I do like classical, but I think the musical scoring was a poor reflection of CV-IV Beginning or any of the NES version of Beginning

There's too much sarcasm or lightheartedness for it to be taken seriously.

Castlevania is dark, depressing, SUDDEN, foreshadowing...., prolonged in horror and anxiety, hope succumbing to doubt and despair. All the while, working an impossible Triumph with the feeling of insufficient Faith, Strength, Physical Endurance, Spiritual Fortitude, Passion, Discipline...

I read this comment when I first hit play, and thought it sounded kind of snobbish, but as I listened, I totally agree. This arrangement was totally lacking in passion and force. When the music did have some strength behind it, it was bombastic rather than foreboding (Although it picks up around the 4:00 mark). Well done, but lacking in tone.

lol it says in the video description its the Castlevania orchestral suite, which, in case you dont know, is a lengthy track consisting of many compositions from castlevania...i know the tracks anyhoo's, its got vampire killer, music from cv1, 2 and 3, dracula x, and 3:25 is from Lament of innocence tho the intro sounds like sotn's final tocatta :)

Castle Vania has always had amazing music. I remember the first time I played Castle Vania IV and made it through to the cave stage. The music was just jaw dropping, even on the fairly simplistic SNES audio chipset. When I got Castle Vania Dracula X for my TG16 CD system it blew me away. Since those days their soundtracks have only become better and better.

Musicians like Michiru Yamane, Nobuo Uematsu, Yuzo Koshiro, and all the others have always composed their musical scores with a full orchestra in mind. Of course in the 8 bit game system days they were very hindered by the sound limitations of those systems. 16 bit systems changed that to some degree, but even then they were restricted. Turbo Grafx 16 CD allowed for full orchestration of live recorded music, but the Playstation was the system that revolutionized "game music" forever.
