  • Actually the effects are better in the 1978 movie and there is more gore and it was done without computers.

And to say "Dawn of the Dead" was nothing special (or the effects) compared to "Land of the Dead?"

Sorry, your review is way off base. And Savini is the master. He should have won an Oscar for his gore in "Dawn" and "Friday the 13th."

  • 666gorewhore here. It was a good review for people who appreciate the genre. I however am a very critical zombie movie fan. Peter Jackson's Dead Alive (Brain Dead in the UK) was the shit. It was undoubtably the goriest zombie film to date. Dawn of the Dead was entertaining, but to me lacked as much fun as one could have in a mall running from zombies. I think it deserves a 6 outta 10 at best...no offence dude. But seriously dude, watch Dead Alive.

  • @666gorewhore This may surprise you, but I have seen Dead Alive. I actually own it. It's a great gore fest & a good zombie movie. I liked Dawn of the Dead more because it was more entertaining. Dead Alive was known for its gore, but Dawn of the Dead was known for its comedy, awesome special effects, gore, & acting. They're both great movies!
