while Idina had months and is a veteran. I think with more preparation and time Nicole could be a better actress than Idina.

I'm glad Nicole got a chance to show the world how talented she really is. She was from the Pussycat Dolls so not a lot took the time to research and know that she majored in musical theater, minored in dance, had extensive background in opera and classical singing and musicals.

She may not be that popular but she is a great actress, great singer and a great dancer (she won Dancing With The Stars and hailed the best dancer of the show so far) and a songwriter not to mention her looks and body.
